I thought I was supporting a local business. Possibly only in being the middle-man but certainly not as advertised "products manufactured in South Africa (Bloemfontein)" or "Direct from factory". I placed an order on 19 April and had to constantly ask for updates as to delivery date. Promises of "It will be shipped soon". I eventually got my order on 8 May. On opening the package I discovered that the soup bowls were actually from China (stickers on the bottom of the bowls AND listed by Temu). The quality is questionable, being very thin and will possibly melt with the first hot liquid I pour into them (consistent with Temu quality). I'm now wondering about the rest of the items - were they imported or manufactured here? And if they were manufactured here, were they just waiting for the shipment of the soup bowls to complete my order? Was that why they couldn't give me a shipping date and the reason it was taking so long? Pity I can't give a no-star rating or even a minus.
I bought a double bed Pure Pleasure electric blanket through Takealot in February, The one control has stopped working and as Takealot doesn't honour returns of this brand I had to go directly to the supplier. I have sent several emails to log the return without any response from them. Poor product and worse service.
I dealt with Rutendo Adelaide concerning a query. She was very helpful and I was well pleased with her service. However, I cannot say the same of the authorisations department. I've been waiting four days now for an amended GOP (it is Sunday the 3rd now) with my procedure tomorrow the 4th and I still don't have the amended letter. The WA pre-assist BOT put me in a queue and after an hour I hadn't heard anything, and no more activity from the BOT no matter how hard I try. I'm usually quite please with Oneplan's service but not this time.
I was assisted by Shannen Mc Pherson to load funds for a scan I'm going to have this morning. The funds were loaded quickly and I can now pay for my scan no problem. The service was quick and efficient.
I was assisted by Rutendo Adelaide on a query I had about a claim. I used the WhatsApp number to chat and got immediate and efficient help to clear up the issue I had. Nice to see such helpdesk efficiency.
I would like to give LUNO minus five stars but the system won't allow it. We have been trying to resolve an issue since December 2022 but after a number of emails (some Do Not Reply generics and some from the support team, with generic messages) we have not been able to solve the problem. In all this time we have not been able to trade Bitcoin and have lost opportunities to gain profits. We have tried sending a message to the General Manager for Africa on LinkedIn without any response. Can we assume that LUNO is going the same way as FTX?
I'd like to give Vodacom no stars but that isn't an option. It's easier to go to Mars than to get out of a Vodacom contract, which had already expired. We have spent many hours cancelling and re-cancelling an expired contract to no avail, they just keep re-contracting and sending updates on the status of the account. What does it take to get out?
It's difficult not to sound hyperbolic, but here goes. ZUKI Pet are a shining example of the kind of service all businesses should be delivering. They aren't "only" an e-commerce portal that sells pet products, they go beyond what is expected. I had a problem with a food product and Shana put me in touch with the producer of the alternate product with whom I could discuss my requirements. Shana kept checking up to see if I was happy.

I received an unsolicited spam SMS from Standard Bank Insurance on 10 November 2016. I am not a client and neither have I provided them or any other bank with my approval to solicit business from me via any means of telecommunication. I have emailed them the relevant Acts that apply to spam so I wait to hear what their excuses are.
