Business: The Fun Company (Menlyn Park) Review: I am writing this to warn other consumers about a deeply concerning experience my family and I had at The Fun Company in Menlyn Park on 3 May 2026. We attempted to use a valid promotion via the FNB App, which typically requires a simple PIN or code entry by the merchant. However, the manager on duty refused to process our promotion unless I handed over my unlocked personal mobile phone for them to manually operate. When I reasonably declined to hand over my device—citing the sensitive financial and personal data it contains—the manager refused to provide further service or honor the promotion. This is a massive violation of privacy under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and a failure to uphold the partnership agreement between FNB and The Fun Company. It is highly irregular for a business to demand physical possession of a customer's phone to redeem a voucher. I have sent a formal complaint to their management and head office, but have received no response. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer privacy is unacceptable. I would advise others to be cautious when using digital vouchers here.

My nephew lost his phone and went back to ask for help, maybe someone handed it in as a lost and found or even a staff member, the seemed to be helpful at first but as soon as I told her my concerns she was rude and said dismissed me.

Bad Service to the Core by Staff Members!! It was my birthday on the 22/11/2025, first time I visit fun company, after purchasing the tickets we didn't know how it works, which line to go to. There's a lady who issued us the card after purchase, she was so RUDE, didn't have Patience, no customer service, I even asked her why you being so rude because it's our first time here we don't know how it works? She proudly said "What do you want me to do" I shared a tear and I still had to play. I wouldn't advice anyone to go there and I feel sorry for people who still have to deal with that Rude cold staff member. She's african light in complexion I think she's a supervisor or coordinator

I came from fourways. played ten pin at fourways. came to rosebank and the lady OLGA tells me I cannot use my VIP card and I must BUY a new VIP card to play.this is not correct as it is their card and them changing the card.why must I buy another VIP card?pathetic

The Fun Company at Menlyn have such rude staff. The one cleaning lady swore at my six year old and then she and one of the other workers of the fun company started talking in their language and pointing at my child.

We always visit the Fun company and get amazing service from everyone, we are regulars who usually get food and sit in while having drinks , we never had issues . Last month we visited fun company and Almarie/Almerie from Fun Company Fourways whoever her name was called security on us mind you it was the first time we met her , said we are not gonna sit in there if we not buying even after the others explained to her that we always chill and drink her she was adamant to get us out saying we just sitting for our lunch and” they must buy or leave it’s not allowed to just sit in “ which we know since we are regulars . At first we dismissed it and said to her colleague that she needs to talk to her , yesterday we went to Fun company Fourways mall again she was just as plain rude and making remarks we once again told her colleague but seems she is just gonna keep going at it , kindly advise where to from here as she makes our visits uncomfortable. She is unprofessional and clearly has an issue we know nothing about as she’s nice to everyone else or we probably got judged cause we are mall tenants and upon every visit there she is a thorn , after knocking off we just wanna sit and unwind but her work ethic needs to be studied honestly, we love the vibe and chilled scene of Fun Company but Almerie need to get her attitude right or even approach us as to what is her problem .

The gentleman by the name Welcome from Fun Company at the Emerald Casino is rude, doesn't understand customer service. He has been rude since we got here. He was rough with me to a point he nearly broke my wrist in the process of him pulling my ball from my hand without speaking to me properly telling me to not use the rail. He is really a bad patron. He even gave us attitude when we asked him to clean up the table as it was sticky and we wanted to place our drinks. If he doesn't want his job he should work elsewhere not where he needs to deal with people everyday.
