Delta Coaches
Based on recent customer reviews, Delta Coaches is failing customers across nearly every dimension of the travel experience. Passengers describe chronic delays, broken-down buses, dirty and overloaded coaches, rude staff, lost parcels, and refunds that never materialise. Communication during disruptions is largely absent, and complaint channels appear unresponsive. The pattern is consistent across routes between Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, East London, Mthatha and Queenstown.

Bus had to wait at some garage on my way to Capetown from Johannesburg because drivers were not given petrol card with credit. Real what kind of a company that gives drivers bus without petrol card. We had to wait for over an hour at some garage , while we were still about 3hours before we arrive. According to the bookings arrival time was 11h30 but we arrive 4 hours late 15h00. Worst bus to use ever. Also for such long hours the bus didn't have a toilet. And it was also dirty. Worst experience ever

My little sister came for funeral this past weekend and booked return ticket from Cape town to East London, she was supposed to return today but bus never showed up at East London station, they were put in a greyhound bus that is going to joburg and advised they would be dropped off Queenstown and picked up by their Delta coaches bus from there and make their trip to Cape town, however her and 20 other passengers are stranded in Queenstown shell garage with no hope or communication, instead one of the Delta mechanics advised them that the only bus going to Cape town had already left earlier and was full and there wont be any other, he tried calling to assist but did not get anywhere and ended up leaving, im writing this with a sore heart as there is no care at all as theu have been stranded at the garage for more than 2 hours now and should she arrange a place to sleep and bus comes and leaves her she will struggle to get refund as is, even though fault is on the companies side... No arrangements or communication, they were just picked up from East london amd dropped of in Queenstown.

Arguably one of the worst experiences of my life. That says a lot. On April 25th 2026 in Queenstown, one of their buses broke down and all they did was to hire a drunkard of a mechanic. According to sources, there was another mechanic in the area in which they could call anytime to fix what’s broken, but unfortunately, they don’t pay him at all. That’s just ****ed up on its own. But genuinely speaking, one of the worst experiences of my life. My money was not refunded by the way

I booked a Delta bus that was going to depart from Cape Town to East London on the 2nd of April 2026 and arrive in East London on the 3rd. It broke down in Worcester and they failed to send another bus we slept there and I hitch hiked to East London the following day. I wanted a refund instead they sent me a voucher equivalent to the R650 that I paid for the original trip, the bus was supposed to leave East London on the 18th but it was cancelled and I was forced to leave on the 19th. At the time time the trip costed R400 not R650 and now I am demanding the difference to be paid back to me but they are ignoring my emails. The reference number for the voucher is - DCAOLEO1.

Worst bus line ever. Not only do they not stick to the time schedule when one goes to the offices in Midrand to enquire the staff have an attitude in fact the girl sitting there did not bother looking up from her phone to address my query. Further the bus does not come all the way. They take the people out and make them wait a further unstipulated time period for a taxi. I would not recommend this bus line

Yesterday I booked a ticket with Delta Coaches for my little brother to travel from Cape Town to Johannesburg after already being let down by another bus company. The bus was scheduled to leave Cape Town at 4:10 PM. My brother arrived at the station early and had been waiting there since 2 PM. At 4:10 PM, with no bus in sight and no communication from the company, I had to call customer service myself. The agent initially told me there were no delays she was aware of, but said she would check. A few minutes later she called back and informed me that the bus had actually been moved to 6 PM. My concern is this: why was there no communication sent to passengers about the schedule change? My brother had already been sitting at the station for hours. It’s unfair to leave paying customers stranded without updates and only inform them when they call to ask. Transport companies should respect passengers’ time and ensure clear and proactive communication when schedules change. Very disappointing experience.
