Octogen
Based on recent customer reviews, Octogen receives sharply divided feedback shaped by the debt review journey. Customers consistently praise individual consultants who guide them compassionately through restructuring, with a recurring theme of gratitude for reduced instalments and protection from creditor harassment. However, a strong counter-narrative emerges around clearance certificates, where customers describe prolonged delays, unanswered emails, dropped calls, and unexpected fees. Many mention escalating matters to the NCR or Ombudsman after feeling abandoned post-payment, suggesting that service quality drops significantly once the active debt review phase concludes.

After Legal consultation, I have now been told that the solution is simply for me to *sign a Form 17.W (Rejection/Cancellation Form)* — a form that Octogen should have sent to me *TWO YEARS AGO* when the process was cancelled. So let me understand this: • I cancelled the process correctly • I paid the cancellation fees • I settled my debts myself • Yet my credit profile was flagged for years • And now *I must still fight for a form and a system update* just to get my life back? Why is Octogen trying to take credit for work they never did?I have now escalated the matter to the *National Credit Regulator (NCR)* because I cannot continue to suffer due to Octogen’s negligence.

I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING OCTOGEN TO THINK TWICE! I started a debt review process with them in October 2023 but cancelled within a month and settled all my debts myself. Despite this my credit record is still flagged, and getting a CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE has been a nightmare. Calls go unanswered or dropped, emails are ignored, and there is no follow-up- even after escalation. What should take days is now dragging on indefinitely, forcing me to escalate the matter to the NCR. Chrissy

I paid for my clearance certificate in February 2026. To date I await feedback, nobody responds. The flag is still shown on the NCR, they told me it will be immediately, I have email to confirm that. I need this removed asap. Don't take peoples money and then not end the job off!

The thing with Octogen, the service is poor. You will send emails, and no response. When they have to deliver, they do not, and they do not even communicate with their clients. They are frustrating the hell out of their clients. Currently, I have a situation where one of their clients which is deprived of a job offer because they do not want to issue a clearance certificate, and on top of that, they do not even communicate the reasons for that. This client will suffer economically due to the loss of such a big opportunity. Numerous emails have been sent to Octogen by NCR, which was trying to assist in this matter. Unfortunately, Octogen does not care. I hate to say this, but I am disappointed. I never expected such terrible experience.
