They needed clarity on my purchase order, I was contacted via Whatsapp by a staff member who introduced herself, explained the problem, got my response and nowhere did they ask or give any personal information, which I really appreciated. I will gladly recommend Shopping4Africa.com to friends and family.
Purchase order done 04/01/2026. Payment done a week later. We are now on 04/03/2026, 2 months later and they refuse to send the items they have in stock, they refuse to credit me, they refuse to make changes, they refuse to send my order, they literally just refuse to give me what I paid for. They did acknowledge receipt of payment and there is ONE item out of stock. Sunscreen. For that, I have to go without everything else I paid for, despite my order being urgent. But hey, it's only been 2 MONTHS so what am I complaining about?
Cheap service but excellent quality. Am very impressed with the Pudo branch as well. Often my parcels are delivered ahead of schedule. Always intact, never any damage. The staff always respond to query emails promptly and staff are friendly and efficient when contacted telephonically. Thank you!!!
What a pleasure to deal with you guys. I have been buying via Takealot for a few years, and time after time I am so impressed with the service. What impresses me most, is the continual feedback. I literally even get an SMS when the courier is on it's way. And then to crown it all, the courier still phoned me to confirm I'd still be at work as our office closes at 3pm and she was still en route. What a champ. Thank you very much!
I did an online purchase on 02/04/2023. Was emailed that it would be delivered by 07/04/2023. It was eventually delivered on 12/04/2023 and I returned it, requesting a refund. Request was acknowledged by Makro online on 15/04/2023. Item was collected from me on 19/04/2023. Email received on 26/04/2023 that refund is being processed to the account from which I paid for the item.. 15/05/2023 Email received that a refund is due to me. I submitted bank details. 15/05/2023 Email received that my details are being forwarded to Accounts for a refund. 30/05/2023 Email received, asking if refund reflects yet. (It didn't). Despite NUMEROUS phone calls and additional emails, I have to date not received a refund NOR a date on which to expect the refund, nor any other progress report at all whatsoever. When I phoned to speak to a supervisor, I kept holding on and kept speaking to the same person who never put me through to a supervisor. My question: Is Makro bankrupt or something, that they just don't refund? It is 06/06/2023 today and still no refund nor any updates on progress.
#SupportLocal I contacted the Herm**** shop regarding a camera they advertised. Upon being told I am in Gauteng, the clerk got the store manager to assist me. Their website indicated that products must be collected in store, however this store manager had me do an eft, and got one of the staff members to send my parcel via courier. Now THAT is typical South African good-heartedness. I am so impressed!
I bought a cell c sim card from Ackermans, Selcourt Towers. I took along my ID and proof of residence in order to get the sim card RICA'd.<br> The teller captured my details and gave me a slip to prove the RICA process was complete, yet 2 weeks later I STILL cannot use the sim card!<br> Cell C says the problem lies with Ackermans.<br> Ackermans says the problem lies with Cell C.<br> NOBODY even asks for the sim number in order to check on their systems what the problem might be - I HAVE TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK TO GO BACK TO THE STORE! Why should I go BACK to get something done that was supposed to have been done in the first place?? THEY GET PAID FOR THIS SERVICE!! Who refunds me the time I have to take off work, and the fuel and costs of free parking to go BACK?<br> One simply cannot complain about the service if there isn't any!!!!
My data contract expired, was cancelled, and still gets debited from my account.<br> After NUMEROUS phone calls, I started making notes and taking down names, and 7 weeks after the last promise that I would be refunded, not only was I not refunded BUT ANOTHER DEBIT WENT THROUGH MY ACCOUNT!!!<br> <br> Cell C truly is for YOURSELF, because it's most certainly NOT for customers!<br> Why can't someone phone me BEFORE my contract expires to ask if I want to continue it? Why does this happen THREE MONTHS AFTER the contract expired AND GOT CANCELLED?<br> Who's paying for my numerous phone calls to the call center? Who's paying for the debits through my account? This morning at around 9.58am I phoned MTN AGAIN, on number 808. Usually I have to phone 3 or 4 times to get through, however today I was lucky in the sense that I only held on for about 15 minutes before having my call answered.<br> My contract was migrated from Nashua Mobile NOT BY MY CHOICE, I had no option! I've been forced to deal directly with MTN and in the first 3 months I've had 2 months of problems!!! <br> When I phoned last month to ask why I get charged TWICE for my Blackberry Internet Services, the response was 'sorry, we'll put a credit through' and yet, this month THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN!<br> When I phoned 808 to query this, the lady refused to assist me because I would not confirm my PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS, which has NOTHING to do with MTN since I pay via EFT!!! Why must I disclose personal details for a mistake MTN REPEATS????<br> It is bad enough that suddenly my account has to be paid by the 20th, after YEARS of keeping my account up to date with Nashua Mobile!<br> IF MTN DIDNT REPEAT THEIR MISTAKE, I WOULDNT HAVE HAD TO TAKE VALUABLE TIME OUT OF MY DAY TO PHONE, AND WOULDNT NEED TO CONFIRM PERSONAL DETAILS TELEPHONICALLY TO STRANGERS!!! <br> FIX YOUR ACCOUNTING SYSTEM!!!!!
