The company in question is: SMR Security. Although they have an excellent response team the technical side lack the new technology experience and knowledge. That is where the nice stops. After an incident we request upgrade on the radio's and to a better control on our alarm system. The matter ended where we decide to move to a more equipped and Handson security company with new technology and 100% control over our alarm systems. How ever the company refuse to Cancel the debit orders and insist on a 3-month cooldown period, after more than 10 years, did not expect them to throw us this curve ball. The new company system is excellent. I can be at the point during a break-in within less than 3 minutes. Got camera visuals and control on my cell. This SMR could not do and the statement sent from the owner to the control room seems they not going to invest in new technology. That is what you got. Over the years we stayed with them and after a few attempts to move on, the board’s decision was to stay out of loyalty. But loyalty with no added benefits is not cutting it. This last hiccup made us change for the better. It seems in discussion with some personnel, this was the trend of the company, and it seems everyone let it slide. The question is now, should we report the matter to the Public Protector of South Africa regard this issue as well.

Do not ever think about using this security company in sasolburg in sasolburg ever. The equipment don't work. They are rude.have zero customer service. U talk only to the receptionist who will claim she knows nothing They don't send u monthly statements and when you want to cancel they will tell u u owe them. U will run to get any kind of service and after that u will only receive empty promises. We have been running for over one year to cancel that contact. With equipment that have 2 years not working.

These is the mssege i have sent to smr security :Is it fair for someone to pay for something that doesn't work and if you request the contract it can't even be sent to you, according to my knowledge your my problem started with your technician stating that the system will be fixed in your own expense that was before i even signed the contract, now im the bad person, how on earth do one pay for something without the benefit worse is not working,they have broke in without any intervention from you guys now, please tell me what are guys expecting me to do to, i really fail to understa

In November 2017 a technician working for SMR security replaced our intercom system at home. The technician required me to go with him and buy a new system on his companies name. he installed the system and repaired apparent damaged wiring on the system. The system only worked for about 1 month and is malfunctioning again. After contacting SMR security on 8 and 9 January, they refuse to repair the work. Their reasoning is that the technician no longer works for them and thus they do not guarantee the work.

We ask SMR Security for a quotation for a security system. They sent a Willem de Meyer and a second guy for the assessment. We received a email with the quote and a sms that states we have to pay 50 % upfront. that was on the 3rd. on 4th August we paid a amount of R2000 to Mr de Meyer cash. on the 5th SMR phoned to ask when are we paying our DEP. I told her I already did made a cash payment to Mr de Meyer. she said they never received a payment. she she told me that Mr de Meyer don't work for them anymore. I spoked to a Bennie from SMR Security, and he told me that they are not responsible for the money because Mr de Meyer don't work for them from the 4th August, the day he took our money. He , Bennie did make us an offer for stock he had in the amount of R1200 and then we have to pay for the rest of the quote. We still have a lost of R800. We refuse the offer and demanded our money back. Bennie told me that he will not pay and that is our lost. but he send Mr de Meyer to our school and we we're been scammed by that same person we trusted. how can we ever trust anyone. <br> We worked hard for that money. And we trusted the security company and the people they send.

We have decided to install an armed alarm system at our residence as my husband was working overseas.<br> We had the alarm for 3months where the door eyes fell off and we were told to stick them back on again with superglue which one of the assistance handed to me.<br> In the same week the alarm stopped working. I was told that it was damaged by lightning, which was NOT the case.<br> <br> Weeks later, I found out that we never paid our installation...where the technitian who installed the system STOLE the monies and never mentoned we paid. The guy no longer works there<br> <br> I obtained an alternative quote from another company as the rep told me that we had a second hand system installed. not even new.<br> After numerous emails, phone calls with the owner, Bennie for an appointment to visit the premises to have a look at the CRAP workmanship, I was promised a NEW system at no cost but on the condition to pay the outstanding monthly armed response fees.
