Poor execution, inadequate service, and defective product. We ordered a table in November, which was explicitly promised to be delivered in time for Christmas. However, the actual delivery was significantly delayed and did not arrive until February. Throughout this waiting period, communication was extremely poor: our emails went completely unanswered, forcing us to visit the store in person just to obtain a simple update. The subsequent handling of our order was marred by a continuous chain of failures: Incorrect delivery & unfulfilled compensation: Initially, the wrong model was delivered. A R1,000 compensation voucher was offered to us, but it was never received. Frankly, looking back at how we were treated, I would not even step foot into this store ever again. Defective replacement: The replacement table was not delivered on the promised day. Furthermore, the natural wood table we finally received shows severe quality defects. Significant material flaws: Cracks and knots were not professionally treated but were instead poorly filled with mismatched foreign material. One poorly processed crack, in particular, poses a genuine risk of injury. While we understand that cracks and knots are natural characteristics of timber, we expect them to be crafted professionally, not patched up carelessly with foreign fillers. The supplier's claim that this represents "excellent quality" is completely contradicted by the reality of the product and in no way justifies the high price paid. Anyone can judge for themselves based on the pictures whether this qualifies as "excellent quality." Conclusion: The delivered goods fall entirely short of the expectations set by the order and the seller's promises. Due to the lack of communication, repeated missed deadlines, and substandard product quality, we absolutely cannot recommend this business. I will now commission a carpenter to rectify the defects, as they understand their craft.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Spitfire Furniture and would not recommend them. I ordered a leather couch and a planter box in November 2025. After four months of waiting, repeated follow-ups, and numerous unanswered emails and phone calls, the couch was finally delivered in March 2026. Communication throughout this period was almost non-existent — I constantly had to chase them for updates. Due to the excessive delays and lack of communication, the company issued me a voucher as compensation, which I used to order additional planter boxes. Unfortunately, it has now been six months, and I have not received a single planter box — neither the original one I paid for nor the ones ordered using the voucher. I can’t even describe this as poor customer service, because there is no customer service at all. Emails go unanswered, and there is no proactive communication once payment has been made. Very disappointing experience overall. I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before ordering from Spitfire Furniture.

While I received some of the items the following items are still outstanding months later: • LIBERATOR Coffee Table (locally manufactured) • Two Tomcat Armchairs (imported) The Tomcat chairs were sold with a lead time extending to February 2026. February has come and gone with no meaningful update. The coffee table is locally made — there is no justifiable reason for the continued delay. I have been following up weekly for months. Communication has been extremely poor: • Calls to sales often go unanswered • Messages are not returned within reasonable timeframes • I have been unable to reach the owner • Promised delivery dates are repeatedly missed Two weeks ago, I was assured that items were ready and delivery was imminent. That commitment was not honoured. As a customer who paid in full upfront and has been patient for months, I expected far better service. The lack of accountability, transparency, and follow-through is unacceptable. I would not recommend Spitfire Furniture to anyone

I ordered a headboard here on 4 February 2026, due by their own terms on 1 April 2026, but the joke was on me. To date I have not received anything from Spitfire Furniture and until I do I would assume they are not operating a legitimate business. When calling for an order update they don't even ask for an order number, they just try get rid of you by saying, next week then next week comes and it's next week again. I would highly recommend avoiding this business at all costs. I've started a charge back process so hopefully I'll have my money back soon.

Do not order anything from this company especially if it is not a stock item. I have been waiting over 7 months for an order and received nothing. I constantly chase them and they never call me back. I have sent numerous emails to the owner who has never responded. I requested a refund and I was refused and now they are ghosting me. I may have to go there physically as I don't know what else to do.
