Case 28244513. I have been struggling to get a confirmation of account document stamped for work. I phoned two days ago explaining the urgency. Then again yesterday and again today. How difficult is it to print, stamp and send a document back? They promised to attend to it but did not. Discovery bank ignores its customers. The banker who answered the phone today, sounded like he does not want to be at work and disconnected the call. So what should I do? I think its best to go to Capitec bank and get a document. At least HR wont have a challenge with that. So much for good service and innovative banking. Seems everything Discovery is going for a loop. Time for change it seems
Correspondence with SU is constantly ignored. You cannot have issues addressed by phoning or emailing the university. Is this exclusive, elite university really this bad at communication and administration? It does not help to contact SU. Discovery flexicare, does not care. They have only two Dr's on their system in Bela Bela, the one's phone does not even work. Their representative today, "Brian Clarke Discovery Health On behalf of Flexicare" sent me a email not addressing any of the issues. Now my mother cannot get her heart medication. Discovery does not care at all...phoned them only to get a "its the patients problem" reply. I am looking forward to the NHI
Anderson Street CashConverters sells ****** property. A case opened with SAPS and they were informed. I emailed them and they confirmed that they had the violin. I am still waiting for SAPS and today a member of the public informed me that they bought it from ANderson Street Johannesburg CashConverters. I have the emails from Cash Converters, case number and other information available. It seems they are well located and used to these issues. Is this legal and ethical business? My lived experience of staying at La Rez has been a deeply disappointing experience. The treatment from the office staff is patronizing, you are treated and handled like a child and is reminiscent of boarding school rather than adult renting. The constant noise pollution—from traffic, sirens (fire department just down the road), and disruptive neighbors—is relentless and severely impacts sleep quality. Fighting and shouting in the street will keep you up. My unit was in a deplorable state upon move-in. Dirty walls, a ton of ****roaches, a malfunctioning door, a leaky basin, and a persistent foul odor from the bathroom plumbing were just the beginning. The building's poor construction led to water leaks and black mold that ruined my belongings. To prevent further damage, I was forced to leave cupboards open, risking contamination of my groceries. Despite these issues, the property management failed to address the wall damage, water leaks, or the significant health risks posed by the mold. To add insult to injury, I was unexpectedly presented with a "deep cleaning invoice" at the end of the lease term. This additional charge, not outlined in the original contract, was justified by management as a standard practice for all students. "We have to take some of your deposit hahaha." The last way to boost themselves from your pocket. If you are experiencing similar or identical problems, I urge you to exercise your rights and contact the Housing Tribunal and SRC to raise awareness about the unacceptable conditions at La Rez.
