I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Makosi and his team for their exceptional service on my fireplace. It is clear that they truly care about the work they do. After replacing the required parts, they completed a full service on my fireplace that took nearly two hours, and the attention to detail was outstanding. Not only did they vacuum, but they also sanded and spray-painted the unit, and replaced the fire stones and all the fire ropes. The fireplace looks and works as though it’s brand new. Makosi is extremely polite, professional, and clearly very passionate about his craft. It’s refreshing to receive service of this caliber. I can highly recommend them.
I bought a Bosch dishwasher at Tafelberg Furnishers that they promote using a R500 gift voucher from Pick n Pay given by the dish washin cleaner company Finish. They ask you to submit via WhatsApp, but never reply. Their facebook page is littred with complaints.
I bought 20L of Pool Blue Topcoat from Duro on 3 Nov 2023. The catalyst measurement they they recomend with their product is 100ml per 5L of paint, except on a hot day when it should be 75ml for 5L. It was a hot day so I decided to add only 45ml of catalyst to 5L. The paint turned to jelly in just 5 minutes and was solidly hard in 8 minutes. I think they purposefully do this for you to waste your product to come and buy more. You can use 15ml of catalyst with 5L of paint and it takes 20min to dry. Don't use their misleading instructions.
Beware of this con at Vodashop Tygervalley. On Wed, 1 Feb I went to the Vodashop to ask if they have the Xiaomi Note 11 Pro. They said they did not, so I asked if they have the Xiaomi Note 10 Pro, because I heard it had most of the same specs as the 11 Pro (A conversation I had with the sales man). He confirmed that they did have the one of them left. The salesman showed me the phone in the box from behind the counter and asked if I would be paying cash or card. I could see it was the Xiaomi so I confirmed the purchase. He then proceeded to fill in all the forms himself and asked me to sign. When I got home I found that he had sold me the Xiaomi 10 and not the Xiaomi Note 10 Pro. I went back on Friday (2 days later) to ask them to exchange it for the right phone or give me my money back. Their opinion is that they do not have the Xiaomi Note 10 Pro (Why they sold me the other one) and they have my signature on the paper and would not exchange the phone. Note: If you are buying a cheaper phone that you can afford to buy cash or on card DO NOT BUY IT FROM A VODASHOP, THEY CHARGE MUCH MORE than any other online shop (eg. Takealot) Someone was having an argument with the salesman (Marcelino Jantjies) while I was waiting for assistance and my thought was people get so worked up, but apparently there is something dishonest about this guy. His manager Neville Kelly is equally apathetic, telling me there is nothing they can do and I could call his shop coordinator Coleen who will give me the same story. Sounds a little like there is some serious racketeering happing there

You can"t give Capitec less than 3 stars, because their service is usually so good, but what is up with their new app? I'm trying to transfer money to another bank account and apparently 'athey are aware of the problem', but it has been like this fir a week
I ordered a Madegascan Green Pepper rump. Someone else at the table ordered the same. When theirs came I tasted it. Tasted like butter sause with peppercorns. Just then my food arrived. I asked that they change my order to a normal pepper sause. They didn't seem impressed with the idea. Then the kitchen manager JP came out and declared that he will swap the sauce, but I have to pay for it, because that is how they make it. I didn't want to argu and agreed. But what I did want to say is Sir Loin, iam for the basics and try and hit that before you try and move on. Green pepper sauce tastes like pepper without biting into a peppercorn. Also service is important for you to get customers back to your establishment and from all the reviews is seems you are hiring some common folk
After a SweepSouth domestic worked ay my house recently I saw she had a strange behavour. I asked her to empty her handbag on a suspicion that she had stolen something. After a lot of protesting she did empty her bag. Various items from my house was in there. Some of the items were valuable perfumes and lotions. After contacting SweepSouth their process is to tell me how rigerous their vetting system is, but at the same time say, they aren't going to fire her unless I go to the police. No internal hearing or inquery.
After a long day in Gauteng, I'm sitting on Johannesburg airport waiting yet again for another delayed British Airways plane. I was supposed to board at 7pm, but will now only be boarding at half past 10. That is a 4 and a half hour wait. I fly up once a month and every time in those last 3 months there has been a 4 hour delay. Don't book with these incompetent fools. Try another airline
I would just like to thank Discovery Insure for their exceptional service regarding the claims I made against my Ford Ranger. To have two consecutive accidents so close to each other and have them be so considerate and friendly is almost unheard of these days. The claim administrators who assisted me were Nombali Maseko & Nelsine Khumalo, but I'm sure their attitude stems from a culture of good service laid down by the company Well done Discovery Insure, I applaud you.
