I am posting this to warn parents and the public about the systemic failures and increasingly hostile environment at Curro Aurora. Since January 2026, my attempts to resolve legal and safety concerns have been met with dismissal and aggressive actions that have put children at risk.
1. Violation of Enrollment Contracts and Court Orders:
The school has been in possession of a valid court order regarding my son since January. Furthermore, according to the school’s own enrollment forms, only the mother and father are authorized to collect the child. Despite these legal and contractual restrictions, Curro Aurora consistently permits the grandparents to collect my son without my authorization. By doing so, the school is in direct breach of its own signed agreements and documented safety protocols.
2. Hostility During Withdrawal and Defying Police Advice (19 March):
On the morning of 19 March, I attempted to withdraw my son from the school. Instead of a professional administrative process, staff escalated the situation to the point where I and my two children were chased off the property. I immediately went to the police station for guidance. Following the police's advice, I returned my son to school to ensure continuity. However, upon our arrival, the school security—acting on direct instructions from management—locked my child out of the premises at the same gate we used every day. Locking a minor out of school is a staggering failure in the duty of care.
3. Massive POPIA Breach (Private Data Leak):
In a display of gross administrative incompetence, the school sent the private academic and personal reports of 21 other students to myself and a third parties This is a severe violation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
4. Selective Policy Enforcement:
My child is being targeted with letters regarding attendance, while classroom data provided by the school shows other students with significantly higher absence rates who face no such scrutiny.
5. Recorded Conduct:
I have full recordings of meetings where staff were dismissive and refused to acknowledge documented legal rights, instead offering a rehe****d "word of advice" script to avoid accountability.
Curro Aurora is failing in its most basic responsibilities: to keep children safe, to protect sensitive data, and to respect the law and their own contracts.
