Used a site called www.use.ai to generate a birthday card. The site said I needed to pay to generate the picture, it was not much, around ZAR10.00. What I did not see in the agreement to pay was that the site signs you up for a monthly subscription, at almost ZAR600 a month, more than twice that for a standard ChatGPT subscription. You get NO reminders before the the charge runs either, and there is no way they will return the charge, as it "is clearly stated in their terms and conditions". I wonder how many people they get this way. I wonder how many people would notice the charge going off their bank statement amongst all the other charges either. All their customer support queries relate to cancelling subscriptions and why you won't get a refund so there you go. Avoid this site, there are better and more honest options out there.
After accident, first help were there in a flash, offering assistance and phoning my insurance to get authorisation before we even know what was happening. Car was drivable so I said we don't need towing. They were loitering around the front wheel and pointed out brake fluid leak on front wheel, which was odd as wheel was undamaged. Car was towed as best not to drive with no brakes. Obviously! After querying brake damage with panel beater, they said no damage to brakes at all, and it's an old gag to squirt oil onto brakes to get the towing job. So First Help just sprayed oil onto the wheel to get a tow when none was needed. They seem better than other towing companies, but really just the same low class ********s as all the others.
Tried to cancel our alarm monitoring with ADT (it was taken over from National). We have two radios and have changed the alarm system to use only one. Now told I have to pay a "cancellation fee" because i have a 3 year contract with ADT. They did not supply the alarm at all, the alarm was put in by us years ago. The only thing they did was change the radio. So the three contact is for what? ADT prices increase annually so that is not even fixed.
Mike quoted, asked for deposit, and was quite a pain consistently asking when it would be paid. As he had done work for us before without issue, I was not overly concerned, although i did notice the bank details had changed from the last invoice. Generally National Security had been good. What I can complain about is their regular annual increases of above inflation. However, when alarm signals stopped being received by them (suspicious as they also stopped receiving my month in law's alarm at the same time), we were told we need to have the VHF radios replaced with GSM radios. Although we don't own the radio, we were charged a R172.50 fee. A technician arrived and swapped over the radio, complaining that the wiring was complicated (it worked before without issue). After he finished, the outside alarm is registered as a panic alarm and the panic sets is recorded as an intruder alarm. "It does not matter" said the tech and left. Also I have inquired numerous time why we are still charged a R383.99 annual fee, and got zero response in 5 emails.
A mystery FEE, INET/MOB FEE/FOOI came off my credit card at the beginning of September. Since then I have been passed all around ABSA, but no one can tell me what this fee is, or why it did not come off the nominated fee account (the cheque account), not will they reverse it. They just hope I'll go away. At this rate, I will go away - I will be closing what accounts remain with ABSA.
Vodacom is good enough to assign an account expecutive to corporate accounts. Unfortunately, ours, Jayson Padayachee, could not be bothered to assist us with any queries we have despite queries repeatedly sent. Finding an email address for vodacom is near impossible. How do we request a new account manager?
Time and time again sellers have to endure wining bidders not paying. There is NO repercussions for the "buyer". Bidorbuy could easily and simply require a deposit from buyers that they lose if they don't pay, but they sit on their asses doing nothing. Find another platform to sell on unless you want to wait months to sell something.

Rent was deposited late, and a debit was due to run. Had money in other accounts, here are FNB's options 1 - notify me debit order was about to run on account with insufficient funds, offer to transfer funds from another account; or 2 - run debit order putting account into overdraft, reverse debit order, charge R185 reversed debit order fee, charge for unauthorized overdraft. Which do you think they do? THe one that makes them money for doing nothing of course! Used website option to contact bankers. No response! eBucks get less and less reward each July Well done guys!
