Plumblink
Based on recent customer reviews, Plumblink is drawing significant criticism across multiple branches for inconsistent service standards and unresolved customer issues. Customers consistently mention frustrations with refund delays, unhelpful counter staff, and pricing disputes, with several recounting experiences of being sent between branches or receiving incorrect items. A recurring theme is poor after-sales support, including warranty disputes and unfulfilled delivery commitments. While isolated positive sentiment around individual staff helpfulness exists, the overwhelming tone reflects disappointment with professionalism, communication, and accountability across head office and branch operations.

On Friday the 8th I went to plumblink @ KarenPark. I had 3 items to purchase . So I first greeted the manager, she was busy on the counter, so I greeted her with enthusiasm, she was coke but I assumed she's busy. Sje then came to ask if she can help me, I told her what I was looking for, waste trap , long waste and bath tub... she argued with me saying there's nothing like a long trap. Then I had to call my plumber to ask him to explain about the king trap. When I'm done on the phone call , I send back to her and told her what the plumber swy she then told me with attitude that she referred the other guy to tell help me. (Passing me to someone to help me. This person who's now helping me takes the bath to the front next to the door , no one tells me the bath is ready and now I see he's busy doing Other things which are not related to me so I asked him are you done, he says yes. So now the Bath is left there by the door.anotger guu who works there. He's always friendly, he then helps to load the Bath to our bakkie. No one showed us handles, it also didn't cross my mind to ask or check . When we got to the house. The bath has no handles, the bath is also faulty, it has wrinkles as well. We come back to the shop. We are told the bath had handles but we can't prove it. So I had no choice but to buy handles. I'm not happy to have came back to exchange the faulty bath and to have also purchase handles separately. I'm not happy, I'm very disappointed, they spoiled my day.

Their Reference 12616 Imagine, just imagine wanting to spend your money in a shop-yes, your own money. Going onto the branch after reviewing the plumb link website, finding the item then going to a branch to purchase the item Betta Tugela drop in bath with handles white 1500x700.-with handles-with handles-with handles. Then imagine when asking if the shop has the item and receiving really poor service and a don't care attitude from-let's call her Dumisile Mhlongo-and fast forward another gentleman assists to confirm they have the item(He calls to confirm with their Redhill branch that they have the actual item in stock) - restoring my belief in good service and etiquette and I am told however it needs to be picked up at the Redhill/Glen Anil Branch. Now the item I showed Dumisile was R1550 advertised on their website. Now imagine Dumisile telling me she will give me a discount of R150. Again, guess what I am thinking, perhaps we started on the wrong foot but she is now trying to correct her bad behavior. So, I pay for my item - less R150 discount - and prepare to collect it the following day feeling not so frustrated as I just received a 10% discount. Upon collection the following morning -and this is where the fun and games start -Upon collection, I review the item prior to taking delivery and guess what to my surprise it's the wrong item and what's worse the item captured was actually lower than the price of my advertised produce which meant I didn't really receive a discount of 10% This was incredibly dishonest and really not good business practice. The names of the item i received vs the item I wanted actually have a similar name and I did not see the incorrect product on the invoice. This not only goes against good business practices but is also against the Customer protection Act and treating your clients fairly which Plumb link Overport and Dumisile clearly dent give a dam about

Plumblink down Lekkerwater road in the South Peninsula has bad service. My almost 90 year old granny asked me to take her there. We walked in, someone was busy on the register, another person busy on his laptop. No one on the floor to assist her. We walked around in circles and eventually she just walked up to the guy with the laptop and then only did he ask if he can help. She explained what she needed and he just said yes he know what she is talking about but very confused. That is when I stepped in and said you don't know what my granny is looking for because she never mentioned what it is because I am confused too. He then admitted he is also now confused. None the less, I sent him an email as he requested with pictures attached to show what my granny is looking for. Almost 24 hours later, no reply or acknowledgement to my email.

If you’re looking for professional, fast and genuinely friendly service, JHP Plumbing comes highly recommended. They handled a burst geyser for us in no time, providing before and after photos and issuing the COC on the spot. They also pointed out corroded pipes and, with the owner’s approval, fixed those immediately. Every job they’ve done for us has been top notch. Thank you, Jacques and team — your workmanship and service are consistently excellent

Shocking service by Plumblink Head Office and Finance department. Withhold rebates from Service Providers and Customers. I can only imagine how they treat their staff if this is the service they provide their customers with. I have never come across such a poorly, unorganized, unprofessional plumbing supplier. 10 years support and service means nothing.

On the 02/11/2025 I was issued quote by Peter Ramathoka which was on PCC Mmola Project which is not my company. I never read much to it but was wondering if a backroom plumbing can cost us so much. My building project was only to be in December, on the 22 I came to make a purchase and upon arrival discovered the quote was left home. I then asked Peter to check for it in my name, and he said there is none I called home to get a screenshot and whilst waiting the plumber to do installation was in the store. Peter was agitated and unfriendly with a raised tone. I requested him to make the quote in my details as I am paying for the material to be bought. He told me that it's going to cost me more. That made me wonder why because that was the same material. I requested him to do it as in me I knew had another hardware quote. He made the quote, and it was R1400.00 more as compared the previous made in the plumbers account 02/11/2025 which was R7590.56. I asked to pay as I pay using their speed point it declined R8126.74 processed via my cheque card. I tried on my credit card and then declined the transaction. I received two notification that both transactions went through both my accounts successfully Peter then said Oh! We just received message our speed points are not working. I called my banker whilst waiting by the till and my bank confirmed the transaction were successful and must ask plumb link to reverse on their speed point, but Peter continued to tell me I must wait for Reversal which to date never happened. He further advised me that his manager instructs I must not be issued material until machine is functional. I requested that all be cancelled so I go buy at another hardware then I was told I can then receive material and come back to pay. The amount taken from my account is R16252.00 double what is bought and to date my R8126. 00 is not refunded, the material is more than the 1 room with 2wall hang toilet 2 basin. The purchase invoice has items with product number cut. My suspicion is FAULTY play between my plumber and Peter which I believe is *****.

Worst service ever from Marcus. I bought an Elon heater from Plumblink, and he admitted it was a faulty first-version unit. He promised a replacement with a newer model known to work better. Later, they voided the warranty due to no COC or isolator—requirements not mentioned in the warranty docs. The unit has software issues, not physical damage. I offered to pay for repairs since I was testing it before buying 8 more units, but Marcus refused—they won’t even inspect it because it’s from a defective batch. Unacceptable. This is your product—stand by it. Sadly, many South Africans will waste money on this. Buy at your own risk
