Ticketmaster
Based on recent customer reviews, Ticketmaster is generating significant frustration among South African ticket buyers. Customers consistently mention difficulties with refunds for cancelled events, unauthorized transactions, and incorrect bookings that cannot be amended. A recurring theme is the absence of a contact number for support, leaving users stuck in email loops or automated responses. Many reviewers report problems with the app and website, including login failures, password reset issues, and tickets not appearing after purchase. Concerns around accessibility policies, seat allocation disputes, and rigid no-refund terms further compound the negative sentiment expressed by patrons.

Ticketmaster is without question one of the worst platforms I’ve ever had the misfortune of using. Both the website and the mobile app are an absolute mess. Slow, buggy, unreliable, poorly designed, and unbelievably frustrating from start to finish. It feels like the entire platform was built without any consideration for user experience whatsoever. The website constantly lags, pages randomly fail to load, sessions time out, errors pop up for no clear reason, and the checkout process feels like a battle of refreshing screens and hoping something eventually works. It’s clunky, confusing, and completely unacceptable for a platform whose entire purpose is selling tickets online. Then there’s the app — which is somehow even worse. Freezing, crashing, buttons not responding properly, pages hanging while loading, random glitches during booking… it’s honestly embarrassing. You open the app expecting convenience and end up fighting with it every step of the way. What makes it even more infuriating is that this happens during time-sensitive ticket sales where every second matters. People are rushing to secure tickets while Ticketmaster’s platform is busy falling apart underneath them. For a global company charging service fees on every transaction, there is absolutely no excuse for the website and app to perform this badly. Customers shouldn’t need patience, luck, multiple refreshes, and backup devices just to buy a ticket. Ticketmaster manages to take something that should be exciting — buying tickets to an event — and turn it into a stressful, rage-inducing experience. Genuinely one of the most poorly built and frustrating apps and websites I’ve used in years. Completely unacceptable.

Very bad experience. I made a double booking. They cancelled the wrong show. Waiting on a refund for 2 months now. They give a system generated message Nd nothing further. If I could give - 20 I would

This is the worst website I have ever visited. First I can't access my account and have to update my password. Finally got in and now I can't transfer my tickets. They keep on kicking me out when ever I want to transfer. And now if I want to go in they ask me to change my password. Really poor.!!!!!!!!

I was meant to attend tonight's performance (07-04-2026) of Pretty Woman the Musical but when I got to the door, I (and everybody sitting in the front row) was told that we must report to the ticket office. There we were told that our tickets were no longer valid as Row A was now being used by the orchestra. The show has already been running for a week. We received no calls or emails from Ticketmaster warning us of this issue. After we have driven all the way to Artscape Theatre, parked, paid R45 for parking there, and walked up to the door of the venue, we are told 5 minutes before the performance is scheduled to begin that our R600 front row tickets are no longer valid. To add insult to injury Artscapes informs us that WE must now liase with Ticketmaster to either issue a refund or rebook. Very poor planning indeed.

The most convoluted process to transfer tickets to guests where one is "forced" to open Ticketmaster accounts in order to receive tickets. Website/App requires a 12 character password - ridiculous! No contact number for service support, help function on website puts one in a loop with no solution in sight... The most un user friendly experience. Will not recommend or be using them in future.
