Bought a base set from UFO Furniture Alberton store in Feb 2024, since then my base has been exchanged 2 times, once only 3 months after I bought the base set, second time in October 2025 when Medi Spine initially didn't want to assist with my base squeaking again and they send Gerrie Snyman to assess my base.. he pushed on my base and broke it, a huge hole into the base, he then didn't mention anything in his initial report and still the refused to exchange it, I had to send photos of my base to proof that he broke it and conveniently left out that detail from his report.. to which Medi Spine agreed to exchange the base.. Now only 5 months after the exchange, the base is again squeaking non stop and the base's base cover is loose as well as some sort of *****s or nails coming through the top... The response I get... "Good day. Kindly take note, as per our previous e-mail sent on 17.10.2025 (attached), that we won’t be able to log a complaint for this customer again as they already had 2 complaints before. Kind regards Customer Service Department." Original email from October 2025... "Good day. Kindly note that the base will be exchanged under guarantee for the customer but we did a second option on the mattress for the customer to replace the mattress at a cost of R2 220.00 excluding VAT. Please let the customer know and also take note that this is the second complaint that we have on record for this customer and will not take a third complaint into consideration. Kind regards, Customer Service Department." Janlie Seffert So Medi Spine decided to cancel my warranty... when the law clearly states they cannot do that!!! While there is no strict, absolute limit (like "exactly two times"), the law stipulates that if a product is repaired and the same defect reappears within three months, or a new defect arises, the supplier must replace the item or provide a refund. The choice is yours, not the supplier's. Repeated Faults: If a second replacement also turns out to be defective, you are generally not required to accept a third replacement and can demand a full refund. Legal precedent suggests that after a first repair fails, you are entitled to a refund or replacement." I have emailed this to UFO Alberton, UFO head office, Janlie Seffert and Gerrie Snyman on the 26th of March 2026 and no one even rep**** or acknowledged my email. Is this what customers can expect from a "leading" bed brand? This is ridiculous and down right wrong!!!
My base is squeaking again and there is some sort of *****s or nails coming out on the top and the base's base covering is completely loose... after only 5 months... I notified UFO Alberton on Friday.. After waiting since Friday 20th of March 2026, for a response, I called Ntabiseng again... Just to find out that she did receive feedback from Medi Spine that for some reason they won't help me and just haven't send it to me.... wow... also she still hasn't send it to me as requested. Why??? As per my telephone discussion with Ntabiseng, I request a call from UFO head office. Nothing will get sorted with "okay ma'am"!!!! That's all that a store manager can say.... ridiculous. Also I AM HOLDING UFO PERSONALLY RESPONSIBILE FOR SORTING THIS OUT, I bought the base set from UFO not Medi Spine!!! This is unacceptable!!!
Please DON'T ever spend your hard earned money at UFO Furniture Alberton. "AFTERMARKET SERVICE" is not a word in their vocabulary, it is non existent! They come up with any and all excuses not pay out or exchange products you paid for and ARE still under warranty. Their employees have NO people skills and are so arrogant. ZERO STARS IS MORE ACCURATE, but on here we are polite.
I highly DON'T RECOMMEND!!! Bunch of time wasters! Chancers!!! I whatsapp them about spares, they give me prices and photos... Get there... Car is stripped and nothing is left of what they gave me prices on... Then has the audacity to tell me "Buy what we have and try elsewhere for what we don't" Then when you try and buy what they have, the price doubles... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!
Promised a Generator and on 99% said it's no longer available for buying as he made arrangements for renting it out... After order was given and viewing was arranged. Oh and lied about the generator being "faulty" Pathetic service. Don't trust this guy! Take your business somewhere else.
Vox yeah where do I start... Signed up in September last year, october my service went down for 3days, due to my line being canceled between Vox and Vumatel.. Sorted out after numerous phone calls.. Sorted... Then come December, same thing happens, this time for 4days and after 100 phone calls with no one coming back to me, blame being thrown between Vox and Vumatel as per usual.. After shouting, swearing and almost canceling my service in total, they switched it back on... Now I am battling to get my refund for those 7days, as the mistake was not on my side and I refuse to pay for that after using almost R500 in airtime (got the proof of this)... Sent numerous emails and yet again no feedback... YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CLIENTS, THAT IS CLEAR!!!!! And I'll continue letting everyone know how bad your service is till someone gets back to me and refund me. Ooooh and cherry on top... My premium went off this month in full and I haven't even received an invoice or statement from you like all the other months.. Pathetic service and people needs to know this before signing up.. As they signing up to a "SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED" BUT STAY WITHOUT FIBRE TILL WE DECIDE TO ASSIST YOU attitude.
Ridiculous, low standard employees, no sense of what they are doing, better to apologize than do their job correctly from the start, cause then it becomes the client's problem. Debiting on wrong date, not sending invoices,... Should I continue.. Oooh and don't forget their famous saying "the previous consultant FORGOT to tell you". Absolutely and Utterly disappointed!!!! I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me ASAP, cause team leaders is just as useless as their personnel.
