People I need your advice. I took Discovery medical aid in August last year with their 3 months waiting periods ending in November and the benefits kicking in on 01 Dec. I fell ill and was hospitalized. They refused to pay. I dropped a review on this platform and someone from Discovery called me complaining that I was only less than 6months with the scheme and that is why they were not paying. That was very strange because the waiting period was over. I then received another call stating that the claim was rejected because my primary caregiver didn't fill in their PMA. I spoke to one of the ladies who assured me that the moment they receive this PMA they will review the claim. Just now I have received a text saying Dt Mbuwako hasn't sent them the PMA though that was sent on Monday already. The only thing Discovery does is to pay for OTC, they're 100% good in that. Did I really take a medical aid for OTC? My advice to anyone who aspires to join these scheme, be warned. There's a lot they don't disclose when you take their policy. I've never missed a premium since joining. Please advise me on a reputable medical aid company. Discovery are ******. They will play games while playing with your money. The guy whom I spoke to on the phone's ego was that they paid the ambulance. It's their job! It's on the policy contract! It's not a favour! I wish I could be loud enough. I now sitting with a hospital bill, doctor's bills and medications bill. Hellopeter.com come to my rescue. Discovery will rip you off. Be warned!
I am a proud drive planner Audi A4 and an Audi S3. Audi is making money out of steering racks. My A4 had a steering rack changed in the past 3 years. Yesterday when I was starting the car, again the steering rack is defective. My fried when I recruited to buy the A4 and another one who's driving an A6 complained of the same. In my case it means I'll have the rack changed three times now! Oh no! This is pathetic! Audi needs to do something about it. I can't keep on replacing steering racks. Please Hellopeter step in to my rescue and alert fellow South Africans who aspire to own these not to...theyre *******. Pure *******. Of course they drive well but the steering rack part is very much upsetting.
Bad shopping experience at Game Kokstad. I am at the store and I just noticed Mr Min on promo 2 for R84 I grabbed 2 and when I got to the till they scanned a different price. I took Challote to the isle and she did see both sizes on the same gondola with only one price. She told me the promo is for 300ml. We went to the till and I told her I didn't pack the gondola they did. I told her I was gonna call their head office. The girl gave me an attitude telling me she'll never ever assist me in the store because she doesn't own the dept. Then another lady approached with an attitude as well. She is Phumelele. That one angrily took the 2 tins back to the shelf without saying a word. I asked her name and she didn't answer she cheeckily moved to the store and I was left standing there. What kind of service is this? It's been less than 2 months since Mr Draai retired, the ex store manager and this is happening? I've never felt so humiliated ever in my life.
People, Discovery health is a ****! Be warned. I just joined these bunch of ****mers with waiting period ending end November. On the 15 Dec I fell sick and I called them they dispatched an ambulance. I was rushed to Dr Mbuwako since it was a public holiday and they were the only ones open then to hospital. These ****mers refused to pay Dr Mbuwako saying she is a non-network provider but my welcome pack says I should see any doctor. Again, they are not paying the hospital they claim that I am less than 12 months with them but the waiting period I was made aware that it's 3 months except for pre existing conditions which they stipulated on my welcome pack. I have just called them and spoke to Nadida who told me that waiting periods are 12 months. Since when? The 2 conditions they told me it's gonna be 13 months it was chest pains and lower limb pains. These people are ****** trust me. I dropped a review here previously where they had also put DVT on 12 months because of an information I obtained from Google. After writing that review here they called me and put DVT back on the plan. They are a disgrace! If you want to take a medical aid, let it NOT be DISCOVERY. They're about money. Even if you can listen to the recording when I signed up with them you'll pick a lot of lies. I recorded my first call with them. Crestcare is now waiting for their money but Discovery is playing games. Dr Mbuwako is waiting for her money and Discovery only discovers now that there should be network doctors...who are they? It's ridiculous! I've got my welcome pack in black and white, nowhere does it state network doctors...only hospitals. Kindly step in and assist. South Africans...be warned! Discovery Health are ****mers! Big ones!
I took a policy from Old mutual, one for my family and one one for my step dad. On receipt of the policy contract I noticed that both my husband and my step dad share the same birthdays. I called Old mutual and a thread of emails. I was assisted by Kay Jardine and I told them if that was not rectified that same day they MUST cancel both policies. That was in 2021...until now Kay Jardine is silent but they're deducting my money. I need all those monies these people are taking from me ungodlessly. I have proof that I instructed them to cancel only to notice they're debiting. For more than 5 years these people are getting richer by *****ing from my savings account. How many people out there who haven't noticed yet? I've got Kay Jardine's email. I INSTRUCTED them to cancel the policy in May 2021. How can my stepfather share the same birthday with my husband? That is *****. Broad daylight *******! It's 2 policies. I WANT my money because I went to companies who do not get rich *****ulently and I replaced those policies.
Good morning people of God, I just wanted to warn you of these people, Paladin. These people are related to Hamtern financial services. I was hit by a Sequence logistics truck on the 16 May 2025. The guy ran away but I managed to apprehend him. We went to the SAPS and the accident was recorded. I then called the company in question and I was told the truck is fitted with a camera. I was told they were going to view the footage. After a lengthy period of submitting affidavits, quotes, discs and everything, I was reffered to PWV Inc who after throwing me from pillar to post advised that the claim was rejected because there is no evidence and no footage and that their driver says a different story. These people are cheats, I was told Pieter Otto was going to be assisting me with the claim. The person was blank, totally clueless until my claim was sent to PWV. People, be warned, Paladin is a ****.
I have just taken a policy with Discovery Health. I was assisted by Eric. I've got a lot of questions and now even that Eric isn't responding and I thought they were not gonna debit my account but they did. When I took this policy, they rushed into signing me up before taking all the required documentation into consideration. Because of that there's unnecessary exclusions. I sent them a pathology report showing there's no threat of DVT but still it's excluded. I'm not fearing for as my Physician has ruled it out, but still it is highway ******* that Discovery excludes it and also what is excluded is lower limb pain. I have requested for an explanation and that fell on deaf ears Last week, using my airtime, I called Discovery and spoke to Jerome who after a long wait transferred me to Sesethu who was totally blank. This Sesethu made me to hold on the line for a long time but still couldn't solve the problem. What is this? I sent all the necessary documentation, still there are exclusions. Does this mean that when taking their policy we must lie about our previous health issues? This Sesethu came back with nothing, after that long wait. I want Discovery to revisit my application and act accordingly. They must remove these exclusions or cancel my policy. It's as easy as that. They should stop *****ing people. Blood results were sent, x-rays were sent, what else do they want? I was previously with them and I've never encountered anything of this sort. This Eric is now silent, he got business. If I wanted to be nasty, I'd request we go back to the recording of the first day we spoke. Please, rectify this, or we part ways! It's that simple! This clueless Sesethu also said there's no Doctors consultation on this plan whereas I shopped online and saw there is with a co-payment of R125, we had to argue about that. Maybe she's right and that Discovery is *****ing us by showing online that there's GP consultations. I also want someone to tell me there is. Where did you get this Sesethu girl? She needs retraining maybe? Are there Doctors consultations or not on this plan? Also, where is the membership card except for the online one? Have you guys fine bankrupt in that you can't afford printing membership cards? Strange!
Since last year I've been waiting for FNB to finalize my hospitalisation claim but instead they're throwing me from pillar to post. They requested the blood test results and I sent them on numerous occasions and they kept quiet after receiving those in June. I sent them an email yesterday and this morning they rep**** sorry that you're hospitalized we wish you a speedy recovery...who said I was in hospital? The email I sent them was a follow up on a R18 000+ plus that they owe me. To show that they don't care, they wish me a speedy recovery. Surely, they didn't bother reading the email and it's contents. I want my money, and I want it paid to my 32 days account as I no longer have an active day to say account with them. I can't trust ****** with my salary. The results were sent in June. These people are ******. They only want what's coming to them, what benefits them and end up lying to the public.
On the 2 July, I bought tiles at Cashbuild Frere, 15 boxes. They were to be delivered at my place which is about 800m from the store. The delivery dragged due to the fact that I'm not always home. On the 8 July, there was a truck at my gate and when approached it, the guy told me he wanted me to sign the invoice for a delivery that was done days ago. I asked him where were the tiles, he pointed at my verandah that they left the tiles there. I couldn't sign. I quickly ran to the store to be thrown from pillar to post. Bukiwe Kupe told me the tiles were delivered to my place and received by my kids who are 19&21. I asked her if they were there, why didn't they sign because they're old enough to count and sign for the stuff. Since the 8 July I've been up and down going to the store until yesterday when I realized Bukiwe is in fact insulting me, I went to the manager. The manager called the delivery crew who confirmed that when they offloaded the tiles there was nobody at my place. ( I was not there when he confirmed that). I had to call two witnesses and I gave the manager my phone to listen to voicenotes confirming I was not home for the whole week. Bukiwe still insisted that my kids were there. I am now about to go to their schools in Mthatha for a register showing where were they on the days in question. That will be petrol driving 110km to and 110km back. I feel so very much insulted by Cashbuild Mt Frere. I've built all my three homes being their customer. I've never stole a globe there, not even a nail and now all of a sudden, this. I am taking this to court. I want the law to take its course and after the proceedings my lawyer to make it a point that Cashbuild clears my name.
Good morning Hello Peter team, Thank you for this platform, it does help. I dropped here a review about First For women and a manager with the name of Peggy called me. She wanted slips of the ****** goods and unfortunately I didn't have. I told her though where the goods were purchased and she requested the names of the sales staff who were assisting me and the store manager, I furnished her with that. She promised to get someone to do that. After a couple of days I made a follow up via email and she promised that she is still looking for someone to go to Game. I was puzzled as that was not the original plan but I said to myself they can employ their policy and mine was to wait. The first consultant I was assigned to was Edward Nkwana who rep**** to one of my emails as on leave. I was assigned another one, Namane who has got two names, and I was a bit lost when this Kagiso called and I thought he was a third person. It was then assigned to Koketso, then Ryan. All of these people came with different stories. Ryan requested photos I sent. Koketso requested photos I sent. And when I thought all was done and set, Ryan came with a claim that January was not covered as the premium came back unpaid. I asked him what did they do after noticing that, he hasn't come back to me with the response to that. I called today and this Peggy is avoiding me like plague, instead she sent the boy Kagiso to address me, (she always does). The boy has just told me the claim was rejected because of January premium. I asked him if the premiums aren't paid in advance and as we were talking he ******* me as if he was bit hearing me and ultimately cut the call. This is First for women for you. I previously had a case like this with Lerika who told me the claim was rejected and when I dropped a review here, Hemersh came with a different view. I thought Peggy was as competent as Hermesh. I fail to understand why not even once I was not called to say there is a missed premium. I fail to understand that Peggy, as a manager couldn't pick that up since day one I had a conversation with her instead now she sends these kagisos to address me. This is not on and I will pursue it even if it means going to the highest court. These is pure cheating. And I am not going to leave FFW, they just need to do what they are supposed to be doing. I can't let them cheat us like this! Croocks! When they want you to take the policy they call more than a hundred times, when you claim they throw you from pillar to post. They must replace my items. Fir quite a number of times they requested me to send them the picture of how the entry was gained and at last told me there was a missed premium. I am not taking that. Not now not ever!
