Vacation Hub International
Based on recent customer reviews, Vacation Hub International receives strongly polarised feedback dominated by frustration around the 10 year Loyalty Cash Back Reward. Customers consistently report that long term members are denied payouts due to missing Reliance certificates, technical clauses, or single failed debit orders, with many describing poor communication and unresolved cancellation requests. A recurring theme is dissatisfaction with holiday pricing and limited booking availability. A smaller group of members highlight helpful, knowledgeable consultants such as Jamie-Lee and Shadi who delivered efficient, personalised vacation planning support.

Never let Vacation Hub Internation holiday Club fool you when they invite you for a presentation. After being a member for 10 years, I am entitled to a cashback bonus, but they refuse to pay it out. I have to present a membership certificate, but they cannot provide me with one. It is not on my profile if I open it on the website. The contract states that you get a payment after 10 years. I never skipped 1 payment. Communication was only done through one person, there is no other way you can contest their decision. I do not recommend them at all.

I bought Super fittydent cleansing tablets from Dischem to clean and remove stains from my 2 x flexi dentures. They are absolutely uselessI had previously bought Boots denture cleaning tabs when in the UK and they worked brilliantly. But now back in SA so had to get new ones. Well, they do absolutely NOTHING iro cleaning, even if soaked overnight. Dishwashing liquid is better. So don't waste your money - they aren't exactly cheap. As a SASSA pensiioner I have to watch every cent and quite frankly am rather reluctant to try any other denture cleanser tablets, but I must. Can't leave them like this.

I am a paying member of Vacation Hub International (VHI) for 120 months, based on their explicit promise that a cash back would be paid after completion of the contract term. My claim was rejected because there was one month in which a debit order failed - mandate or administrative reason, and not because of a lack of available funds. The issue was corrected. Despite the fact that the full contract term was completed, payments were resumed and rectified and there was no material breach of contract, VHI is using this single incident to deny the entire benefit. After stating my case to them that I was not to blame for the one debit order that did not materialize, they responded by saying that the terms and conditions of the loyalty cash back was provided to me at the time of signing and that I signed and accepted these terms. Public platforms show that many other consumers have experienced the same issue, including the refusal of cash back, unreasonable requirements and technical justifications to avoid payment. This company is taking all its members for a ride. BEWARE.

Be Aware you have to CANCEL your contract after 120 months(10 Years) it does not automatically lapse after contractual 120 months. Once your 10 year membership is paid up you MUST contact Elsabe to cancel the debit order. Even though you just signed contract for a 10 year period they will keep on deducting money from your account until notified. When you ask for a refund on your debit orders after contractual date they tell you must cancel in person.

I have been a member of VHI for 8 years. I have never used their services as I found them to be more expensive than travel companies. I have been wanting to cancel my membership for a while now. When I tried to cancel a year or so ago, I was told about my "bonus" that I would lose so I stuck with them. However after still not being happy with some of the quotes given to me, I decided to cancel my membership. On 22 December 2025, I sent an email to them indicating that I want to cancel my membership. I sent another email on 29 December 2025 indicating that I did not receive any response from them and that i consider my membership as cancelled effective immediately. It is 31 December 2025 and to date i have not received an acknowledgement of my email, but on 29 December 2025, they conveniently withdrew my membership fee, again without my permission as this fee payment was to be paid on the last day of the month. I am so frustrated with the unprofessional behaviour of this company.

We had out contact started 31/7/2014 and expired 30/08/2024 I have contacted VHI in March of 2024 and spoke to Erica Bezuidenhout from VHI till recent now changed to MERIDIAN TRAVEL SERVICES to cancel the contract it was confirmed that should I cancel the contract we will loose the Loyalty Bonus -- note nothing was mentioned of a "CERTIFICATE" also note that nothing was mentioned about a letter or something to cancel the contract. At end of August 2024 I have contacted VHI and request cancellation of contract that Expired 30/08/2024 after 10 years spoke to Roslin Mack, notice this she is working for VHI, MYTRAVELUTION and now MERIDIAN TRAVEL SERVICES. I request cancellation of the contract per telecom, again nothing was communicated to me that I need to process a letter. I ask het about the Loyalty Bonus and she requested a certificate, I have confirmed that there was no certificate issued to us and never communicated, he then told us that then we are not liable to received the Loyalty Bonus and we are denied. Notice that ROSLIN MACK also part of MYTRAVELUTION owing us R 25,000 ****** from us - RIAAZ DE KLERK We signed a contract in Sept 2023 with MYTRAVELUTION and then they will takeover the VHI - we paid a dep of R 25,000.00 and then read the contract over the weekend, I have cancelled that contract on 5th Sep 2023 within the time frame of 7 days. They cancelled the contract and confirmed they will pay back all our money and till today 08/12/2025 where they at 1st said they pay back member every Friday, now they have all sorts of excuses why not paying out. After several emails in Oct 2024 between myself and ROSLIN MACK still nothing was mentioned of a letter as cancellation was done per telecom. On the 1st Dec I received an email after 16 month from ERICA BEZUIDENHOUT (VHI) said that "DESPITE PREVIOUS REMINDERS" telling us that the contract has not been cancelled as per telecom with ROSLIN MACK and that the contract has been renewed ******* and against the law with out our FULL CONCENT and we have signed NO contract to be renewed. Contract was signed for dates July 2014 - Aug 2024 (10 years). I have requested ERICA BEZUIDENHOUT since last week that I need all the "PREVIOUS REMINDERS" so was so called mailed to to forward it to me - I have not received 1x single communication from her , but I have got is a email from ERICA BEZAUIDENHOUT email this morning 08/12/2025 said that we are liable for R 5600.00 before they will cancel the contract. These people are ****mers as not on one vacation could they assist with cheaper holiday rates.

I have been a member of VHI for 10 years. In 2024, 9th year of my membership, I wanted to cancel my membership, because their packages did not work for us as it was mostly during the time we were at work. I was advised by a consultant not continue with the membership and that in 2025 it would be 10years with VHI and then I can claim a loyalty bonus that would amount to R35 000. Never did any consultant reminded me to download a certificate to be eligible to claim. In September 2025 I asked for the process to be able to claim the bonus. I was only advised to wait until the October instalment was deducted and then I could submit the claim. Once again, no reminder to download the certificate as a caring business would do.After the 25 October I asked for guidance to submit the claim, and the certificate was mentioned and requested by admin before the claim can be processed. I could not download this certificate and was told that it was removed from my profile because I did not download it within the period of 120 months [10years] and that I had to read the contract. Surely, I read the contract 10 years ago when we first joined. I did not read it afterwards. I honestly feel for a customer of ten years, that at least someone had to remind me to make sure to download this certificate. After several communications, surely reminding me to download this certificate would have been the honest and caring way customers should be treated. If it was a year after the 120 months to submit the claim, I would have understood. It was a only a couple of days. I feel totally let down and cheated by this company. If there are anyone out there with a similar experience, I would like to hear from you. Thank you.

On 5 July 2019 I bought membership at VHI after attending their presentation at SAFARI Nursery In Pretoria. The details of the amount that I paid, as per signed contract was as follows: Activation Fee: R 30 000.00 Document Fee: R 499.00 Reliance Benefit Contribution: R 5 820.00 Because I paid everything at once, I was given discount and I was also told that I will not pay any other fees such as the "Monthly Service Fee Payments" due to the fact that I paid in full. For this reason the "Monthly Service Fee Payments was marked as N/A in Schedules 2 & 6 of the contract I signed. In June 2021 I received notification from, VHI that I'm in arrears wrt membership fees. I then immediately addressed it by providing VHI with a copy of the signed contract and the reason why I don't owe them any membership fees. After VHI inter-departmental investigation, it was confirmed by VHI as follows on 9 June 2021: " Thank you for taking my call just now. I sincerely apologise for the below matter. Please take note that your membership have been activated and your membership is paid in full as per your membership agreement." "Your membership is and was not in arrears with us. Our system has been updated as per the agreement that was amended for you." I still have the correspondence between myself & VHI wrt this unpleasant matter. On 20 October 2025 I received an SMS from VHI Collections department indicating to me that I'm in arrears wrt my VHI Membership for an mount of R 39,722.18 and I need to pay this amount into their FNB account and sent them the "Proof of Payment", I once again, e-mailed VHI, specifically the Collections department, explaining the detail of the contract which was signed by VHI and myself. I also forwarded them all the previous e-mail correspondence as well as yet again, provided them with a copy of the signed contract. This was all done on 21 & 22 October 2025. On 23 October VHI Collections confirmed receipt of my e-mail as follows: "Dear Mr. Van Rooyen Thank you for your email to our office and the contents has been noted. We are busy investigating the matter and will revert back to you soonest." I responded by indicating to them that I don't know what is to be investigated as I've already explained everything to them and supp******** them with all of the necessary correspondence and contract to proof to them that they are wrong. Since then I've communicated to them without ANY response. On 5 November I wrote the following -mail to VHI: "Good day, Trail mail and ALL the mails which were send back and forth between myself and VHI refers. (which were send again after I was informed via SMS to pay arrears) refers. As proven already, wrt the membership fees, whereby VHI already confirmed that I was indeed correct, referring to the signed contract, in JUNE 2021 and that I don't owe VHI ANYTHING, I want to state the following. It's very interesting that after FOUR years, VHI tries the same trick with me again, after this issue was already resolved in June 2021. It is VERY VERY STRANGE that out of the blue, after 4 years, suddenly VHI tells me I'm in arrears. The kind of service rendered by VHI is, to say the least, pathetic. I will NEVER recmmend VHI to anyone. I'm fed-up with this. VHI don't even have the decency, to respond to my e-mails and they were the onces who issued an sms which put my blood pressure through the roof. I had to waist my time going through all my records again just to proof my point again, as I did in June 2021 already. For this reason I DEMAND cancellation of my membership with immediate affect. I also need confirmation that it was executed and confirmation that membership is terminated. If do have the right to cancel my contract with VHI and I"m using it now." Up to this date, VHI did not respond to my e-mail. The public should be made aware of this kind of service delivery from VHI.
