Bought a bed base from dial a bed New Market Alberton on 15th May. i told the salesperson i work till 5 took time off for delivery at 16:00. He agreed. At 17h40 driver called and informed me his on his way from centurion. It's getting dark and had to reschedule After 10+ calls and rude treatment from the call centre they agreed to Saturday 23 may. Driver called at 14:00 saying he have flat tire. then switch his phone off and never showed. Alberton branch gave zero help. Today 25 May beds still not delivered. Staff lie, driver don't show and customer service doesn't care. Don't buy from dial a bed if you value your time and money

I purchased 2 sets of the Forty Winks Activ Flex Motion beds with the Liyah Winged headboard. The cost of both sets were close to R100 000. Upon receipt of the headboard we found that the headboard did not base did not fit correctly against the headboard and there is a huge gap between the two. I called and was told to come in to discuss the matter. I went in twice to explain my situation. Note that the bed and base was sold under advi*****t of the manager and floor staff. When I went in for the second time I was then told to send pictures so that the matter could be escalated to the supplier. I sent the pictures(proof available) and was told to come in. I then went in again and was told that the supplier would visit my premises to view the bed. This never happened. I did all of this and five months later I am told by the store manager that the supplier indicates that there is nothing that can be done. I was told I would be given a pillow to fit into the huge gap between the Headboard and base. I did not pay a huge amount of money to receive substandard quality items. It is almost impossible to sit against the Headboard as there is a huge gap between the two. At night we have to fill the gap with small pillow or else our main pillows fall into the gap. I am hugely disappointed at the service received from the store for a problem that is clearly theirs. I am requesting an escalation of the matter and a refund.

I purchased 2 sets of the Forty Winks Activ Flex Motion beds with the Liyah Winged headboard. The cost of both sets were close to R100 000. Extremely disappointed with Dial•a•Bed Hillcrest. We were recommended a Forty Winks bed and spent over R18 000, only to find that the bed caused severe lower back and shoulder pain. I had restless nights tossing and turning from discomfort. After reporting the issue, we made use of the so-called “100 Night Sleep Guarantee” less than a week later. Instead of helping us properly, the salesperson once again convinced us to take another Forty Winks bed, which required us to pay in even more money. Over R26 000 later, I now wake up in tears every morning from the pain. We have tried everything — adding extra foam toppers, adjusting the setup, and repeatedly going back to the store for help. Every time we go to Dial•a•Bed Hillcrest, our salesperson is apparently “on leave” and nobody assists us. I am a salon owner and work on my feet all day, so sleep and proper support are extremely important for my body. Honestly, my previous R5 000 bed was far better than this one. It has only been 5 months and I genuinely cannot take another sleepless, painful night. In my experience, the “100 Night Sleep Guarantee” feels completely misleading. I would strongly advise others to do thorough research before being persuaded into purchasing a Forty Winks bed.

Following my complaint, I must commend Dial-a-Bed’s team for their rapid response, they got back to me within two hours or less, and the item was successfully delivered to my door the very same day. They explained that the delay was due to severe weather conditions, specifically the recent rains and floods, which is entirely understandable. However, as a matter of good business practice and consumer transparency, I would have greatly appreciated it if this had been communicated to me earlier, rather than leaving me in the dark until I escalated the matter. That being said, I sincerely appreciate the team reaching out so quickly to rectify the situation once the issue was raised. Thank you for the swift turnaround.

I placed an order on April 24, 2026, and received confirmation on April 25 order number #2000228420. At the time of purchase, I was provided with a clear delivery window of 5 to 10 working days. Based on those terms, the latest I should have received my order was May 11. On May 6, noticing that there is no functional online tracking system for orders, I proactively reached out via email to request a status update. I was told the order was "pending delivery." Today is May 13, 2026, and I have received zero further feedback, no delivery arrival, and no explanation for the delay. As a person working in sales I value clear communication and the fulfillment of orders, Dial-a-Bed has failed on both counts. I placed my trust in this brand to manage a purchase efficiently, but the experience has been far from ideal and this is the longest I've waited for any online purchase.

The team was able to accommodate my request to update both numbers so I can be reachable. I was worried when I didn't receive my delivery on Friday. However I was able to receive it after the team got back to me and confirmed delivery for Saturday. I really appreciate it and what a comfortable bed set! Quality of high standards
