I called at 11:45 to enquire about a part and was assured by a sales consultant that it was available. I was told finance would send payment details, but nothing was sent. When I followed up, finance claimed they do not know the consultant I spoke to and said they would assist — I am still waiting. This level of disorganization raises serious concerns. Being asked to trust a process like this, especially when payment is involved, is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with them. This experience does not reflect well on the Chery brand at all.

I purchased a vehicle from Chery Lenasia, and my experience has been extremely disappointing from both the dealership and Chery South Africa. I was pressured to sign the contract on 31 January so the dealership could conclude the sale, despite only taking delivery of the vehicle in February. This raised immediate concerns about how the sale was handled. Since then, the service and communication have been unacceptable. I have had to continuously follow up, with little to no response from either the dealership or Chery customer services. Queries are ignored, and there is no accountability. The quality of the vehicle itself has also been poor, which is very concerning for a new purchase. Even more worrying is that the Chery Tiggo 7 has reportedly received a low safety rating in South Africa, which raises serious concerns about the safety and reliability of the vehicle I have purchased. To add to the frustration, I had to wait approximately 7 weeks to receive number plates & license disc, causing unnecessary inconvenience. This entire experience falls far below what is expected under the Consumer Protection Act, which requires goods to be of good quality and services to be delivered in a timely and fair manner. If this matter is not addressed urgently, I will escalate it to the National Consumer Commission and consider further action. I expect immediate attention, proper communication, and a resolution to both the vehicle quality concerns and the unacceptable level of service. I was also promised a "gift", but that is also a mission as nobody suddenly knows about it. If you consider buying the Chery brand, do your homework, but AT ALL COST, avoid this dealership AT ALL COST - please do not fall victim like I did!!!!

Never ever trust this dealership with your whole life, they take chances on clients because they want sales and want money in their pockets. They do not take client satisfaction into account. I went to trade in car in November 2025 for a used vehicle. I want a Kia Rio however they convinced me that I should go for a SONET which the purchase price was 240k less than a rio, okay everything went well and how they’ll settled my vehicle but I still would have a short fall. I got to discuss which bank approved and what will be instalment with their F andI NWABISA I Got there and specifically asked that I DO NOT want any extras on my account and she said unfortunately she can’t remove the three extras which is smash and grab, license and registration and admin fee. My mistake was not asking to see the whole contracts because to myself I’m thinking she did want the client asked of he, on the 8th November I went to collect, she went through the contract but not everything she then told me she added tyres and rim, scratch and sent and the tracker on the car which are for free, After collecting the car on the 8th and having to check the contract I found out there were other extras added on the account like your radio, paint protector, and the other two things which weren’t specified in the contract, there are other value added products added also the purchase price of the car is not the same anymore from 286k including shortfall to having a principle debt of 320k excluding interest because of the added extras . I called in to ask, the answer I got was she forgot to tell me and explained why she added those. There was nothing i could do because the contract was already signed which that was in their favour. A few weeks later I found out I was actually going to pay for two cars because they failed to settle my trade in and it’s debit went off, they never cared to contact me to let me know they haven’t settled car with MFC, only contacted me to tell me that they have not yet received Natis documents and the car hasn’t been transferred. I called and sent emails for proof of payment I got no response, only the sales man was trying to explain, the sales manager David wasn’t aware but they’ll have it fixed and I’ll be reimbursed. The only feedback I got from the sales man michael was he is trying to sort it out however he doesn’t know when it will be sorted. To cut the matters short if I never communicated and followed up with my previous bank I would have never knew my car wasn’t settled I was going to pay for two vehicle loans which means I gave up my car for free. If you don’t follow up no one gives you answers. Client satisfaction and experience isn’t their priority, their priority is making money for the dealership and their pockets. I HAD THE OWEST EXPERIENCE EVER AND IM NOT ENJOYING THE NEW VEHICLE I BOUGHT FROM THEM.

Sales agent Noni, sold me a Chery Tiggo 4 worth R288 000 on the 30th of September from Chery Lenasia. I had a trade in of a vehicle worth R180 000, and a short fall of R55 000. The dealership refinance the R55 000 for me, made it a part of the principle amount of vehicle. The total amount of the vehicle including the shortfall and accessories was R354 000. From R354K, there was an option for insurance of which I opted out of, as I had my own car insurance. The sales manager, Imaan, reduces the vehicle with R10 000. I made an additional deposit of R20 000. The amount to be financed was supposed to have now been R324 000. However, on the document they compiled was still R354 000. I enquired as to why was the amount not less than the R30 000 as I had made a deposit of R20 000 and R10 000. CHERY LENASIA, TOLD ME THEY MADE A MISTAKE OF NOT DEDUCTING THE AMOUNTS. Because it was month end and they were pushing sales and sales manger, Imaan, said to me they will give me a cash back of the amount that was not deducted from the principle amount. And it was only going to take 7 days. On the 3rd of October, I enquired with Noni as to when I will be getting the form to claim for the cash back and sent her proof of my banking account details. Noni sent me the indemnity form on the 8th October and I sent it back to her same say. On the 10th October, I enquired with Noni if my refund was processed, and there was no response from her. On the 14th October, I sent a follow-up up message to Noni, she informed me that her Cape Town office was handling the refund. On the 17th, I requested Noni for an update on the refund, I received a response on the 20th October, saying she's not sure why it has not been processed. 22 October, I asked Noni again for feedback, and asked her if I should maybe ask her manager Imaan about the refund. She laughed at me, as I asked her why she was ignoring my messages and after sometime, she responded to my message and said, I should enquire with her manager Imaan. On the 23rd, I enquired with Imaan regarding my refund and there was no response. On the 24th, I asked to speak to the principle dealership Camille, he said to me that he was going to investigate my matter and revert back to me. After a few hours, he did call back and apologized for the delay in processing my refund and said my documents were never submitted for refund and that I was only going to be refunded on the 28th October. I did not revert my refund as promised and since 29th October to date, I have been trying to get a hold of Camille, I've left messages for him but he's not returning any of my calls.

I am raising a complaint against Chery Lenasia, as they customer service is terrible, they sold me a new Tiggo 8 Pro Max and gave me an incorrect spare key In January. To my surprise when I went back to query the not working key on the 2nd October 2025, I found out that the key does not belong to my car and to another Client in Mpumalanga. They assured the issue will be resolved, however, To date, I am been getting the same message that Imaan, Anwar and Ebhahim will get back to who never do. Since this purchase, its been an issue after issue to a stage where I ended up reporting them to the ombudsman for another issue and I see escalations is the only language they understand.

They don’t tell their clients full information particularly when it comes to the tracking devices from tracker. I was told that their vehicle come with a tracking device and that I will not be paying anything thereafter, to my surprise only to find out that I was charged R2600 by the dealer and I was also expected to pay a monthly subscription of R199 to tracker. I then spoke to the manager by the name of Lee Fisher. She seemed to understand my query and promised to get back to with payment arrangements. To date I have not heard anything from her.

I traded-in my old vehicle at Chery Lenasia and handed over the car on the 24th January 2025 of which i explained to the sales rep that please ensure the settlement to my bank is paid on time as the debit order run has went through and they will still debit on the 27th Jan 2025. They failed settle my bank on time that the settlement offer expired and was asked for a new settlement letter of which I asked them to put it on record that they would refund my installment for Jan since they failed to pay on time. They agreed. However if I do not follow up nothing happens from their end as they have already received the payment from the bank on the new vehicle. I sent a follow up email on the 12th Feb where I put all on record of the actions that had happened just incase I need to escallate this further. I then received a request to complete a refund form (12th Feb 2025). I supp**** the documents they needed then i was told it was processed. To my suprise, two days later i am asked to supply proof that I did pay January which was provided then dead silence. I do not think Chery Lenasia cares about their client's experience or is interested in fulfilling their promises as long as they got their sales, whatever other factors promised by them to uphold are all lies. I have bought many cars before, but this process has been the worst in my life.
