Based on recent customer reviews, National Debt Advisors receives strong praise for individual consultants who guide clients through debt review with patience and clarity, while serious concerns persist around payment distribution errors, delayed clearance certificates, and post-completion bureau flag removal. The business excels at onboarding interactions but struggles with end-of-journey resolution and accountability when issues escalate beyond frontline agents.

Based on recent customer reviews, National Debt Advisors is widely praised for warm, knowledgeable consultants who guide clients through debt review with patience and clarity. Customers frequently name specific agents who made stressful financial situations feel manageable. However, a meaningful minority describe serious breakdowns around clearance certificates, post-settlement processes, unauthorised debits, and credit profile updates that create lasting financial harm.
National Debt Advisors's biggest strength, according to Hellopeter's AI analysis, is Customer Service & Professional Guidance. Consultants like Bongiwe Lalaze, Arushka, Nicita, Eddie, Kopo, Sharon, Andisiwe, Nokuzola and Zandile are repeatedly named as patient, professional and empathetic. Clients describe feeling heard, respected and walked through complex debt review steps in plain language.

I entered debt review with National Debt Advisors for debt under R15,000 after being promised it would make repayments easier and help me clear debt faster. Instead, after paying R2,200 a month for 4 months (R8,800 total), accounts that were perfectly up to date suddenly fell into arrears because creditors were receiving tiny payments while interest continued building. So now, instead of being “helped,” I’m left fixing missed payments, added interest, and damaged accounts that were never even behind to begin with. The process of leaving was also nowhere near as simple and cheerful as it was made to sound when signing up. If your debt is relatively low and still manageable, please think very carefully before entering debt review. In my experience, it created far more stress and complications than solutions.

I am extremely disappointed by the conduct of this debt counselling company. I initially app**** for debt review assistance, however, before any court order was granted, I clearly communicated my intention to withdraw from the process and requested a cancellation/withdrawal letter. Despite my request, no cancellation letter was ever provided to me. To my surprise, I recently discovered that my credit profile reflects a “Consent Order for Statutory Debt Restructuring”, even though I never signed any consent order documents authorising such action. I have since requested proof of: (i) my alleged consent, (ii) signed court/order documents, (iii) and the case details, but to date I have not been properly assisted. This situation has negatively affected my credit profile and financial reputation. Consumers deserve transparency, lawful processing, and proper communication, especially in matters as serious as debt review. I urge the company to urgently investigate this matter, provide all supporting documentation, and remove any ******** listing should they fail to provide proof of proper consent and authority.

Oh my Goodness! I have never been made to feel so naive in my life. This sorry excuse for a company claimed to be helping me control my debt when in actual fact they just debited my hard earned money along with the rest of the debits they claimed to be helping me with. I wrote a marvelous review a while back and I honestly meant every word, jsut as much as I mean evey single word now. Stay away from this company... It is all a sham, ****** and hooligans ripping people off. Now I am trying to cancel their bogus contract and they are not as quick as they were when they were busy misleading and coercing me to sign their ponsy cotract. I reiterate PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM NDA.
