Zero Stars: Shocking Administration at Whitefield
Giving Whitefield a single star feels too generous. I finalized a property purchase late last year, up until early March (after I called), I never received a single levy statement from them. Fast forward to March: I suddenly receive a text message about an outstanding balance. I immediately called them, only to discover they had captured the wrong email address on their system. Despite their sheer incompetence, I settled the massive accumulated bill on the spot and made sure my contact details were updated and confirmed. Three days ago, I received my latest statement. Guess what? They’ve slapped me with additional "collection fees." What exactly did this collection agency do? I am the one who had to reach out to fix their mistake and settle the account. The only note on their system is that they sent a text message—a single text that somehow cost me R759 in collection fees. Are these people serious? Absolutely abysmal administration and borderline ******ion. Proceed with caution.

DStv (MultiChoice)

Multichoice❌
I’m quite disappointed at Multichoice. I have not used their services for almost 5 years now. I decided to reactive and was advised to pay a small R502 fee to get the services reinstated. I did not disputed the price and made a call to confirm the process. Not only did I speak to a rude agent who told me I had two subscriptions. 1. DSTV Access and 2.DSTV Premium My response was that this could not be right, and asked her what the R502 was for? She insisted that I had two services. I reiterated that I need confirmation on why and what the R502 was for! She then advised that she needed to generate a quote, however her system was down and I should call back in 5min. I called back 15 minutes later and the second agent advised that I do not have two services active! She was quite helpful and walked me through the payment process. After our call, I immediately paid the R502 (still not sure what it was for, however I needed the service reinstated) 1Hour later, the decoder is trying to do a software upgrade, however there is no movement (decoder is frozen) I call back a third time, in hope that I would get assistance. Only to be told that there is a premium deactivation pending on my account. Now how did we get here and why should I be unconvinced because agent 1 was not willing to assist or listen to my query?

Telkom Again!!!!
I am so fed up with Telkom and their Service. Why do you always have to jump through hoops to just get anything sorted with this company? I have been trying to move my wifi for a month, but have been sent from pillar to post in order to get this actioned. Since 8 am this morning, I have spoken to at least 5 consultants with none of them being able to assist. The last lady advised she will log a call and someone will call back, however, this was done last week and I am yet to receive a call. What do I do now????

Price changed overnight
I’m quite shocked at the way Cielo specials are advertised. I went online to make a few items in the evening, as I was about to checkout. The Cielo site requires me to register. I figured one day won’t **** me (took a screenshot of the items) and figured I will do it in the morning. To my surprise, the price of the items have drastically changed. How is this possible?

Just want it to work....
It has taken me at least 4 days to decide if I will write this review. Is it only me or has Telkom service gotten worse over the past years. The average time to get hold of someone at their call centre is 25 minutes if you are lucky. What makes dealing with Telkom even worse, is after it took you 25 minutes to get a hold of someone, they send you from Pillar to post. Within an hour of dealing with various individuals, you still end up with no solution to your problem. Problem 1. Not taking away that it is a great idea to be able to activate additional service online, however if your systems are not functioning, trying to sort the issue becomes an absolute nightmare. With that being said, on the 1 July 2018, I tried to link Show-max to my account ( ********** 560) online. Ensuring that I follow every step online, I get confirmation that service has been activated successfully and I should receive a voucher pin via sms. Unfortunately this was not the case and I access the line “ I did not receive my ShowMax voucher” and email asking for assistance. A day later I did not get any feedback and decided to contact Telkom for assistance on the 2 July 2018. After holding on for 30 minutes, just to hear! Sorry mam, you have come to the right place, however I am unable to activate services because our systems are down at the moment. I politely thanked the consultant and said I would call back (It was good to know that I did not have to worry about to above because an agent will be able to action my request the next time I call back) On the morning of the 3 July, I tried to activate service again via the self-help portal, but experience the same issue as before. I then called Telkom, already accepting the fact that it will take me at least 25 min to reach an agent. A Lady (unfortunately did not get her name) replied, advising that she can see an 2 allocation for the ShowMax services. I then explained my dilemma of not receiving a voucher pin. She advised that this is being managed by a different divisions and I should send an email to: ********** quoting Service ID: 19660TK ShowMax and the will be able to sort my problem. Before I accepted, I mentioned that since she can see two service allocations, I will need one to be deleted as I do not want to be charged twice. She assured me that she will log a call to get the one item removed by logging a fault with their IT team. I patiently followed her instructions and emailed the ShowMax support team, explaining for issue and quoting the Service ID is was given. My Email read as follows: Good day I am trying to add ShowMax to my Telkom account but am not receiving the voucher number as confirmed. Account number: ********** 56 Kindly activate or assist with voucher pin, Also confirm that there will not be any duplicate (won’t be charged twice due to Telkom system errors) as I only need one pin. I then get the following response: Hi Mercia, Could we kindly ask that you sign in on My Telkom account (https://apps.Telkom.co.za/alpha/public/register) to resend voucher code or get in touch with Telkom on http://www.Telkom.co.za/today/help/personal/talk-to-us-anchor/. If you are still experiencing issue, kindly provide us with the following: 1. V number from Telkom. 2. Telkom statement showing V number and ShowMax deduction. Kindly note that TK number 19660TK is not registered on our data base. Please let us know if you require further assistance. 1. The link sent does not work 2. There is no statement issued for the month as yet, so that option won’t work (making me feel that whom looked at mail, did not bother to read it) 3. The TK number as given to me by Telkom,. I then opted to log on to the personal talk, but I am sure you can understand that I am getting a bit irritated by now. I explained the same issue to Ntabiseng, just to get her to reply and ask me for a V number. Now come, really! I thanked her for effort to assist and said I will call the helpdesk once again to cancel everything. This morning (04 July 2018) I called in asking for the request be cancelled. Guess what? The first one is still pending, and was never logged for cancellation as promised by the first lady. The nice gentleman Aubrey need to find out how we can resolve, as this is being managed by a different division. Now I made it clear that I will not be as patient if I see a bill for 2 services that I can’t access, and I can appreciate Aubrey’s efforts to try and get to the bottom of this. Surely there is a huge challenge within Telkom, I do not even want to talk about my terrible network for a 20mbps unlimited contract I am receiving. I am truly speechless by this, and am sure that if we as consumers stop paying for services that does not work. Telkom will not be happy either. I cant even type Network Problem 2- Because of the ongoing network issue. My intention is definitely not to write a novel, but get the service I am paying for. T

ABSA is the worst

I opted to change my banking provider, and a friend suggested that I try ABSA. She raved that they had great banking facilities and I agreed and applied online.

To my surprise, the online application was quick and I received instant feedback on approval/document upload success and account number. The next step was to wait for a call from a consultant to activate my account.

A week later, then the nightmare began. I never received a call from anyone and decided to follow up.

Apart from waiting approximately 20 min for a call to be answered, my initial call with Nataniel just cut, which meant I had to call back (patiently waiting for another 20 min) to be assisted.

This time Palesa answered and advised that my proof of residence as well as ID did not upload successfully thus I have to resend to the creditadmin. Slightly disturbed I followed the process as she says that this will be tended to in 30 min by Nabil and I would definitely get a call back after that confirming activation of the card.

2 hours passed, I heard nothing and decided to call again and the lady (unfortunately did not get her name) who I spoke to said that this was not actioned, she verified data and sent it through.

It is clear that she pushed the team because I received notification in 30 min asking for the same info again.

I called in and was advised that my statement was not sufficient.

Now how difficult can a provider make this for an individual. The ABSA site requires any statement (which I issued) my wifi bill from Smar Village. I could not even provide my lease agreement as the evaluator is not interested.

Feeling bad for the consultant who tried her utmost best to get this done as she thought the information was ok.

I have since asked them to cancel my request as this has been a terrible experience from the start.

Disgruntled approved applicant; ********** 4961

R 10,192.56 Billing Dispute

Account number: I **********

I have been on the phone for the past two hours to get assistances with my query, havespoken to 8 different people and no one is in a position to assist with my dispute. Instead I am being pushed from call centre to call centre.

Now my issue is simple, I average a bill of R800- 1999 a month for the 4 months, but to my suprise this morning. I am sitting on a whopping R10 192.56

1. What happened to my call limit that was implemeted 4 months ago?

2. Surely Vodacom has a hight usage alert to their users.

3. I have unlimited data at home.

This bill is irregular/incorrect and I need it to be rectified.

Can someone be allocated to this query, or am I just another client Vodacom is not interested in?

I am really shocked at the quality of the call centres. Agent does not allow you to speak, because they are so fast to pass you on to the next agent who then tell you the same thing (I cant help you with your problem)
