Whitfield Property
Based on recent customer reviews, Whitfield Property elicits sharply divided sentiment from residents, trustees, and body corporates. Detractors consistently mention poor administrative follow-through, billing and levy disputes, unexplained interest or collection fees, and prolonged delays on insurance claims and fund transfers. A recurring theme is unresponsive communication and a lack of transparency from account managers. On the positive side, customers single out specific staff members such as Chereen, Roxanne, Daryl, and Arthur for professionalism, empathy, and going the extra mile, suggesting service quality hinges heavily on the individual handling the matter.

Giving Whitefield a single star feels too generous. I finalized a property purchase late last year, up until early March (after I called), I never received a single levy statement from them. Fast forward to March: I suddenly receive a text message about an outstanding balance. I immediately called them, only to discover they had captured the wrong email address on their system. Despite their sheer incompetence, I settled the massive accumulated bill on the spot and made sure my contact details were updated and confirmed. Three days ago, I received my latest statement. Guess what? They’ve slapped me with additional "collection fees." What exactly did this collection agency do? I am the one who had to reach out to fix their mistake and settle the account. The only note on their system is that they sent a text message—a single text that somehow cost me R759 in collection fees. Are these people serious? Absolutely abysmal administration and borderline ******ion. Proceed with caution.

I have been a resident in an estate managed by Whitfields for over 10 years, and the level of service has been consistently disappointing. There is very little transparency in how matters are handled, and when owners request information, they are often given the runaround instead of clear, direct answers. This lack of accountability has led to ongoing frustration among residents. The situation has now escalated to the point where critical issues have not been properly managed, causing significant disruption to residents. I would strongly caution any body corporate or property practitioner against appointing Whitfields as managing agents.

I am experiencing difficulty obtaining assistance regarding my utility account managed by Whitfield. I received a statement reflecting an amount due, which I paid in full and on time. Despite this, interest of approximately R34.88 was added to my account. I emailed my assigned customer service consultant, Tracy, to request clarification but did not receive a response. I followed up telephonically, where Vicki took down my details and advised that Tracy would return my call. Unfortunately, I did not receive the promised call back. I have since escalated the matter via email and attached proof of payment, but I am still awaiting feedback. The amount itself may be small, but the principle is important, especially as interest continues to accumulate while the query remains unresolved. I would appreciate assistance in reviewing the account, providing clarification for the interest charged, and correcting the account if the charge was app**** in error.

If my levy statement reflects between R5700 to R6000/per month and my bond at R11 000 then the services rendered should justify the amount I am paying. However, almost every week I have to get home to find my patio with muddy footprints from the maintenance staff and the walkways and grass areas not cleaned properly. After several referrals and appeals to the body corp and the estate manager/s the situation, to date, has not changed. We deserve better services for the exorbitant fees that we pay to live in sectional title schemes.

After a long and frustrating journey dealing with Whitfield Property management in Gauteng— being passed from pillar to post without any real progress — I finally decided to visit their Fourways offices in person. That’s when I met Chereen Collins, and what an incredible turnaround it was! Chereen not only took the time to listen to my frustration but also went the extra mile to assist me and fully resolve my issue. Her professionalism, empathy, and dedication truly restored my faith in great customer service. A huge thank you to Chereen for stepping up and delivering the kind of service that makes a real difference. WHITFIELD PROPERTY is lucky to have someone like her on their team! 👏🙌 Honestly rating the 5 star is for Chereen Collins and not the company, because their receptionist is so rude on calls and in person. The Sandridge Village account manager is also not helpful.

My experience with Whitfields has been extremely disappointing. I first submitted my insurance claim and contractor’s quote in May 2025, and despite assurances that the payout would be processed within 5–7 working days once forms were completed, I am still waiting in September 2025 — more than four months later. After repeated follow-ups, I was told the delay was due to an email being left in “drafts” — an avoidable mistake that has cost me financially. My contractor’s original quote has since expired, forcing me to cover the increased costs myself. Communication has been equally poor. My phone number was on every email I sent, yet I was repeatedly asked for it, Instead of urgency or accountability, I received casual apologies and even emojis while my claim sat unresolved. This process has been stressful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I cannot recommend Whitfields to anyone who expects proper service, accountability, or reliability.
