I am extremely frustrated with the lack of resolution from both MTN and VeriCred regarding my account. My MTN account was handed over to VeriCred in 2024. However, when I contacted VeriCred to settle the account, they confirmed that they did not have any record of it. I then went directly to an MTN branch and paid the full outstanding balance of R24,500 about three weeks ago. Since last week, I have been requesting a paid-up (settlement) letter from MTN. Each time I contact them, I have to re-explain the entire situation because their system still shows the account as “handed over.” Yesterday, I was told that my request for a paid-up letter was never processed, and I must now wait an additional 7 working days. This is unacceptable. I have fully settled my account, yet: - The account status has not been updated - The “handed over to collections” flag is still active - I am unable to obtain a paid-up letter without repeated follow-ups This matter needs urgent attention. I request that MTN: - Update my account to “paid in full” - Remove the collections status - Issue my paid-up letter without further delay VeriCred, please also confirm that you do not have this account on your system. I expect this to be resolved urgently without any further inconvenience.

To whom it may concern I need assistance I had called a few minutes ago to query something. Initially I received a call and I had stated I would settle the account I reverted back to the person paying the account as much as I was the one who went to ukzn but my mother(pensioner) is paying. So needed to find out if they can be maybe a discount cause she was paying from 15k it’s now around 2k. I never got the opportunity to ask because of the rude consultant who answered my call and worse I had called with my airtime yet the guy who picked up said ay lady don’t tell me that cause I’m asking u what must we help u with cause u made a promise it says here! My response was you have taken my ID no I have not yet stated why I am calling! It’s very embarrassing how that consultant has conducted himself, maybe do better in people you hiring. I would like a call back to discuss way forward maybe with someone who has not had a bad day, cause it seemed I was inconveniencing him by calling! Kind regards Minenhle

I had a very disappointing experience with Vericred. They contacted me regarding an alleged shortfall on behalf of Dr Manfred Swanepoel, which had already been settled. I paid Dr Swanepoel in full in June 2025. Despite this, Vericred pursued me again in March 2026 for a debt that had already been paid. To make matters worse, the amount they were claiming was almost double what was originally due. This kind of conduct is both frustrating and concerning. Proper due diligence should be conducted before attempting to collect on accounts, especially where payment has already been made. I would strongly caution others to keep thorough records and to verify any claims made by this company before making payment

Very poor service. They can not see that a account is older that 3 years. If you want more details. E-mail me. And also no e-mail to communicate with them. No e- mail on the account paper of them, what they sent you. Pathetic service. Doing some Dr's accounts. And can not even tell you when the account was for. So if you get a account from them. Please do your research. And they do not answer their phone also. So please be very care full.

This people send me a letter that i owed lancet R1530 and i must pay it within 28 day, which i did currently they are sending me letters to settle another 227.53. I asked them for what, since I settled within the stipulated time frame, they didn't answer me, they kept on sending me to different people within the department, now they send me another letter that I owe them. I don't owe them since the amount they demanded was fully paid within the 28 days that they mentioned this is ****ing me off.

I have a complaint regarding vericred. This company has no compassion for the elderly pensioner. My mums lancet account was handed over to vericred. Vericred has been adding amounts on the account every time they called and sent an sms and email. The account from R625 went up to +- R1050. My mum is unable to check emails. And to do payments. I explained to them that I was not around and my mum only told me about this recently. I explained that my mum is not in a position to afford to pay the extra charges, etc...... as she relies on her pension and small income from rent that she uses for her medication and day to day expenses. They refused to listen to anything. My mum was charged +- R10 or R15 for every sms and +-R28 for every email sent and not sure but over +- R20 for every call. I understand if they charged the amount she was owing and a small collection fee. But to charge per call and sms and email. That is ridiculous. I asked them to please reverse the charges for the calls and smss and emails. But they refused to help. This has really put a lot of stress and tension on a person who is in financial difficulty and sickly. I am very disappointed to know how humans can be so hard and harsh and have a no care attitude towards the sick elderly pensioner. This company is not helpful at all.
