Heritage Auto sold our bakkie on our behalf. Heritage Auto arranged the buyer's financing and the bank paid the money out into their bank account. Stuart, owner of Heritage Auto is supposed to pay us our agreed amount of money, but after many calls, text messages and promises we haven't received a cent yet. The money is now due more than a month. He also does not respond to new text messages or calls. The lawyer confirmed that it is fraud!

i have purchased a Chev Bakkie from Heritage Auto and i have tried to be patient with them. its been three months now and the issue of the vehicle still has not been sorted. Therefore i requested either for them to cancel the deal or to purchase something else by them or cancel the deal completely. they have sent the attached settlement letter to Nedbank. Herewith the information since purchasing the vehicle: 8th March Day of purchasing. 12th sent back for minor fix ups. 25th march received number plates. 8th April Bakkie was sent away for a new head. 10th May I received the Bakkie back. 18th May was then sent away again for the crank shaft and the turbo. (Apparently their report is saying we damaged the turbo but only after 8 days getting it back) 18th May I still dont have the Bakkie. i have to communicate with the mechanic as they dont communicate with us regarding the status of the bakkie. The owner also told my husband that the vehicle is fixed but according to the mechanic at the time it wasn't fixed. My husband and myself had endless problems and its cost me a great deal in fact im paying installments on a vehicle I don't have in my possession. We sent two emails onto the dealer but no response and cannot get hold of the owner. its shocking how they running a business but i have left it in Ombudsman as well as Nedbank hands.

I recently purchased a second hand vehicle from this dealership on 2019/01/07. I was told that it is in perfect condition and I would never find a car as good as this one. 4 days later the clutch broke completely and when returned to the dealership they accused me of abusive driving "this is what the specialist told them" and said I would be responsible for repairing it and the warranty won't cover. I refused to pay as I hardly drove the car. After a battle with them they repaired it without notifying me up till I called multiple times about the defected part. Repair was done but the engine light appeared, been instructed by the dealership to return it to the mechanical shop fit rite in Brackenfell. The mechanical shop tried to clear the error codes without repairing the sensor they have broken and I told them they need to repair it not just clear it. Not happy with this they became annoyed, then threatened me by saying I would get hurt. It is now 3 weeks that I have this car and so many defects are being detected as I drive. I hardly drive it since it is in the current state but hey I need to mobile and I was told the car is perfect. I've lodged a complaint at Wesbank which the dealership has responded with many lies, then threatening if I continue with complaints and my behavior their lawyers will see to me. I tried to cancel the contract as I informed wesbank within the cooling off period that I want to cancel. Unfortunately I had to wait for wesbank to do this investigation and surprisingly all that is said to me is to lodge a complaint with the ombudsmen and that I can't cancel. So what now? Then I read up on hellopeter and see the poor service that Wesbank delivers, Shocking. I'm literally going through hell with these guys right now. They are extremely rude and have no way of dealing with a client. They lie to you, you point out the lie then they threaten you. They will sell you garbage and try to bamboozle you with stories and lies to cover themselves so much so that their hopes are for you to give up and settle for what you've been given. This is my first review of poor service as this is the first car I'm financing and damn it's scary. I'm sure there is many out there with similar experiences so this is my 2 cents. Please be careful when going into a long term payment such as a car and defnitely stay away from heritage auto. Do your research and always have an independent mechanic to inspect the vehicle before purchase. Good luck!

On 8 August 2017 I purchased a Volkswagen Polo GP1.2 TSI Highline motor vehicle. I was made aware by the sales representative that I would be purchasing the aforementioned vehicle which was never disclosed to have been involved in an accident before. Under the 'TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE' document with Heritage Auto, under clause 3 - ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURE AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS REGARDING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS, no disclosure was made mention of/ or noted as required. Further I attended to service this motor vehicle at Volkswagen Tableview on 23 February 2018 and was informed by the Master Sales Manager that the vehicle was previously involved in a collision; and to my dismay it further became known that the aforementioned vehicle was not a Highline model and was a Comfortline model. I took the vehicle for a vehicle inspection at Nicol Coachworks on the 5 March 2018 and their assessment was that of Volkswagen Tableview. Due to the gross negligence and/or malicious dishonesty of the Dealer, I was defrauded whereby I was sold a motor vehicle under false pretences. In accordance with No.68 of 2008: Consumer Protection Act, 2008 the Dealer (W2JK Auto CC, Reg. No. Z ********** 80019, trading as Heritage Auto) failed to act within the conditions of the act with regards to a number conditions as set out in the act. I lodged a complaint with the Motor Industry Ombudsman South Africa and received a case number dated 28 March 2018. Regrettably this process has been very slow and frustrating. The communication from the Ombudsman's office hasn't been forthcoming as well which is disappointing, however remain optimistic. Heritage Auto is situated in Brackenfell, Brackenfell Blvd & Old Paarl Road intersection. This is probably one of many dealers I'd urge anyone looking to purchase a vehicle to stay as far as possible from. The after sale service is horrible and one really can't help but wonder who is protecting us as consumers from even walking into such establishments. They shouldn't be operating to begin with when they employ such unethical business practices.
