A recurring theme is unresponsive student support, with customers consistently mentioning ignored emails, unanswered calls, and prolonged delays in receiving completion letters, results, invoices, and refunds. Many reviewers express frustration over payment allocation issues, portal access problems, and late submission penalties tied to system errors. On a more positive note, individual staff members and lecturers occasionally receive heartfelt praise for professionalism, patience, and meaningful academic guidance during enrolment and teaching.

Disappointed with Regent Business School and limited progression opportunities available after completing an Advance Diploma in Financial Management. I was informed that a Bcom degree is required for admission into their Bcom honours programme, despite other intuitions such as Unisa accepting an Advanced Diploma in Financial Management for Honours admission. What is frustrating is that students complete these advanced qualifications expecting there to be clear academic progression routes within the same field. Instead, there seem to be very limited(one or two) finance-related Honours options available afterwards. I was advised to apply for various postgraduate diplomas and even unrelated fields such as Human Resource Management instead. This defeats the purpose of specializing in Financial Management. Institutions should ensure that qualifications they offer have meaningful and relevant pathways for further studies, especially in the same discipline

Dear Regent, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and embarrassment at today’s graduation ceremony in Johannesburg. Despite attending the event, I was informed that my certificate has been withheld due to outstanding fees. This situation has caused me significant distress, as I had prepared for this milestone and was looking forward to celebrating my achievement. I kindly request urgent clarification and assistance on how this matter can be resolved so that I may receive my certificate without further delay. Please advise me on the necessary steps to rectify this issue. Thank you for your immediate attention. Sincerely, Kelvin Williams

I am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with the level of service I have received from Regents Business School. I have been trying to register for the next semester, but the process has been unnecessarily delayed due to constant back-and-forth requests for documents. Despite my efforts to comply promptly, there has been little to no urgency or support from the institution. On 25 March, I spoke to Charlton and specifically requested an invoice so that my employer could process payment. Charlton confirmed that he would request it from the finance department. Unfortunately, I had to continuously follow up and “fight” to receive this invoice, which was only issued on 7 April. This delay has already cost me valuable time needed to keep up with the current semester’s work. Because of these ongoing delays, I requested to be registered for the next semester instead. Charlton referred me to Kuresha, but since 21 April, I have been sending emails with no response or even acknowledgment. This lack of communication is unacceptable. At this point, I am completely in the dark regarding my status on the student portal. I am concerned that Regents may later claim that I have missed assignments or tests, even though I have not been properly registered or kept informed. This entire experience has been stressful, disorganized, and highly disappointing. I urgently need this matter resolved and expect clear communication and accountability moving forward. Looking at these reviews it looks like bad service is normal to the institution and I will not accept it, I need someone higher to assist me

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Thando Sibiya, an Enrolment Specialist at Regent. I had a question about enrolment on the 11th, and I was enrolled the very same day. Despite my anxiety and numerous questions, Thando assisted me with exceptional efficiency, professionalism, and remarkable patience. I would like to give her the biggest compliment: THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this entire process as smooth as possible. I truly appreciate you.

We are not receiving our grad letters with dates and times. When emailing you get a generic email, mind you grad is in a month's time. When calling they transfer to Grad Support -that never answers. We need to put in leave, therefore one needs to know their date and slot. This has rather been a frustrating process. Student No.:12559332

I have been a student at Regent Business School since 2023. My experience during the earlier part of my studies was generally satisfactory, and the support services were reasonably responsive. Thus why not rating a "one" star. However, over the past year, particularly while trying to complete my final semester, the experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. The level of support I have received has declined significantly. Communication is inconsistent, follow-ups are poor, and there appears to be very little attention given to individual student circumstances. Instead of carefully assessing situations, responses often feel generic and rushed, with decisions made without proper evaluation. As a working student who pays significant fees, I expected a higher standard of professionalism and accountability. If this is the level of service being provided to students who are investing both financially and personally in their education, it raises serious concerns about the institution’s direction and commitment to student success. I strongly recommend that management prioritise improved training for support staff, particularly in customer service, critical thinking, and case-by-case assessment. Students deserve thoughtful, competent assistance, especially when navigating their final stages of study. Despite the challenges I experienced, I would like to sincerely acknowledge and thank the two individuals who eventually assisted me after I escalated the matter. Once I was able to reach someone with the authority to properly assess my situation, the matter was handled with professionalism and care. Their willingness to investigate thoroughly and apply sound judgement made a significant difference. I truly appreciate their support.

I cannot express the amount of regret I am filled with for having considered registering with Regent. This institution is *********** to it's core! The registration process on it's own is completely unpleasant for someone that's paid registration fees, they have zero sense of urgency! Every single person is pathetic at their job at Regent, from student advisor that registers you to the support team. As a new student you're expected to liaise with the support team with support queries, the support department will not respond to any of the queries you raise, whether it's through their [email protected] mail (regardless of the countless follow-ups you send, no one responds), their bot system on their website (it will show that an agent is online, but will not respond to you or they're contact number (their answering machine will say they will call you back, no need to be on hold, but they won't call back). Every single platform you reach out to for assistance will display the uselessness of this institution. As it is I'm dreading how much of an unpleasant this academic year will be for me with Regent if this is the beginning. All I am trying to do at this point is just access their student portal, of which the details I was asked to use aren't going through. I have no idea when the curriculum starts and when I'm writing exams with all these delays from their side. I definitely would not recommend Regent Business School to anybody unless they have money and energy to waste.
