MY HP mouse purchased on 2025/11/29 left button is sticky. I returned the mouse to HP Store - Menlyn and was told it is wear and tear and don't want to provide replacement mouse. They ignored my request to replace faulty mouse. Under South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA), I have the automatic legal right to return a faulty mouse within 6 months of purchase. You get to choose whether the retailer refunds you, replaces the mouse, or repairs it; the store cannot force you to accept only a repair. To resolve this issue, take the following specific steps:1. Know Your Rights (The CPA 6-Month Rule)Your Choice: You dictate the remedy. Section 56 of the CPA gives you the choice of a full refund, a brand-new replacement, or a free repair. Zero Cost: The return, replacement, or repair must be entirely at the supplier's risk and expense. You should not be charged any fees, nor should deductions be made for "usage or wear and tear".Packaging: You are not legally required to have the original packaging to return a defective item.2. Take ActionLocate Proof of Purchase: Find your original till slip, invoice, or digital receipt.Contact the Retailer: Take the mouse and your receipt back to the exact store where you purchased it. Clearly state that the item is defective and that you are exercising your right under Section 56 of the CPA to choose a refund, replacement, or repair.3. Escalate the Dispute (If the store refuses)If the retailer refuses to comply with your choice or gives you the runaround, you can escalate the matter at no cost to you: For general retail goods: Lodge a dispute with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud

I recently purchased a laptop online and it was delivered yesterday. It has scratches on the lid and it has dirt on the rubber underneath. Funny how it’s still appearing to be in transit on their website dating back to Monday. I never received any delivery updates from the HP shop or the delivery company, including notification saying order was completed. R11k all for waste. I am disappointed and I think the website is a ****

I got a lap top in March. It was slow and the battery didn't last. Due to the inconvenience I escalated it in March. Spent 2hrs on the phone. The battery was better, lap top worsened with speed and freezing. Eventually escalates it. Have been on the phone for 4hrs. Now they need to send an something that will take 4 days! My Microsoft now says that my plan has expired, my docs are saved in One Drive which I don't want and the technician doesn't know how to change it. I should have been given a new one instead of all this inconvenience from a defective one to start with!

HP Shop Online provides terrible service, and I will not recommend purchasing from them. 1. 2 days after making a purchase, I asked for a tracking number as I had not received one. - They responded 6 days later! 2. I experienced faults on the product I purchased within 2 or 3 days and reported it to them. I was supposed to do it online, but "delivery" did not reflect on their side, which then did not allow me to follow the online process 3. They had no interest and sent me to contact HP Technical directly. After spending hours on the line trying to get help, they referred me back to the HP shop! 4. The HP shop did nothing for another 2 weeks, despite many emails which followed up on a solution. 5. About a month after purchasing, they finally collected the product for "repairs" 6. Now, 6 weeks after pucrahse I do not have a product I paid for??? I actually just wanted to return the product and get a refund, but the HP shop just shifted the responsibility and delayed the process forever.

I bought a financial calculator on 30 May 2025 and returned it on 2 June 2025 because my old one started working again. I had not opened the package, it was still sealed. I have been waiting for my money since 02 June 2025 up to date. HP Menlyn, give me my money back. I gave you the calculator, what more do you want?
