Another great time at Ocean Basket Time Square Casino (served by Merline) and what also impressed me was the positive interactions (even when one of the dishes was incorrect, it was replaced with speed and efficiency). I would have given 5 stars but I hate the Ocean Basket App, so much so that I'm going to delete it. (How, in 2026, can Ocean Basket Marketing think this could enhance CX beats me ?)

So our experience at ocean basket trade route mall utterly disappointing. The waitress had an attitude, so did the chefs preparing the meal. Both my children had an upset stomach after eating the food which served. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant before, it is not fair to serve food that causes upset stomachs after eating. My son was already feeling nauseous while eating , he didn't even finish his meal, saying he was feeling uncomfortable, he even said the fish seemed old. There was only supposed to be a drizzle of butter sauce on the food , the food was literally soaked in the butter sauce. It is almost 10 o clock now and I can't even get medicine,as the pharmacies are all closed now,for them to feel better. My daughter didn't finish her food , brought the leftovers home . I don't think we will be visiting ocean basket again in a hurry. I am very unhappy about this.

Ocean Basket Suncoast Casino - better than best. Indrani has excellent staff who provide premium service who are warm and friendly . Lu took my order - excellent phone mannerisms and effectiveness. Keep it up.

Ocean basket at Trade route Mall charges R30 for a cold drink that is worth R 10 I mean how can you guys rob customers like that and than still use a black marker to hide the recommended price it has on the bottle.

*I thought I would reach out to you prior to posting a poor review online website. I did email the branch manager at the email address provided but got no response. 2 weeks have passed. What was supposed to be a happy birthday outing to OB was met with poor food and service. I told the store manager about the food which had excessive salt put into the batter of the prawns, calamari and fish and the food was served cold. He said it was the dry spice and there was nothing he could do. I told him that it was very salty to a point where it could not be eaten. He just looked at me and left. We were all utterly disappointed with the quality of food served at Ocean basket.

We had a very disappointing experience at this branch. Our waitress took extremely long to bring our complimentary rolls. She also failed to place our starter order. When I asked about it, she responded with “starter?” showing clear confusion. The starter then arrived only after our mains. She brought the espresso shot *cold*, without the milk that it was initially ordered with (hot milk).When my husband mentioned the issue, she returned with both hot and cold milk and asked again what type of milk he wanted. In addition, we ordered a Coke Zero but was brought a regular Coke, and my request for butter sauce on the side was also forgotten. Throughout all of this, no apology was given. Only after we requested to see the manager did she finally say “sorry, please don’t.” One of our meals consisted of 6 prawms, the kitchen includes a prawn that was basically a tiny empty shell. The restaurant was not particularly busy, and the number of mistakes made completely spoiled our lunch and the entire mood. What was meant to be a celebratory lunch turned into a very frustrating and disappointing experience!!!

I am the driver of a new staff member at ocean basket who's phone is currently inactive. When calling to find out what time his shift ends as it changed daily while he was on training. I was shouted and screamed at by an African lady when calling ocean basket Pinelands, saying that she did not employ me, If the staff member wants his shifts he should ask her. After explaining that the website states, their latest shift is at 9pm and I have a schedule to work on as its Saturday, she proceeds to shout that it's not my business and puts the phone down in my ear. If this is the negativity towards a staff members driver, I can't even begin to imagine how intolerable that toxic working environment is. The manager taking her stress out on someone calling into the branch is no way to treat a human being. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OCEAN BASKET PINELANDS. If the attitude is negative, the food is negative too. NO THANK YOU!

As a loyal customer who has celebrated birthdays at Ocean Basket for many years, I expect not only quality service and food but also timely and respectful communication when issues are raised. I kindly request a definitive update on the outcome of your investigation and what corrective steps will be taken. Continued silence risks losing the trust and loyalty of customers who have supported Ocean Basket for years.
