Meerkat Debt Review..As you on there website Call me back or call us...When you call you keep on holding for about 10 min..When you asked call me back,they sent you a message to say Goodnight on this website ..So nobody call back this is now 3 hours after leaving 3 messages to call me...

I would like to that Meerkat for assisting me with removing debt review flat on my name ,When i started the whole process i chatted with Lefa Ntsalla , he made sure i knew from the start that everything will be fine and answered all my questions ,another thanks to Fadwah Hendricks and Michelle Fortune who also assisted me and helped a lot

Meerkat does not want to pay our claims that we submit as Ezasekhaya burial society. We submitted claims starting in January 2026 until now they have not yet been paid. We were told that the scheme is behind with certain months and they even wrote and email confirming which months we owe and the exact amount. We then last week requested them to deduct the arrears we owe, offwhich they did and when we called them on Monday they confirmed that the premiums were received and they are busy assessing our claims on scheme MG0001441 and MG0001437 and it will take 48 hours for them to pay. Out of the 6 claims we were expecting for them to pay they only paid 2. We just called them now and they say our claims can not be paid on MG001437 because we are behind with arrears from January 2025. When we dispute what we say the consultant does not take into consideration what we trying to explain they just tell us that we are in arrears. Can you please intervene.

I'm not even sure what to say, but the customer service has definitely dropped. I was very happy with Meerkat until recently. I have paid off an account and after almost a month, no communication came through regarding paid up letters etc. Luckily, the bank sent me a copy of the letter. If I do not email Meerkat first, they will not say anything. Which is sad for them as their service was never this poor. Also, what had been communicated when I signed up, is totally different to what I am being told now. Makes me wonder if the current employees are trained or not. I am now considering changing from Meerkat to another company, if service is this poor now, I don't want to know how bad it will be later once everything is done. Hopefully they change because once I'm done with them, I will not be making any recommendations.

So this is my last review "I am looking at all these 5 star reviews wondering how on earth this happened. Meerkat were superb until I got my clearance certificate, then they washed their hand of me. R3000 later and I am getting no help to get my name cleared. I am not even sure they care. I tried quering this with Experian and only the debt review people can query with letters etc etc. All I get told, and quote "Meerkat have done their side and the money is non refundable". So the R3000 was to do what?? My name is not cleared with any credit agencies so was my clearance certificate even submitted?? Why did I even go through this process. I am going leave poor reviews wherever I can for Meerkat" They rep**** saying issues with some or other agency. Weeks later I go hold of them again and was told, and I quote, " Soon the flag will be lifted" This was the 24th March To date nothing. These people are nothing but money collectors with no follow up. They simply do not care, pay ypour money at your peril be cause once paid, that is where it ends

I had issues with transferring my debt review file from Vantage Debt Management to Meerkat. I had a good experience with Mitchell Fortune from the legal department. She really helped push the process and followed up with the other debt counsellor to get my file transferred. She kept me updated and checked in regularly, which made a big difference. It shows that Meerkat has people who actually go the extra mile for their clients. I am still in the process of being removed from debt review, but so far I am happy with the service. Looking forward to finally being out of debt review.

Meerkat does not even deserve the 1 star I just gave them after boasting about them some.months ago they are so slow in informing clients to the prob with the NCR its just not true. I had to phone out more than a R50 airtime to the NCR only to find out meerkat did not yet submit my stuff but they said that they did HOW CAN ANYONE TRUST THIS COMPANY?
