I have traded in my vehicle on 24/04/2026 and VWFS account had been settled on the 28/04/2026. The dealership has received the logbook, paid up letter, the change of ownership forms and has sold the vehicle. Two weeks later, I am still waiting for my instalment to be refunded, paid up letter from the bank and for the account to be closed. I have not experienced this with other banks. I will not finance a vehicle through VWFS again. To all those reading this, save yourself the time and effort and use the other banks for vehicle finance.
I have traded in my vehicle on the 24/04/2026 and on the 28/04/2026 proof of payment had been reflecting on VWFS account. The Dealer has now sold my trade in and has also received the logbook, change of ownership forms and the paid up letter. Even though it's now TWO weeks later, I am still waiting for my 1 months instalment to be refunded, paid up letter and for the account to be closed. I will not finance a vehicle through VWFS again. I haven't experienced this levels of service from other banks. This institution does not have proper procedures in place. Ref.2350948 54503080.
For the past few days Rains network speed has been very slow. None of my devices or Netflix would connect to the internet. Getting hold of Rain is nearly impossible. There app does not function neither do they respond to messages sent to them via there website. As for the call centre, first agent I spoke to , informs me that all is fine and that the router needs to be reset. After resetting , still no conection. Second agent says the towers are down. Rain needs to get there act together and have competent employees in order to provide an efficient service to there customers. I am still waiting for this issue to be sorted out.
My account had been settled in full on the 17/05/23. Proof of settlement had been emailed to TFS on the 20/05/23. On the 22/05/23 TFS have no clue as to why the funds are not reflecting on there system. An employee even stated that they are not a corperate bank. They even ackhowledged that all the payment details and reference numbers are correct. Please do not use TFS when financing your vehicle rather use Absa , Nedbank or Fnb.
For the last six years I've been insured with standard bank. As soon as my out building had been built and completed, I informed standard bank who then sent an inspector to inspect the outbuilding and add it on to my exististing cover. Premiums increased and account up to date . Two weeks back, after heavy and consistent rainfall, my roof in my out building started leaking and damaged the built in cupboards . After informing the bank. A contractor had been sent out during the rain to inspect the roof. Few days later I received an e-mail stating that there is defect with the property and standard bank insurance will not cover the repairs. After escalating the issue, I was in informed that it will take a Few days to look into the complaint. During this period my roof had still been leaking.Extra damages and cost but this is how STANDARD BANK cares for there customers. Why didn't the bank complain about the so called defect when they insured the property.and when they inspected it. It was fine to debit my account every month but when in need suddenly structures inspected by them became became defective. Thanks Standard Bank for your pathetic after sales service. Why did you not disclose of these defects when your chosen inspector inspected the property?
