I signed up for a life insurance policy with 1Life in December after agreeing to their quoted terms. The first premium was debited, and I received my policy details and contract. A month later, I was contacted and told the underwriters were querying my cholesterol. I was asked to do a test at my own expense. While I was still considering this, 1Life changed my policy to an Accidental Life Cover without my consent. This is unacceptable and feels *****ulent. The policy I agreed to was altered without approval, and the new cover carried a higher premium. Other insurers cover medical tests before quoting, yet 1Life expects customers to pay for tests after signing up. I have cancelled the policy and expect a full refund of the premium paid. I will also share this experience widely to warn others about these ********* practices.
Robyn Andrews provided exceptional VOIP service, resolving issues and ensuring understanding. Highly recommend!
A horrible experience began when I required a COC on my apartment to be completed to sell my place. The Director was happy to send someone and before I knew it they were calling my insurance to install a new geyser and issued a COC. As the new owner moved in there was a flood throughout the apartment. The director was not contactable and a new plumber was sent to send a report that nothing was up to scratch and that the COC issued was not up to standard within the industry. I tried to contact the director Shaun to gain insight on this matter and no availability. Have to now find someone new to start the process again.
Africrest advertises a apartment cleaning company called Clean Sweep (https://clean-sweep.co.za). Take note this company does not exist in proper form of existence except a website. Utilizing the website I booked a cleaning service. Not only did the person arrive over an hour later, I could not get hold of anyone using the contact details provided. I got the worker to contact the manager and after few unsuccessful attempt she finally got hold of him and his attitude was totally unsatisfactory. There was no contact after to find a solution to maintain better customer relations. After I called and had a bad experience communicating with the manager, we came to the understanding that a refund will be made. I was told that within 48 hours the money will be in my account. Over a week later and no money has been reimbursed. I have made attempts to contact the company and sadly hit a dead end. Is this company that Africrest is promoting within their premises even legit? Is this someone's relative that got the business? Please stay clear of this scam.
The Apollo Apartment (Sunninghill) This was a bad move, as fantastic as it all seems on the first view, it is far from it. Let's start with the consultants, there is no customer service. In fact, the attitude is horrific. At this point I would love to have their job as they must be earning a lot to be so dismissive to the tenants needs. They are not only lacking in being polite but also do not assist. When they do, it is as if the effort is energy draining. The apartments have leaks and there is constant construction. The walls are so thin that you hear your neighbours, this includes children running around. I have had these two issues since I have been there. People are dumping their bins in passages. Please becareful not to be caught into the trap of this place. The security is actually quite polite and helpful.
After a disappointing experience with another bed supplier, I contacted Bed world and spoke to a sales consultant called Chichi who was superb. She took be through options and stayed in contact with me through the process. When I was about to leave she organised the delivery the same day. The delivery guys were also professional. I am happy
I required a storage bed, made contact and confirmed delivery. Sadly this never got delivered and I eventually called to cancel. I would not recommend them.
Why is it when payment is needed the demand and contact is prompt, thereafter there is nothing bad poor service? So after enrolling into a qualification with Damelin Correspondence college and payment made in full, there has been no access via the student portal for the learning material and assignments required. Have tried calling and the line goes on and on, on hold. Emails are not responded to. I sadly am working and unable to go to the office in the week, of which I realized as I went to 3 campuses this weekend for assistance and no one could help and the offices are closed in the weekend. Very bad customer service. What is the point of having a contact system that does not work?
I consulted at UJ and invoiced. After months of run around to apply as a vendor and processing of invoice, sadly I am dreaming of getting paid. UJ seems to be unable to pay and I warn all vendors and future vendors to be aware of the scam.
After the passing of my dad on the 28th February, Glynnwood issued a statement for payment that showed a charge till the 1st of March 2021. There were medication that were never authorized by the medical aid and therefore not covered. We had to get a motivation from the doctor now (2 months after my dads death). Please check the charges and statement dates as Glynnwood is charging for days the person is not in fact in hospital or dead by then.
