Poor care and no accountability in Surgical ICU 2 at Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital
*Rating:* 1/5 *Review:*
My experience at Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital was extremely disappointing. The overall service was slow, disorganized, and uncaring when we needed help the most.
The biggest issue was in Surgical ICU 2. In my experience, the nurses there were unhelpful and slow. They were often nowhere to be found when needed, and when patients complained, it felt like they mocked the concerns instead of addressing them. Nothing seemed to get done, and we had to keep chasing for basic updates and care.
Communication from the hospital overall was poor. Staff didn’t keep us updated, and we were often given conflicting answers.
I also had a bad experience with Dr Dawood. In my view, he was not a good doctor and did not provide the level of care or communication I expected. My mother has been there for over a month and it is one bull**** excuse after the other.
Overall, the hospital felt useless when we needed support. I would not recommend it to anyone dealing with a serious situation who needs reliable care and communication.
