I was called by Elite Mobile to do an upgrade on my Vodacom account, and it has been a disaster from start to finish. The Courier Mess: RAM Couriers claimed they "couldn't find the address." The Proof: I literally had to show the Elite Mobile consultant my address on Google Maps to prove it exists. The Ghosting: She promised to speak to her supervisor and call me back immediately. Surprise, surprise—no call back. It’s easy for Elite Mobile to phone you and sell you a contract, but when it comes to actually delivering the handset or solving a problem, they disappear. Save yourself the stress: If Elite Mobile calls you for a Vodacom upgrade, just hang up. I am extremely disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) from RAM Hand-To-Hand Couriers regarding a phone delivery from Vodacom. According to their own tracking system (and confirmed via WhatsApp), my parcel was scheduled for delivery yesterday, Monday, 11 May 2026, before 17:00. I stayed home all day to ensure I was available to provide my ID and sign for the package. No one showed up, and no one called. Today, I am facing the exact same situation. Trying to get support is impossible: Phone Support: The queue to speak to an agent is consistently over 30 minutes. WhatsApp Support: The automated system is useless. It fails to answer direct questions, and the chat frequently "times out" or is closed by the system before any resolution is reached. It is unacceptable to expect customers to put their lives on hold for two days straight due to "Dispatch Hub" delays and *********** communication. RAM is failing its service level agreements, and Vodacom needs to seriously reconsider using a courier partner that shows such blatant disregard for their customers' time.
I was contracted (via Torque Tuning) to perform a TCU clone on an Audi DL382 gearbox for Bavarian Workshop. The cloning procedure was executed 100% correctly using professional-grade tools. Avoid this workshop for three key reasons: Filthy Work Environment: The workshop was shockingly dirty, covered in oil and grime. It was an unacceptable environment to perform complex vehicle work. Technical Incompetence & Blame Shifting: When the second-hand gearbox they sourced was faulty (physically leaking oil), they immediately tried to blame my perfectly executed ECU clone. They demonstrated a complete lack of technical knowledge by incorrectly claiming I had programmed a BMW file onto the Audi TCU—which is technically impossible. I provided photographic and hex file evidence proving the correct Audi file and part numbers were loaded, yet they persisted in their baseless accusation. Refusal to Pay Suppliers: After agreeing to a call-out fee for me to return and prove my work (only for the vehicle to be unavailable upon my arrival), they initially agreed to pay the cloning fee but not the call-out fee. Now, they have refused to pay both invoices for the professional services rendered. I strongly caution anyone considering taking their vehicle here or performing work for them. This business is dirty, lacks technical accountability, and is fundamentally dishonest in its dealings with suppliers. Be warned.
