Quick to secure your business and make deals. Slow to follow up and stand by their word and terms. Not worth it at all.
Worst service. Our business line was closed, even though we paid account ahead of due date on last invoice. This was also done without any communication!! We've been using Telkom since its inception. Furious. We had to reapply for our number and then forced to get a new plan and device. Still waiting for technicians since Jan. Tedious, time and BUSINESS wasters!
I wrote my test on 19 November at the Pretoria centre. An unpleasant experience from the first minute. Address is wrong. No signage/flags like at JHB branch. Outside they have a poster saying to wait in the reception area before being escorted. I waited for an hour. When the time for my test came, I went to go enquire and was asked “who said you must wait?” Really? Then there’s the Covid questionnaire you need a phone for. I didn’t have a phone on me and a smart phone should not be an expectation. Also, this is a link that can be sent a day before, like every other establishment. In my test, someone had a problem with their computer. This caused commotion as they tried to set up right behind me. While this person was rightfully given the opportunity to write and finish while we waited, there was no consideration or effort to help resolve my issue, which was that I missed a whole recording during the listening test. These tests are not cheap. One sitting is literally more than what 75% of households in this country live on monthly. This disturbance cannot and should not be taken lightly. I have yet to touch on the incompetence and rudeness of the staff at this particular branch. Wow. What an expensive inconvenience. I did complain to British Council and was given the standard response that I must reapply for a re-write, pay, and sit for all four sections - again.
I've used Avis more frequently in the past few months and my experience has been fairly pleasant. Until today at OR Tambo. Sometimes all it takes is one bad apple. After being serviced well at reception, I went towards exit for car inspection. I wanted to report a mark and dent that was the size of my hand. After waiting 15min for the lady to finish with the customer she was, I approached her. She immediately became unnecessarily defensive and said she was busy. I pointed out that I'd been waiting before the car she was about to assist and she asked why I didn't go to her earlier. I responded that I was respectfully giving her space to finish with the group I found her assisting - just as she was expecting me to now do. She gave attitude and told me to go to the reception to be assisted because she's too busy or to take pictures. Really???? I then waited another 30 minutes at reception because they were obviously busy with bookings. I come back to find her sitting in a boot cackling with a colleague. Off-putting is an understatement. Time is money and to waste mine is the most disrespectful thing you can do. If you're overwhelmed by customers, discuss that with your managers, don't lash out over nothing AND waste my time.
The isles and collection points need to have staff who are available and efficient. At the collection alone I waited more than 2 hrs to get tiles. There were only 3 people ahead of me. It’s problematic on so many fronts. The staff in isles are more focused on talking. Only MP From flooring assisted as best as he could.
Not worth your electricity, time or money. DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES. Machines are problematic and safes are small so ATM is always out of service because it has no money after one day. It affects you because it's on your property and becomes inconvenient to your customers. Attempts to get serious assistance never successful. Stay away.
Mabopane station is the worst ****ing institution in this country. Corruption is rife and incompetence knows end. On the day of renewal, it took me 7 hours to get through, even though I was number SIX in the queue. People buying licenses would just go straight to tellers and get their things done. Online system irrelevant and another big waste of time and money. At some point one of the employees was harrassing me to bye a pie from her inside business so I could be assisted. I still have not gotten my card after 8 weeks because the ONE person on duty is never at the desk and I have had to wait 40 minutes and more for assistance. Today the person was sitting in the shade with security guards and told me to wait for her until she’s ready. We don’t pay for this ****! Do better!!!!!!
Delivery was a month late. Then UPS device did not have power cable, as it should. When I enquired I was told that it was taken out because it was an international cable that would need an adapter. "Just go to an ordinary shop and buy it, it's not that expensive. Or we can place an order for you" SURELY the correct thing would have been to contact me immediately after payment to state this. Also, since I paid for complete package, they should have ordered the correct power cable or left the international one for me to see what to do. Not waited for me to complain. It's not a simple cable and I wasted days, petrol, data, airtime and time looking for it. Nevermind all the phone calls to PC Link to find out about delivery and missing cable. Finally got the cable two hours away from my home. Do better!!!!! I chose you for the convenience but ended up being inconvenienced in all ways.
Took out a data contract, when that contract ended - their best offer only gave me half of the data I used to have. I tried it out but it would only last 10 days at most. After a year, I go ahead and cancel the contract I was told “can be cancelled anytime no hidden costs”. I paid off 700 for remaining cost of small modem - crazy but okay. Now I must pay for TWO more months and yet any data that was remaining is wiped off. Crook behavior - especially because you had no better data deal to offer and that your network is low and mostly an inconvenience. Lesson learnt. No more! Sies! Sales consultant was good. Just **** value for money and theft by company
