Billing Practices by Fungi Utilities
Fungi Utilities is a *****ulent company ****ming residents out of their money. My daughter is renting an apartment in one of the M&T townhouses, and even on weekends when she is not home, Fungi continues deducting money. This shows that their system is not measuring actual usage but is designed to deceive unsuspecting tenants into believing it is functional. They charge for a full month regardless of whether you are home or not. From my observation, it seems they calculate their budget by charging each tenant around R20 per day. Everything is billed separately hot water is charged, network is charged leaving residents with inflated and unjustified costs. This practice is exploitative and unfair, and I believe Fungi Utilities should be investigated for ****ming tenants through these *****ulent deductions.

Misleading MTN LTE 5G “Unlimited” Deal – Trapped in a Useless Contract
I believe the Madlanga Commission should urgently investigate MTN for deceptive practices and what feels like outright *****. I was lured into a misleading LTE 5G “unlimited” data deal at an MTN kiosk, advertised at R299/month. I specifically asked the consultant if it was truly unlimited and whether I’d be locked into a contract. She assured me it was a flexible, month-to-month deal with no vetting or long-term commitment. I provided my ID and address, and was told the router would arrive in 5 days. To my surprise, it arrived the very next day. I activated the service near month-end, and initially, everything worked fine. But just two days after MTN deducted the R299.00 from my account, the service became unusable. I couldn’t stream anything. When I contacted customer service (after waiting over an hour on hold), I was told I had already used up the “fair usage” cap of 100GB. This is shocking—I live alone, only stream news or soccer for a few hours in the evening. There’s no way I used 100GB in two days. To make matters worse, I’ve been bounced between customer service and MTN stores trying to cancel this deal. The store says it’s an online contract and can’t help. Customer service says I must go to the store. I’m now stuck in a contract I can’t use, with no support and no accountability from MTN. This is unacceptable. I demand immediate cancellation of this contract and a refund for the unusable service. MTN must stop misleading customers with false advertising and poor support.

Urgent Review of Unaffordable Vodacom Contract for Elderly Customer
I am writing on behalf of my aunt, Le Tshela Rathotse (Vodacom Account Number: I***), who is 74 years old and lives alone. Earlier this year, Vodacom offered her a contract requiring a monthly payment of R1300. She survives solely on a government grant and has no additional income. I am deeply concerned that Vodacom approved this contract without conducting a proper affordability assessment. On 7 October, Vodacom attempted to debit R1981.07 from her account. My aunt had left R1500 in her account, expecting the usual R1300 debit. The transaction failed due to insufficient funds. Upon reviewing her bank statement, I discovered that Vodacom’s debit amounts have been fluctuating significantly. In July and August, the debits were R2274.01 and R2694.04 respectively. These amounts are far beyond her financial capacity. This situation is not just financially unsustainable—it is heartbreaking. When I visited her recently, she had no food in the house because she had reserved R1500 for Vodacom’s debit. She is now constantly in arrears, with no means to catch up. I would have assisted her financially, but I am over-indebted myself. My concern is that the sales representative failed to conduct a thorough vetting process. Had they done so, it would have been clear that my aunt does not qualify for such a high-value contract. I am requesting Vodacom to urgently review this matter and offer a more compassionate solution. Proposed Solutions: - Restructure the contract over a longer term to reduce monthly payments to R600 or less. - Alternatively, cancel the contract to prevent further financial harm and potential blacklisting. Please advise on the best possible resolution. My aunt deserves dignity and financial protection, not distress caused by unaffordable obligations. Thank you for your attention.

Rain network is just a waste of money having hope that the network issue will be fixed
Rain Network is soo bad you can't depend on it to run your business. I mostly have a problem with connecting to rain network on Fridays and most of the weekends, but this week as from Monday I couldn't connect at all and I am using the 101 which should be the best router. I have a daughter who is studying online and needs to connect to the internet to do her school work, even during the day she struggles. In the evening it's worse because I have to do my own business, studies and stream that is when you can't even do a single one of this from start to finish. Please resolve this issue or stop my contract.

******** debit orders from Cartrac
I have a contract with cartrack. I had 2 cars on the contract. 1 Toyota Tazz and 2 Toyota Avanza. December 2023 I asked the cartrack customer service to cancel the Toyota Tazz contract because I wasn't using it anymore and it was canceled. From January until July 2024 they were debiting my account for 2 cars, I only realized when they debited R987 and 2 days after R481. I then asked Fnb to reverse the amount. Then Cartrack started to call me that I owe them. I told them they actually owed me because I canceled contract for 1 car they told me it wasn't canceled because they couldn't find me when they called then my question was when they call me for the money they claim I owe them why are they getting me? Then I canceled the Toyota Tazz contract and it was done directly without them calling me. Cartrack must refund me the money they debited from January 2024 until August because the contract was canceled and they must stop debiting my bank account whenever they feel like my contract with them stipulate that they will debit my account on the 1st of every month. Sometimes they debit on the 1st the 31st the 27th which is a breach to the contract I have with them.

Cell C false marketing of Huawei Pura 70 and free gift
I saw on the Cell C magazine in July the promo of Honor 200 light with a smart watch which I was interested on, so in the store I realized there was a promo of Huawei Pura 70 with a free gift of Huawei Tablet. I decided to take it since it was going to benefit me and my daughter at ones. So finished the process then was told that the Tablet will be sent to my address between 7 and 21 working days. As we speak I called and sent emails requesting my gift and every time I call I am told that they were waiting for me to verify my address. Now I came to realize that this was a form of false marketing and advertising to entice customers to take this phone which they know well we are not going to get the free gift. My question is if there's a promotion why doesn't cell C ask Huawei to give them those free gifts instore? Now I am dealing with other people who I barely reach on a phone. Can Cell C please give me my free gift or allow me to cancel the contract and look elsewhere.

False Marketing from cell C and Huawei
On the 22nd of July I saw a promotion of Pura 70 from Cell C which was giving a free gift of A Huawei Mate pad. I got attracted to this offer because I was planning to give my daughter the tablet. So I just realized that it was false marketing to make people take this contract and be promised that the tablet will be delivered within 7 to 21 working days which has passed without receiving a free gift. Can someone from Huawei please explain why are they lying to customers promising something that they are well aware that it's not going to be sent.

Takealot doesn't do quality or packaging check of their suppliers
I bought a haylou smart watch from takealot order number ***. I received the watch used the item and because of the battery life of the watch I used it for about a week until the battery died or finished then I wanted to charge it only realised that there is no charger in the box, I love the watch but I can't charge it. So I logged a return which was approved and I took the watch to takealot pick up point in Benoni. As I was checking the time line on the return it says on 7th March at 13:31 "Return declined after product evaluation please refer to latest email communication for more information" At the time of writing this review there was no email sent to me about the watch. I handed it over in a good condition the only thing it doesn't have a charger and I only want a charger. I am asking humbly one of the 2 things. Exchange of the watch or put in the charger or refund my money. I don't want any thing more. If the status says rejected what am I going to do with a watch that doesn't have a charger?

No refund from Booking. Com
I booked for accommodation with booking. Com from the 2nd to the 4th of February. Within 10 minutes I realized that I booked the wrong guest house because the names were almost the same and I called the guest house and the owner said I must cancel and promised to refund me because it's not yet 24 hours since I have booked. I logged a request for refund until to date I haven't been refunded yet.

Cell C debiting on wrong date
I have a contract with Cell C. On numerous occasions they intentionally debit you before or after your agreed debit order date. On the 31st they debited my account which I normally deposit money into so that debit orders can get their money, but our agreed date is the 1st of every month. Now they blocked my account because of non payment. The money is in the account when I checked on their app they said they are going to double debit on the 01st of March. Now they want me to pay the money into their bank account which last time it happened I deposited money into cell c account then month end they double debited me and I struggled to get a refund. So I would like to ask cell c to stop their inconvenience, when we agree on the contract on a debit date they must comply to it. I won't pay interest that is cell c's fault not mine. Please sort this issue out.
