After a 36 month contract on a product, I went through the process of taking full ownership, as is stipulated. After the period ended, I am STILL being charged for the product, and rude call center agents refuse to put me through to a manager under the guise of saying "they're busy and will call you back" or "they're not at work, I'll get them to call you back when they arrive".

I am writing this to express my utter disgust and disappointment with the treatment I received from a Teljoy representative, Celiwe Shabalala. As a long-standing and loyal Teljoy customer, I have always done my best to honor my commitments. Due to incredibly difficult personal and financial circumstances—compounded by the fact that I am the primary caregiver for my 81-year-old mother who suffers from Alzheimer's—my account recently fell into arrears. Even during these trying times, I demonstrated good faith by consistently making partial payments to show my commitment. I proactively sent a sincere, detailed email to Teljoy explaining my situation, requesting a brief grace period until the 3rd of June 2026, and committing to an extra payment to reduce the balance. I explicitly promised to send the proof of payment directly to Celiwe. Instead of receiving a professional response or a modicum of human understanding from a brand I have supported for years, I was contacted by Celiwe Shabalala, who was incredibly abrupt, aggressive, and openly hostile. She conducted herself as if I personally owed her money, rather than representing a corporate entity! Her aggressive demeanor completely disregarded my long-standing loyalty to Teljoy and showed zero empathy for a vulnerable personal situation that I had already transparently communicated. It is clear that loyalty counts for absolutely nothing at Teljoy. While I will still honor my commitment and make the payment on the 3rd of June as promised, I expect management to address this toxic and unprofessional behavior. Customers facing temporary difficulties deserve to be treated with dignity, not subjected to bullying.

I am a first time buyer with teljoy. I rented a Samsung tv which came broken the first time. They sent a new one. Being a woman, out of fear I waited for technicians to unbox and install. They put the tv on on the box and said its fine. They were rude. After we put the tv on our own bracket and removed the sticker we saw a crack under the sticker. Now teljoy does not want to compensate us for experiencing this twice. It is so heart sore to want an item and companies do this. From the call center to the technicians. Everyone is very rude. They actually go as far as saying you broke the tv so you are liable despite purchasing and wanting the appliance.

I am posting this in the hope that someone at Teljoy finally takes ownership of an issue that has been handled extremely poorly for months. I entered into a Discovery Vitality/Teljoy Garmin device agreement and successfully completed all my required fitness and activity goals throughout the full 24-month period. My understanding, based on the way this benefit is marketed and communicated to consumers, was that meeting the required goals over the agreement period would conclude the arrangement and allow ownership of the device to transfer. Instead, after the agreement period ended, I continued being billed with little to no explanation as to why. I repeatedly contacted Teljoy customer service requesting clarity regarding: * why billing was continuing; * how to close my account; * what steps were required to transfer ownership of the device; and * whether any further amounts were outstanding. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance, I received inconsistent and incomplete information from different agents. Responses took weeks, and at no point was the process clearly explained to me. Only much later was I informed that: 1. Teljoy allegedly only had my activity information up until February; 2. my March and April activity data had supposedly not reflected on their system; and 3. an additional “option payment” process was required in order to transfer ownership. I have since provided proof that all required fitness goals were achieved for the outstanding periods as requested by their own agent. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that my account also experienced billing issues at the start of the agreement, where I was incorrectly billed and only partially refunded. Consumers should not have to fight this hard simply to: * understand their account; * stop incorrect billing; * obtain clear settlement information; or * transfer ownership after complying with the programme requirements for 24 months. At this point, I require Teljoy to: * confirm that all activity goals have now been correctly updated on my account; * confirm whether any amount is genuinely still outstanding; * provide a final written breakdown of exactly what is required to conclude this agreement; * stop any further unnecessary billing; * confirm closure of my account once resolved; and * confirm removal of my banking details from active billing systems thereafter. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, lack of accountability, and overall customer service experience surrounding what should have been a straightforward process. I hope this complaint reaches someone at Teljoy who is willing to properly resolve this matter urgently and professionally.

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, without a doubt. I app**** for a dishwasher through Teljoy and it got approved. I received phone calls asking for me to verify my details over and over again. If fact in one call they asked me the same thing twice. Now, I had already given them everything they needed, all the documentation. So i cancelled, then a lady clled Lizanne contacted me and we sorted the issue out and I signed the contract and sent it back I then received an email saying thr dishwasher would be delivered by the 21st May. I took a days leave so I could be at home to receive it. Early in the afternoon I sent a message via WhatsApp asking if the delivery would still be taking place and I was assured it would be, by 17:00. At 15:00 i sent another message and was told they cannot track the delivery but it would delivered by 17:00 17:00 came and went no delivery. No one, absolutely no one contacted me from Teljoy telling the delivery would not arrive On then 22nd I contacted them again telling them to cancel the delivery as I was going away and to cancel the whole contract Within 5 minutes I receiced a WhatsApp from Nucleus Couriers saying the delivery has been scheduled but it would take iup to 5 days. I went into the tracking link only to find the unit had not even been collected yet. I contacted Nucleus and explained I had cancelled the contract and they must cancel the delivery. Teljoy had not informed them of this I then get a phone call from Nucleus saying the delivery will be done on Monday 25th May, bearing in mind I had already explained to Teljoy I would not be at home, and bearing in mind I had already requested the cancellation. No One from Teljoy had the guts to call me, not a soul from Teljoy has contacted me, no apology, nothing. I wasted a days leave because of them, I wasted my time even dealing with them.

Early in the afternoon I sent a message via WhatsApp asking if the delivery would still be taking place and I was assured it would be, by 17:00. At 15:00 i sent another message and was told they cannot track the delivery but it would delivered by 17:00 17:00 came and went no delivery. No one, absolutely no one contacted me from Teljoy telling the delivery would not arrive On then 22nd I contacted them again telling them to cancel the delivery as I was going away and to cancel the whole contract Within 5 minutes I receiced a WhatsApp from Nucleus Couriers saying the delivery has been scheduled but it would take iup to 5 days. I went into the tracking link only to find the unit had not even been collected yet. I contacted Nucleus and explained I had cancelled the contract and they must cancel the delivery. Teljoy had not informed them of this I then get a phone call from Nucleus saying the delivery will be done on Monday 25th May, bearing in mind I had already explained to Teljoy I would not be at home, and bearing in mind I had already requested the cancellation. No One from Teljoy had the guts to call me, not a soul from Teljoy has contacted me, no apology, nothing. I wasted a days leave because of them, I wasted my time even dealing with them.
