Complete incompetence in accounting division they debit u the full amount then say your service is disconnected when u have a technical issue yet the proof is there u paid I wouldn't advise getting a unit from tech 5

I’m extremely frustrated that my WiFi connection is down again for the second time in less than three months. For a service that charges such a high monthly premium, this level of unreliability is completely unacceptable. What makes this even more disappointing is being told that “a ticket will be logged” and that the issue will only be attended to within three working days. In today’s environment, where reliable internet is essential for work, communication and daily life.

I’ve been without WiFi for 7 weeks and this has been extremely frustrating. I requested a refund, but instead of resolving the issue, I keep getting passed around—from Zoom support to Tech5—without any clear solution or accountability. The lack of communication and proper assistance is unacceptable. I just want this resolved or my refund processed as requested.

I am currently a customer with Tech5 and over the last 3-4 weeks , there have been several issues with internet consistency. There are several disruptions which personally affect my ability to work. The usual feedback is that there is an issue in the area and a team is attending to it. I think this company misses the point. We are paying for a stable service and expect that to be delivered consistently. Furthermore, the impact on indidvisuals seems to be down played, which is annoying to say the least. If you want to sell a service, deliver the service, or play fair and adjust your pricing model to reflect your declining service.

Lately very BAD customer satisfaction and experience! Internet goes off around 23:00 2 nights in least then a week then all of a sudden back on around 6:30am.... oh well don't have electrical connection in the highsite and its always a battery problem! Customers are paying for a service and you never know when the wifi is going to go off with them! At 1st Tech5 was good, all of a sudden they have gone down hill and the customer service is shocking!!! A msg comes through in the morning saying the following: >> Good day We have identified that the main highsite you are connecting to was temporarily down. We can now confirm that the services have been restored and are back up. Could you please reboot your equipment and test the connection again from your side? We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience. Regards Tech 5 team Obviously its down.... been down since 23:00 the previous night!!! So many excuses and when you write on whatsapp they either dont rely or are so slow...... You guys seriously need to buck up if you want to be reliable in anyway!

"Do not use this company. Tech 5 Group hiked my fee by 37.55% (R799 to R1,099) with only 4 days' notice, a deliberate 'notice trap' to squeeze an extra month out of me. Technical performance is a joke. I’m seeing chronic IPC congestion and DNS resolution issues, YouTube takes 5 minutes to even start, a clear sign of over-contended bandwidth and a total failure to maintain peering at NAPAfrica. Management admitted they are refusing to trigger a 'Release Ownership' in the Openserve B2B portal just to dodge their own wholesale costs. They are holding my fiber line hostage and sabotaging my home business to protect their margins. They’ve breached the CPA and ISPA code of conduct. If you need a provider that actually understands networking and consumer law, look elsewhere. (Ref Ticket: #012917)"

I have been using TECH 5 through Hyperhood since 2021. I would not recommend anybody to use this fibre service. I am using 50mbps up and 50mbps down. If you check the website i should be paying R550 per month. i have been over R770 the whole of last year. They want to give the new clients cheap prices and treat old clients like ****. So basically they increase your monthly fee yearly and new clients pay different cheaper prices. You must think i am dumb . I want cancellation done immediately on my account . I am terribly upset with this price increase. You will lose all your clients.

Been a client of Tech5 for roughly 2.5 years. They claim to be the best priced ISP available, I am currently paying R860 pm for an average of 30mb down and 15mb up. This is due to a faulty Router I have been reporting since October 2025, it is now Dec 2025. I have provided, Ping tests, Signal strength tests, I have accommodated changing router settings inc changing PPPo3 to Dynamic, increasing the Htz settings, etc. They refuse to acknowledge what I am saying regarding the router being defective. The speed tests are conducted within 2 meters of the router, their solution is I must buy an extender. To extend what??? The bs subpar speeds I am getting?? Their staff do not seem to understand the technicality of the products they provide. Their simplest answer is that the client must sort it out. I have been waiting for a call from the Supervisors (one named Udane) since October. They also are unable to get a line released if you are moving into a new property that previously had a wifi connection in, meaning you will be stuck without internet until you take it upon yourself to speak to Vumatel or whoever and get the line released. Ie they wont lift a damn finger. Why I have stayed with them this long? Rather the devil you know than the devil you dont. Oh and the ONT they originally installed? Fell off the wall cause they use Pritt level super glue instead of the rated anchoring *****s. Nice. What a bunch of .......................
