BAD BAD BAD service for a private hospital ‼️‼️‼️‼️ I waited more than 4 hours for my daughter to be assisted after she had fallen and suffered a cut on her face. While waiting, I informed the staff that she was in pain and that the wound had started bleeding again. I was simply told that they were busy, short-staffed, and that they would attend to us when they were done. To make matters worse, 4 people skipped the line and were assisted before us. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially from a private hospital where patient care and urgency should be a priority. No parent should have to watch their child suffer while being ignored for hours.

I have a debt with Netcare Richards Bay hospital , and I have made payment arrangements with the hospital but on the 15th May 2026, I had a very bad treatment in the hospital by the Financial manager Susan, my 34 months old baby was ill and I had to take him to the hospital as I do have the medical aid the hospital admitted my kid and when I was at the emergency doctors room she (Susan) came in at the doctors room and started shouting at me and how rude I’ve been to her staff telling me about my missed payments and not wanting me to explain my issue. Mind you I was 4 days away from delivering as I was pregnant. Until the Hospital manager came and started talking to her to stop attacking me and stoping me to get medical help. Again today on the 27th May 2026, I need to consult with another doctor and when at the reception the receptionist told me they can’t assist me and I explained to her that I do have the arrangements with the hospital to pay the debt and the receptionist said she is going to consult with Susan the Finance manager and she came back with the response that Susan is saying they shouldn’t assist me to clarify I have made a promised payment on the 12th May 2026. As I’m writing here I’m sitting at the receptionist in pain as I have an operation from delivering the baby. In my view I think the hospital prioritises money first than our health.

I personally observed the following hygiene failures on the premises: • A used band aid left on the floor • An empty medication box on the floor • A blood-stained item left on the floor — a serious infection control concern In a healthcare environment, these oversights are unacceptable. Blood-contaminated materials on the floor represent a direct risk of cross-contamination and reflect a serious lapse in standard cleaning and waste disposal protocols. Beyond the cleanliness issues, the level of service I received was poor and notably slow, despite there being no emergency situation that could account for such delays. Patients deserve timely, dignified care regardless of how busy or quiet the facility is at any given time.

Poor care and no accountability in Surgical ICU 2 at Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital *Rating:* 1/5 *Review:* My experience at Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital was extremely disappointing. The overall service was slow, disorganized, and uncaring when we needed help the most. The biggest issue was in Surgical ICU 2. In my experience, the nurses there were unhelpful and slow. They were often nowhere to be found when needed, and when patients complained, it felt like they mocked the concerns instead of addressing them. Nothing seemed to get done, and we had to keep chasing for basic updates and care. Communication from the hospital overall was poor. Staff didn’t keep us updated, and we were often given conflicting answers. I also had a bad experience with Dr Dawood. In my view, he was not a good doctor and did not provide the level of care or communication I expected. My mother has been there for over a month and it is one bull**** excuse after the other. Overall, the hospital felt useless when we needed support. I would not recommend it to anyone dealing with a serious situation who needs reliable care and communication.

My experience at Netcare Lakeview was extremely disappointing and concerning. I brought my very ill daughter to the hospital seeking urgent medical assistance, only to be turned away without proper help. We were told there were no doctors available, yet no effort was made to stabilize her condition or arrange an ambulance transfer to another facility. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the reception staff, who appeared more focused on personal phone conversations than assisting sick patients. There was a complete lack of urgency, empathy, and professionalism. As a parent, it was terrifying to feel helpless while my child’s condition was being ignored. A hospital should prioritize patient care and safety above all else. Sadly, this experience did the opposite and left us feeling abandoned during a medical emergency.

NETCARE alberton - Ive been trying since February to get my claim sorted.. Im a member of the dischem plan. And they advised me that there has been no communication from netcare.. The claim was supposed to have been done the morning. Instead i was told to pay first and then claim later. Due to this Dischem does not want to pay... The lady seemed very helpful but, now i realize that she did that to make her job easier.. Much easier making some one pay .. instead of picking up the phone and making the claim . As simple as that. and it would of been paid for : below email recieved from dischem Good day I trust this email finds you well. Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Kindly note that a letter of motivation outlining the medical necessity and clinical justification for the services rendered is required. This will enable us to resubmit the claim for further review. We would appreciate it if you could forward the motivation letter at your earliest convenience. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We trust the above is in order.
