Called Nespresso Customer Care line before ordering, to enquire about the timeline for processing and delivery, when placing an online order. The lady iassured me that I will receive my order in 2-3 days, as they have a warehouse in my city. I explained to her that my order is meant as a birthday present for the next week Thursday, and I need to know that it will reach me in time otherwise I would rather not place the online order. She again assured me that it will be in time. I therefore placed my order on Saturday 16 May 26. On Monday afternoon 18 May 26, I called the Nespresso customer service again and spoke to Jessica to enquire about my order, as I expected to have received some info regarding shipment or tracking of my order. She said my order is packed and ready for courier to ship. On Tuesday afternoon I called again, as I still haven't received any tracking info from Nespresso. This time Jessica informed me that RAM couriers hasn't fetched the parcel yet although they were informed of it the previous day already. She said she will take the matter up with her team and get back to me. On Wednesday 20 May 26, late morning I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. I was informed by Jessica that the supervisor is currently busy and will give me a call back. Predictable enough, this NEVER happened. The order was needed for tomorrow, and for 3 days I was kept in suspense, being **** to. The entire attitude of this lady was so non-chalant and unprofessional. Never expected such extremely poor service from this iconic brand's customer service!!! After 3 days I have NO idea when these items will be send, Management is not interested in customer service and the consultant doesn't know the meaning of customer service and has no interest to assist at all. I would not advice buying from this business as it seems there is no assurances that I will even receive the items I paid for!!
Let me share something with you. We ordered a few large savory platters from Checkers Emporium in Constantia for 24 Dec 25, as we were having friends and family over for Christmas eve. A few people dished from the platters and started eating. With great disgust one of my friends showed me how the fly eggs was all over the ribs of the meat platter. With closer inspection we found many eggs all over. Our entire party is ruined and the people who already ate felt sick! Nobody was interested in eating anything anymore. I don't have words to express my disgust!! How many people ate fly eggs from platters that was ordered from this shop? These platters are sealed tightly and the lids are kept tight with stickers/labels right around the lid and bottom part. This must have taken place in the kitchen where these platters were made and packed. I felt so embaressed infront of all my guests. Our entire party was ruined!
Placed an online order on 25 Oct 25, believing that I will receive my order before or at the latest by 31 Oct 25, as I needed items as a birthday gift for 31 Oct 25. I had a couple of good experiences with quick delivery from them previously. My second last order did not went well, but I though it was a once off bad experience. Unfortunately this last order was a BIG dissapointment. I called customer service on 29 Oct 25 to get an update on my order. The agent I dealt with, Tania Carr, was arrogent and had no intention resolving my concern for the birhday present part. I requested a supervisor to contact me. Shameelah called me and introduced herself as one of the supervisors. I explained my situation. It appeared that one of the items I ordered was not in stock and she could not tell me when stock will be available again. She also said that the other items could not be send on their own. I will have to cancel my entire order. It will however take up to 14 DAYS TO RECEIVE MY REFUND!!!! I had to pay immediately, but because of them not having stock, I have to wait 14 DAYS for a refund!!! How can this be acceptable?! She then offered to replace the item with another similar product. The replacement item is more expensive, but was not my preferred brand nor did it offer all the functions of my preferred item. I accepted the replacement item, as she assured me that it will be delivered in time for my birthday on 31 Oct 25. As I received no notification of delivery on the 31st, I mailed Tania Carr, as I only had her e-mail adress, at 10:31 on the 31st. Her response was that items was send to the store on 29 Oct, it takes 1 - 2 days to be delivered, so delivery should arrive at the store today (31 Oct 25). I mailed her in the afternoon again to enquire until what time deliveries could take place on the day. Needless to say the birthday present NEVER rocked up at the store on the expected day. The birthday came and passed and today is the 1 Nov 25! Yuppiechef you are suppose to be an elite store with prices sky high, but your customer service deteriorated tremendously and you are such a great dissapointment! Shameelah you assured me that you will keep your finger on my order to ensure it arrived in time. But you know I can"t help thinking that this was a spiteful way of showing me how you will deal with my desperate situation. I will surely think thrice before placing an online order with you again! You were great but NOT anymore!
I fully agree with Nicolaas N, this casino use to be very entertaining . Last 6 months you never ein anything, nor do you get entertainment, as you put your money in machine, you loose it, doesn't even give you time to enjoy it. Drive far and have an expensive stay in the hotel hoping to have an enjoyable time. Same people win the draws, no use even attending that either. Very dissapointed, not sure what happened, but it must definitely be something major that went wrong! We were an entire group of people and all of our experiences were the same negative ones!
Really dissapointed in the quality of these chocolates. Also had a twice in a row bad experience with choc gift boxes I had made up in store at the V&A Waterfront branch. I was served by Emmy, and instead of giving me one choc of each in a gift box, as requested, she gave me 3 of the same in all of the boxes. As mentioned second time this happened. Luckily I only spend R1500 this time around, still not impressed at all. The choc that was tripled are the most horrible tasting ones as well. I am certain this is not a coincidence, but rather the ones the cannot sell, and they make up the weight of the boxes by doing so. This was meant as gifts, and sealed. Meaning you can only see if they packed what was requested after the seal on the box is broken and opened! I tried getting hold of the manager, Kobus, but he is only working during the week.Left a message for him to call me 2 days back, but to no avail. The owner, Lorraine is also not much phased by customer complaints, as I also left a message for her to contact me. Got no response on rheir FB page either, after leaving 2 msg's.Their customer service is worse than poor, and their chocolates are also not as good as it used to be.
Makro online are one of the worst online platforms to order from!! They advertise items they don't have, making you wait for 5 days then informing you that the items are out of stock, one by one by one!!! I ordered 9 items on 20 June 25. I received one of them on 27 June, the rest were all cancelled!!!! The item I received I actually just ordered to make up the amount in order to receive free shipping!! I stopped ordering from them a while ago due to their terrible service. Was looking for specific items, and discovered they had these items. I decided to give them another try. But oh boy, I am so sorry I did! Not even sure when I will receive my refund! Why wait for 5-7 days to be refunded, when they immediately received my money????!!!
Truworths online is one of the worst online platforms!! It takes them 3 days to process a one item order! When you request to speak to an agent the automated response of 5 to 7 working days is given. Why do they employ agents for customer service if they have AI that provide the exact same response. They loose so many customers with their poor online performance. I am always frustrated when placing an online order, which I will only do as the very last resort - item/s not available in the shops. Seriously Truworths, online orders are the future, invest in competent people who wants to work, who renders good customer service and can speak and understand English fluantly. It is time for you to get rid of the dead wood in your online department.

As far as online is concerned, you are the best online experience I had from all of the different stores and industries I have dealt with. Always a pleasurable experience shopping at Yuppiechef online. They always have or find stock of the items you order. Their products are high quality and their service is superfast and friendly. My favorite Yuppiechef store is the one in Constantia. The staff is always helpful and super friendly. Muhammed is the current and best manager at that store. He really deserves the highest commendation. Hope he stays there for a long time.
First time I bought items from Boardmans online, and also the last. I bought a couple of items 14 Sept 24. I first checked to see how long this order will take and ot confirmed 2-5 days, which means by delivery at the latest by 20 Sept 24. I ordered 3 grey/blue cup sets, but received a mail saying they only had 2. When I called Jill confirmed that the 3 set is available again. A day layer another mail to say only 2 sets! By Griday obviously no delivery as undertook. Received parcel Monday afternoon, with only one set of cups!!! Called 5X ranging between 10 and 20 mins waiting for someone to answer and eventually got hold of someone! I asked for a supervisor/manager and a "team leader" spoke to me. Said je will find out why warehouse messed up, nothing about conflicting communication from agents! He wanted to get back to me on Wednesday, but I insisted an answer today, seeing that the items were suppose to be delivered on Friday. I reminded hom that some of items was meant as birthday gifts for the past Saturday! He undertook to get back to me by end of business today. Needless to say I NEVER received a callback from the teamleader at Boardmans customer care! What a waste of time and money. Imagine the money wasted on telephone calls. Boardmans should have never reopened as an online store, their customer service is below freezing point. Boardmans you should close for good!!
