Hi. I purchased frozen mix veg from nature's garden. While eating I swallowed a stem that was shaped and felt exactly like thorn. Poked my throat was very painful. I had to put my hands down my throat and was gagging and managed to get it out. This is unacceptable and rediculous. I will never purchase from them again. I prepare food for my kids and this could've happened to them. They state 62 quality checks on their products and this is the outcome. I hope they see this and monitor their workers more.

Browsing through Nature’s Garden reviews before penning this review, it’s worrying to see that if one aggregates my complaint with the other’s, Nature’s Garden has some potentially serious quality control issues. We bought and prepared a bag of Nature’s Garden Frozen Stir Fry for dinner and during the meal I discovered a hard object in my mouth. At first glance, it looked like a piece of plastic from a production machine. On closer examination it resembled a machine warning light lens. The next day I made contact with the company by the number on the packet and after discussing the problem, they finally arranged for their representative to collect both the packet along with the foreign object. I had explained to the person taking my complaint that the object discovered was a serious threat to life and limb and not a minor issue. I could easily have choked to death, broken teeth or suffered a serious medical emergency. What might have happened had I swallowed the plastic fragment, been rushed to emergency and required hospital treatment along with all the associated pain and suffering…? … Death, of course, didn’t even bear discussion! Three weeks later I received a long email explaining the technical extent of the advanced machinery they employ to prevent this very possibility occurring and the steps they go to ensure that no foreign material ends up in their products. Amongst the jargon was the admission that the object ‘might’ have eluded these stringent processes and ended up in the bag. Well, if that was meant to reassure me that Nature’s Garden were a brand I could confidently buy and that their processes, quality controls and management were beyond approach - It didn’t! I responded with a return email telling them just that. Their infra-red and x-ray assurances along with apparent highly technical elimination processes had ultimately failed. Laxness on the floor; ‘short-staffing problems’ or that the machines they boasted might have for a short time been unattended, broken, being serviced, not in operation, defective, switched off or ‘off-line’ for any reason during a production run were all possibilities that were not even mentioned. Blaming the machine, unfortunately remains a very convenient scapegoat when the human element fails! I added that their bland ‘cut-and-paste’ explanation in response to my complaint was clearly not the way to deal with a serious breach in their quality control processes. Ultimately, it exposed customers to the fatal consequences of that negligence. As it has now been over three weeks and because Nature’s Garden have ignored my concerns, I believe that one that meets basic customer satisfaction standards is not going to be forthcoming. I will therefore hope to alert the retail chain where I bought the product in the event that similar incidents arise and will post this review to warn and caution others to be wary when buying Nature’s Garden products!

I want the Company "Natures Garden" to mention on the packaging that the frozen peas are not washed. I use to just throw the peas directly into my pot or food, but noticed the other day that I have more than just peas when I used in a white sauce. Some yellow peas, some darker peas, some leaves and odd looking small sticks or whatever , can be ****s? Please, note on your packets: NOT WASHED

I have bought 20 packs of Nature's Garden frozen chips, only to find all packs containing extremely poor quality chips which I could not use. I tried their hotline with no success, and then emailed them. I received an almost instant response promising me a voucher in compensation for my inconvenience. They requested the batch number which I have sent to them. It is now already more than a month later and I have not received my voucher. To add insult to injury, Nature's Garden is now ignoring all my subsequent enquiries into this matter. They are also not responding to a post I have left on their facebook page. I do find it interesting that on their products they state: "We are so confident of our quality that we offer a money back guarantee on all our products." Poor quality, poor customer service, and broken promises! I doubt that they will even bother to respond to this review!

I bought a packet of oriental stirfry recently and was quite disappointed with the contents. The packaging had the contact details on it so I did not have to search online and was easily able to shoot off an email whilst cooking dinner. Someone from Nature's Garden responded the very next day, acknowledging my problem with comprehensive feedback and a solution (the only thing that would've improved the response is if it came from an individual person instead of "Kind regards, Nature's Garden" as it is nice to have a more personal response). So a negative experience turned positive - thank you.

I called the customer service regarding my purchase that was made at a Pick 'n Pay Florida, at Flora centre on Nov 6 2020. I did say how the product was rotten it had orange spots and other chips were grey. I am yet to be contacted about this issue

Bought a Nature's Garden 1Kg Corn, Carrots and Peas packet at Checkers. Upon opening the packet there was literally 1 and a half peaces of carrots in the whole packet. Where is your quality control I wonder? There is a reason for buying your product. Had bad experiences from other suppliers and your products were the best amongst the rest. My options to now find another supplier's product are getting slimmer. Is this the new food industry trend? Come on guys! Yes, it is Africa, but help us to have a little bit of pride left towards our products from our country..

Absolutely pathetic service from Nature's Garden. I sent an email detailing that I bought a packet of Hawaiian stir fry mix and it had no pineapple whatsoever in the entire packet. Someone from their team got back to me and apologised and told me that a voucher will be sent, I enquired about this voucher about a week ago and got absolutely no reply. This is now 3 months after I mailed them and still nothing. I am disappointed in their brand as the whole reason of purchasing the Hawaiian stir fry was for the zest of the pineapple, which they failed to include in their mix. This shows me that Nature's Garden do not care about their customers and in return I will not be purchasing their products ever again.
