Curro
Based on recent customer reviews, Curro receives strongly polarised feedback across its campuses. A recurring theme among dissatisfied parents centres on perceived prioritisation of profit over education, unresolved finance and billing disputes, aggressive debt collection through attorneys, and poor communication from school management. Serious concerns about child safety, bullying, and accountability also surface repeatedly. On the positive side, customers consistently mention warm reception staff, nurturing teachers at select campuses such as Waterfall, Hazeldean Grade R, and Clayville, and compassionate client service consultants who handle queries with empathy and professionalism.

School Management, I would like to formally raise a complaint regarding the repeated loss of my child’s school jerseys at Curro Pretoria. This is now the second jersey that has gone missing shortly after purchase. Both jerseys were still new and disappeared within the first few weeks of being worn to school. Each jersey costs approximately R700, and it is becoming financially difficult to continuously replace items that are getting lost at school without any accountability. What is most concerning is the lack of urgency and assistance from the staff. When I enquire, I am referred from one teacher to another. The class teacher says the aftercare teacher will check, the aftercare teacher says they never saw the jersey, and parents are asked in the group with no positive outcome. The matter then seems to end there without proper follow-up or investigation. As a parent, I feel that this issue is not being treated seriously enough. School uniforms do not simply vanish repeatedly without concern. I believe more effort should be made to monitor lost items, investigate incidents properly, and ensure accountability within the school environment. I kindly request that management address this matter urgently and advise what measures will be put in place to prevent similar incidents from happening again because I want my child school jersey it’s winter now. She needs that jersey Kind regards

Curro Soshanguve is the worst managed private school I've ever encountered. Some government schools are even better than this. The school released Term 1 tests timetables 2 days before the tests started. Now they haven't even released the June exam timetable and we're already mid May. There are no parents meetings to voice out our frustrations, no meetings at the start of the new term to discuss Term 1 performance. Their communication is just not professional and for the amount of money we are paying this is just the worst.

The education offered at Curro New Road is simply not worth the high fees. It feels like the school prioritises money above everything else, with little genuine concern for learners or parents once you are enrolled. Raising concerns is extremely frustrating. Emails often go unanswered—even when the principal is included—which shows a lack of accountability and respect. Communication overall is poor, and it makes resolving even simple issues unnecessarily difficult. The attitude from staff is also disappointing. Interactions with teachers, finance, and reception have been consistently negative, with a level of unprofessionalism that is surprising for a school of this reputation. Enrolling my son here is something I deeply regret. At this point, I am just looking forward to cutting ties with the school for my own peace of mind.

I am posting this to warn parents and the public about the systemic failures and increasingly hostile environment at Curro Aurora. Since January 2026, my attempts to resolve legal and safety concerns have been met with dismissal and aggressive actions that have put children at risk. 1. Violation of Enrollment Contracts and Court Orders: The school has been in possession of a valid court order regarding my son since January. Furthermore, according to the school’s own enrollment forms, only the mother and father are authorized to collect the child. Despite these legal and contractual restrictions, Curro Aurora consistently permits the grandparents to collect my son without my authorization. By doing so, the school is in direct breach of its own signed agreements and documented safety protocols. 2. Hostility During Withdrawal and Defying Police Advice (19 March): On the morning of 19 March, I attempted to withdraw my son from the school. Instead of a professional administrative process, staff escalated the situation to the point where I and my two children were chased off the property. I immediately went to the police station for guidance. Following the police's advice, I returned my son to school to ensure continuity. However, upon our arrival, the school security—acting on direct instructions from management—locked my child out of the premises at the same gate we used every day. Locking a minor out of school is a staggering failure in the duty of care. 3. Massive POPIA Breach (Private Data Leak): In a display of gross administrative incompetence, the school sent the private academic and personal reports of 21 other students to myself and a third parties This is a severe violation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). 4. Selective Policy Enforcement: My child is being targeted with letters regarding attendance, while classroom data provided by the school shows other students with significantly higher absence rates who face no such scrutiny. 5. Recorded Conduct: I have full recordings of meetings where staff were dismissive and refused to acknowledge documented legal rights, instead offering a rehe****d "word of advice" script to avoid accountability. Curro Aurora is failing in its most basic responsibilities: to keep children safe, to protect sensitive data, and to respect the law and their own contracts.

Subject advisors are not professional. I would like to raise a concern regarding the recent classroom observation conducted at the Curro school. The report written about the Mathematics teacher was extremely negative and, in my opinion, did not reflect the reality of the teacher’s work or commitment. This teacher works very hard to support the learners and consistently puts significant effort into preparing lessons and assisting the class. The available evidence of the teacher’s dedication and the learners’ progress does not align with the conclusions drawn in the report. Observing a teacher for a single lesson does not always provide a complete or fair picture of the daily work, preparation, and support that take place over time in a classroom. Professional feedback should aim to support and develop teachers, not discourage them. I believe that advisory visits should be constructive, balanced, and acknowledge both strengths and areas for improvement. Teachers should feel supported and respected in the process. I hope that future evaluations will consider a broader view of the teacher’s work and contributions to the learners and the school.

Title: Delayed Refund After Matric – Waiting Over 2 Months I attended this school from 2023 and matriculated in 2025. My school fees were paid through a trust fund during this time. After completing matric, I received a statement reflecting that I am owed a refund. I informed the school that the trust fund account had been closed and provided written confirmation of the closure. The school then requested my personal beneficiary banking details, which I submitted as instructed. I was told the details were sent to the Head of Finance and Head of Office and that I should wait 7 days for the refund to be processed. It has now been over two months, and I have still not received my refund or any proper explanation for the delay. All required documentation was submitted on time, and I have been patient throughout this process. However, the lack of communication and delay in payment is extremely disappointing. I am requesting urgent assistance in resolving this matter and receiving the refund owed to me.
