The store as of the 3rd of December told all staff that the camera shop called KAMERAZ is out of business. They claim to have gone into voluntary liquidation but none of the staff have received any evidence to this effect and the CCMA appear to not have been informed. The have not given any official notice to the staff who were told to attend an announcement on the 3rd of December. In this meeting they were told that the business was closed and not to come back. To date they have not given any formal notice to any of the staff. The staff were told not to tell any clients or creditors that the business was closed. The whole situation is very under handed AND VERY SUSPICIOUS.

My experience with them is bad, I find them consistently rude, arrogant and unhelpful. I am not a professional photographer. I am looking for underwater accessories for frequently used camera brands. I have contacted them 2-or-so years ago for accessories and had the same rude unhelpful response. By now I am so ****ed off that I actually go through the process of registering and writing a bad review😡!!!

I bought a camera a month ago that had a broken card reader. I took it to store and Richard and Samu assisted me to rectify the issue. Yesterday I was called to collect the camera. I am happy with the amazing professionalism by the staff. Now I can access the camera for the first time.

On the 18 MARCH 2022 I bought a faulty second hand Sony A7Rii Camera which was on sale. I checked the camera focus and left the shop had already closed the time the transaction was processed. The following day I wanted to the check my baby (camera) To my dismay I was hit with a shock tha sd card I had didn't fit after gently insert. I immediately called the shop and spoke to Samu and I asked which card does the camera use. She informed me that it uses SD card. I informed her it only goes half way and ask her to check maybe there is another card type it uses. I immediately put the camera in the box as the unit is in an immaculate state. Due to the nature of my and being very far from Rosebank I couldn't go back to shop. However I was confident it is a small thing. Today 1st April 2022 I called the same Lady Samu and informed her that I managed to get time off at work and I am on my way. I went to Kameraz with the camera I and informed her that the camera bought has been in the case since. She took the camera to be checked after she tried all types of SD cards. It was very painful when she came to inform me that camera I had just bought a week ago was faulty. However, Richard the owner came to assist me and booked it in. I am patiently waiting feedback. Kameraz is my preffered camera store due the quality of the equipment they sell.

Changed my mind to terrible service. Phoned on Thursday the 20th January, looking for a Silver Fuji XT4- none in stock> I spoke to Fuji myself and found out that have in stock and that KAMERAZ must just place an order and it will arrive the next day (Friday). Phone back and spoke to Samu, who indicated they will do so and phone me on Friday when it arrives. Friday comes and goes, nothing. Saturday around 9am i phone and speak to Samu, she says it hasn't arrived yet maybe later, she phones me later and tells me nothing yet so probably Monday but she will phone me on Monday. Monday comes and goes. I get a phone call on Tuesday that my Fuji XT4 is in store, i let Samu know that my car is in for repairs and might only get it on Thursday ( I only got it on Friday at 5pm). On Saturday the 29th January, i phone Samu and let her know that i will be in the store within the next hour to collect my Fuji XT4. She said not a problem she will see me soon and will get the camera ready. 20 minutes later she phones me tell me that MY CAMERA ( that was specially ordered for me) has been sold by some 1 else in the shop. So I told Samu that you will no longer get my business, said thanks and good bye and put the phone down. I'm not sure who the idiot was that decided that i didn't need that camera any more and sold it to some 1 else. Not sure if it was marked with my name on it , which it clearly should have been. Iv supported Kameraz for many years now and that will now change. I was suppose to buy 2 lenses including the XT4 ( even though it was more expensive than other shops, i still decided to go ahead as i know the shop and have supported them my whole photography career, as well as an old second hand camera. That day you lost money from me, so i ended up going to a CAMERA LAND where i got it cheaper and with out any hassles.

Ordered a camera battery from them and it arrived within two days. Very good customer service when I was trying to see if they had stock before placing an order. I’ll will definitely order from them in future as well.
