I have bought a size 8 mens shoes for my son. They were delivered yesterday morning. He fit the shoes yesterday afternoon but they did not fit. I wear a size 7 and they do not even fit me. I have now logged 2 returns and stil have not received any confirmation whatsoever.

Very dissapointed with service from this kingsmead shoe store at mall@ carnival I bought 2 pairs of shoes & returned 1 the next date. They refused to credit me for the one I was going to return stating the item was on special , what difference does it make anyway. Other stores credit you with a smile , special or not Furthermore when I went the 1st day the shoe i picked had only one shoe in the box, they could not find the other they asked me to leave my number & within 30 minutes after me leaving they called me to say they found the other shoe, fortunately i was in the mall, what kind of service is this. Will never return here and will inform others to beware.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with both the service I received and the quality of a pair of heels I recently purchased from your store. At the time of purchase, I raised a clear concern with your shop advisors: my usual size (7) felt loose at the back, and the pair I was given already appeared flimsy—as though it had been previously worn. Instead of addressing these concerns professionally, I was advised to take a smaller size. I trusted this recommendation, despite feeling immediate discomfort at the toes when I left the store. I was reassured—implicitly and explicitly—that this discomfort was normal for new shoes. However, after wearing them at home, it became clear that the shoes are not only extremely uncomfortable but entirely unsuitable for my feet due to the incorrect sizing I was advised to take. When I attempted to resolve the matter, I was met with further disappointment. Upon contacting your Musgrave branch, the manager dismissed my complaint outright over the phone, stating that the shoes could not be exchanged because they had been worn. This response is unacceptable. I would not have been in this position had I not been misled by your staff in the first place. It is unreasonable and frankly unfair to hold me accountable for following the guidance of your employees—guidance which has resulted in me being left with an unwearable product. I have since tried wearing the shoes again, and the discomfort only confirms that they are not my correct size and are of poor quality. I expect Kingsmead to take responsibility for this situation. I am requesting a fair resolution, either in the form of an exchange for the correct size and acceptable quality, or a full refund. Please treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I look forward to your prompt response.

Good Day I write to share my experience of exceptional service that I experienced at the Kingsmead Shoe shop in East Rand Mall on 27 March 2026, quite late in the afternoon. This was not my first visit to the shop, and I have previously been impressed by both the service and the quality of the product offered. But this visit was worth mentioning as an unusually positive shopping experience. From the moment I entered the store, the sales lady had my confidence that she knew what she was talking about, understood everything that I was looking for in terms of style, comfort, and fit. Her guidance and suggestions were absolutely on point. Even so, at no point did I feel pressured into making a purchase. Even though I had entered the store envisioning a purchase of a particular brand (which unfortunately was not available in my size), I eventually found myself looking at a Kingsmead brand shoe. The sales lady helped me find the exact shoe that fit me best. Even though I had initially intended to take a walk through the rest of the mall to discover what other options were available, I decided that I was better off making this purchase on the spot. Furthermore, I found all of the staff I dealt with in this store very friendly and light-hearted, and it was evident that they enjoyed working with each other as a team. As I wear these shoes this morning, wearing them in, I am astounded by how comfortable they are and very happy with my purchase. It will take a lot to convince me to make my future shoe purchases at another store.

On the 7th of March 2026 I placed a lay buy at Kingsmead shoes in Gateway Mall on a Men's Gino Pauli shoe marked at R749 (original and normal price). It's a Chocolate brown shoe that Edgars and Kingsmead have at the same price for the last 3 months that I been checking. I was in no hurry to have the shoe, so I placed a Laye buy of R249 down on the 7/3/2026.On the 15th of March I went to Edgars Pavilion, and to my amazement, I saw the EXACT same shoe marked for R499.I immediately picked it up and said I am saving R250 and might as well buy this at Edgars and cancel the Laye buy at Kingsmead Gateway. Literally 8 days after I put the Laye buy. At Edgars on the 15/3/2026 when I went to pay, at the till it was actually R449.Wow, same shoe, R300 cheaper...anyways Monday, Tuesday this week was extremely busy at work and on Wednesday evening the 18/3/2026 I go to Kingsmead Gateway at 18:05pm to cancel the Laye buy and get my R249 back. Wow...they tell me I cannot get a refund and that I must continue paying for this shoe (Imagine I got the exact same shoe this weekend for R450) and only when I finish pay my R749 then I can choose another shoe of same value. Lerato of Kingsmead said its store policy, and she can do nothing about it, and I must take it up with Kingsmead shoes Head office. She said it's a 7-day cool of period from date I paid the lay buy, but that was never told or the Laye buy terms and conditions were never explained to me. Not to mention the receipt don't even have the full terms and conditions that I received, nor is it written there, from the 7th to coming back on the 18th of the same month (4 days late of their so-called refund policy), the company refuses to refund my money, that I paid cash. Basically, they are *****ing honest people's money and are not even following the Consumer Protection act. I will take this next week to the consumer council if I don't get my refund...I don't want a voucher; I don't have to wait 6 months to fight. all I ask is my refund of R249 cash....and todays date is the 20th of March......Basically 13 days ago in Total that I placed that Laye buy.

I brought to your attention regarding a recent footwear purchase.(purchased and taken back 3 days later) While the shoes show minor scuffing from being tried on for fit, I have discovered significant manufacturing defects that are unrelated to wear: Structural Issues: There are numerous loose threads throughout the construction of the shoe, compromising its durability and comfort for my daughter. Quality Control Omission: The internal insert labels are missing. Having purchased two other pairs of the same brand at the same time which do have these labels, it is clear this specific pair is a manufacturing outlier. It appears this particular pair may have bypassed your usual quality control standards. All to be told that my daughters sweaty feet had rubbed off the insole. Ive hughlughted how is that possible as she used it for a minumium of 20 minutes, whereas she has a shoe that was purchased last year and insoles are intact amd not rubbed off. I was then told that there is nothing they can do as they wont be able to resell to anlther customer..ofcourse..which person would buy a defect pair? Manager advised me should it open up in 6 months..i can bring in for a full refund or exchange..

I saw on the box it was UK 10, but EUR was now a 44 where it use to be 45. I called them and explain and with no hassle it was exchange. Great service. Wish more shops can follow them. Staff friendly and helpful. THANKS!!!!
