Edgars and RCS are ********s they should lose their licence to operate. They pray on the vulnerable. Their system are deliberately designs to frustrate you and force to pay for services not rendered with insurance covers that are non existent. For 2 yrs I have been trying to close the account. I even overpaid the account just so there was zero owing. Instead they continued to charge me for an insurance that to date I don’t know who is covered. I lost my husband and mom, on both occasions I was sent from pillar to post until I gave up. I gave up on following up to terminate my account now my credit rating is a mess. I have called, I have been to the shops, I have emailed. No response. My last hope is ombudsman. Their debt collectors Nimble are just as bad sending me back to the same Edgars that has been fleecing me.

Edgars has the worst system ever, infact its horrible! I have tried for months to register and have access to the app but till today no one in their department is able to assist me, i get sent to different people and it seems no one knows what they are doing. I wasted my airtime calling and each time the is no solution, they keep telling mw about an IT issue, why has it been an issue for months. And what is frustrating is that i have to call in order to check my balances! Iv never been this annoyed with RCS, I suggest you think twice if ever you want to take an account with them.

I tried to get my credit on my edgars account to pay back to me since i never agree to go over to rcs. The monthly fees from rcs on a account in a credit balance is dailight *******. Where in your life are one paying for a credit amount fees? Only at Rcs..

Disgusting financial "operation" that reports clients with accounts to EXPERIAN credit bureau if they are slightly over limit on former Edgars Card. In my case, it was a high alert report on my Edgars account because I was R150 (ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY RAND) over limit. DUE might I add to completely misleading SMS messages urging customers to use up their available credit in their account - and stating an available amount - which is COMPLETELY FALSE. Don't accept the falsehoods being propagated by RCS - they are here to fleece you good and proper. Problem is, when it starts to impact negatively on my credit score is when I consider reporting them to the Ombud. AVOID Edgars accounts at all costs - and they also practice ageism.

I have sent numerous emails to Edgars Customer Care to establish why I am being charged interest. I pay more than the outstanding balance before month end each month. I get passed from pillar to post without getting a definitive answer. The only answer I get is a auto response showing various contact details.

Your handeling of accounts and the unnecessary over charging of admin fees are really ridiculous. What does it help that you have two divisions Edgars and RCS calling for the amount outstanding? Then you are also not interlinked with one another? I have sent emails that is not answer in a propper professional manner by questions just being ignored. Also, I informed in writing my situation and that payment will be made but still you guys keep on phoning and sending emails? I have requested information in 2025 and still not answered.
