Very bad service rendered and hell bent on ruining people financially. After my family and I were suspended for not paying on time or actually for funds not reflecting in my account, after I tried to get the details from anyone the banking details to make the payment on the 3rd of april, all efforts made to discovery from my end failed. Then I get suspended immediately so no cover the whole month of April and then they have the cheek to send me an sms they will be deducting the money from my account on the 2nd of May. This is brought day light and not medical care but exploitation in my eyes. I have 2 young kids and rent to pay and I just lost my dad recently. All my emails are falling on deaf ears. Please somebody help me and I pray that these greedy money grabbers don't interfere with my bank account because of no service was rendered for this whole month, one should not be charged. Please Discovery don't rob my children of the little we have. Life is very hard as it is.
DISCOVERY HEALTH: UNRESPONSIVE, UNFAIR, AND UNACCEPTABLE. By a former member who was left unprotected when it mattered most. On 28 April 2026, I formally cancelled my Discovery Health Medical Aid with immediate effect. I have dependants. We were already suspended due to a delayed debit order. *Why did I cancel?* Before the suspension, I contacted Discovery multiple times — phone calls and emails — pleading for banking details so I could make a manual payment. I explained there would be insufficient funds on debit order day. _No one assisted me. No one called back. No one sent banking details._ The result? My family and I were suspended. We had *zero medical cover*. If my children, my partner, or I had a medical emergency, we would have been turned away. This is after I actively tried to pay them. Only _after_ we were suspended did Discovery representatives suddenly have the nerve to call me repeatedly. Too late. The damage was done. The trust was broken. *And now, the final insult:* After submitting my immediate cancellation on 28 April 2026, Discovery sent me an SMS stating they will deduct my premium on 2 May 2026 and “uplift the suspension.” For what reason should I allow this? 1. *I cancelled with immediate effect.* I do not consent to reinstatement. 2. *No service was rendered for April 2026.* My family was suspended the entire month. Legally, you cannot charge for a service you did not provide. 3. *You ignored my attempts to pay.* You created the suspension through lack of communication, then want to debit me to fix it? That is cruel and unfair. *Discovery, read this clearly:* I am a severely hurt daughter who lost her father not long ago. My financial situation is a rollercoaster because my employment contract is ending. I have two children to feed and rent to pay. I have explained this to your agents. I have sent many emails. Nobody has reached out with a solution. So I am begging you: *Do NOT touch my bank account on 2 May.* Do NOT be unfair and cruel. Do NOT take advantage of someone in grief. Honor my decision. Cancel all ties going forward. Leave me alone. *To the public & Council for Medical Schemes:* Is this how we treat members? Is this Treating Customers Fairly? I followed procedure. I tried to pay. I was left without cover. I cancelled. Now Discovery wants to force a deduction against my will, for a month where we had no cover. I have already instructed my bank to block all Discovery debit orders. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Council for Medical Schemes. Discovery Health — you market yourselves as protectors. But you left my family unprotected, ignored me when I reached out, and now you won’t let me go. That is not healthcare. That is exploitation.
Please stay away from a Mechanic by the name of: Yashveer Harilal. He is a ***** and claims to replace old parts with new one's which he doesn't do. He took over 25k for my Hyundai Getz under a year ago and refuses to have a look at the engine and his so called work that he has done on my vehicle, now I'm in a fix and struggling to get my car on the road. Stay away from this mechanic is he definitely a fly by night and a *****.
Firstly, I chose the Health & Medical Industry as there is no Food / beverage selection for this juice. Very upset, so after my initial complaint to C***** SA website and here on HELLOPETER, I receive a voucher of some kind as a sms saying, I can redeem this at any Checkers for any TROPIKA TO THE VALUE OF R40!!! Imagine, I could have endured hospital bills and serious possibly loss of life due to this **** that was pouring out of the TROPIKA PINEAPPLE Last week, but wait for it, in their defence they compensate with a voucher via sms to the worth of R 40-00!! I am left in disbelieve but one thing for certain I will never, like never ever purchase any c***** brands going forward, really you guys should have not even bothered sending the voucher. I would have appreciated a call of sympathy or let's be HONEST, A DAMN BETTER DEAL TOWARD THE COMPENSATION!!
Good day all, my opinion is that they need more friendly faces behind the desk that help children and parents trying to purchase tickets and snacks, this is not a cheap outing and to be met with an attitude filled young male face, who messes up your slush puppy drink, not cool, my luck the lady who stepped in to help, as she could she I was not impressed by this "youngster" and his pathetic behaviour, offered to remake me another slush puppy that looked worth the amount we spend on these things. Please management and staff at RUSH GREENSTONE, PLEASE HIRE MORE FRIENDLY FACES AS WE ARE GETTING READY TO APPROACH THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
Most disgusting and scary kinda cloth thing fell out of my sealed Tropika Juice Pineapple. This could have led to such a serious health hazard or hospitalization case, if my kids had this juice, my husband instead of our kids had a taste (nothing happened to him thank God), but unacceptable levels of expectation from our beloved TROPIKA C*****, yes, I checked the expiry date, and it only expires next month Nov 2025.
Very good and safe place to host kids' parties, lots of entertainment for kids and adult, food very big portions. Price is very affordable. Will most definitely go back here again soon.
Although a bit late, I just had to share how amazing our family holiday at Sun City was in April 2025! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The cabanas were beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast was absolutely breathtaking, and the pools and green lawns made every day feel like paradise. The nightlife was vibrant and full of energy, giving us memories we will treasure forever. My family and I had the most wonderful time, and I sincerely hope to return soon. Thank you, Sun City, for the lovely memories!
Croc City is such an amazing place for families! My kids had the best time exploring, learning, and seeing the crocodiles up close. The atmosphere is fun and safe, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. After all the excitement, we enjoyed a light lunch that was fresh and delicious. A wonderful outing for both kids and adults — highly recommended!
World of Golf is always a treat for the whole family! My kids absolutely love the Dimples Restaurant and play area – the food is delicious, portions are generous, and the play area keeps the little ones entertained for hours. It’s the perfect spot where parents can relax while the kids have fun. Highly recommended for family outings!
