Contradictory & false information given by different sales people, lack of communication and keeping customer in loop (client must continually follow up), inability / lack of willingness to provide standard documentation to BC around building regulations & insurance cover. Instead of having the knowledge and expertise to tell me upfront that a job couldn’t be done. The Fireplace Warehouse wasted 2 weeks of my time. As we all know time is money… Initially a salesman is sent out to my house looking at the installation and telling me all easily doable… I wait and wait for a quote. After following up several times I receive a quote three days later. On asking for additional info re installation regulators etc, he is unable to answer any of the technical questions. On asking if I can then speak to his manager, he tells me he doesn’t want my business. I contact management & have a very good, helpful conversation with Karen, who reassures me re my concerns. During this conversation I find out there were several items the salesman had been dishonest about, including tentatively booking in an installation date. The sales manager is then sent out to look at the installation & to quote. There was one technicality he needed to check before confirming installation. And I was told he’d get back to me early Friday morning. Needless to say I didn’t hear from him and followed up. He then told me there would be a technical issue with the way I wanted it installed - I provided him with an alternate option, which he agreed would work. However they ended up turning down the job. Saying he didn’t want to provide proof of insurance and simple info requested by my body corporate… Although the people are friendly and polite - Not once did anyone at this company get back to me without me following up, a lot of contradictory information given & a total disregard for my time.

An excellent experience. From the first call to reception to the talk with the sales person to the person handling collection it was a great experience. Everyone was very professional and efficient and all my queries were handled quickly and my order processed quickly and correctly. I would recommend fireplace warehouse to anyone purchasing a fireplace. Old school family business that clearly are razor focused on customer service.

An excellent experience. From the first call to reception to the talk with the sales person to the person handling collection it was a great experience. We contacted Fireplace Warehouse to give a quote to convert our wood fire place to gas. 6 Telephone calls later, with Enrico advising on our last call to them that he would contact us the same day even if it was 2am in the morning this was 7 weeks ago, still not received a quote or email. We contacted their offices again and complained to the lady on the phone we had no response from Enrico and she just laughed (as if to say, this is usual). Well one call to Jetmaster and the very next day Jetmaster arrived to quote. BAD SERVICE FIREPLACE WAREHOUSE AND THANK YOU JET MASTER FOR YOUR FAST AND EFFICIENT SERVICE

<p>Received truly exceptional service from Hannes and Karin. Fitted the wrong size fireplace (underestimated), tried to address the problem, and then changed it, no fuss, no fights, no arguments. A really rare experience in South Africa today, where most people will try to convince you that you are the problem, or you're doing something wrong, or just plain refuse. I had none of that, and I can't get over the fact that I only had to ask ONCE for everything to be sorted out!</p>

Was interested in installing a fireplace at a new house. Before renovations started called Karrin to estimate time and costing required. She was more than happy to assist and once I was ready as promised she booked my date and provided her advice on the best possible unit for the area I needed covered. <br> <br> Install went smoothly and this being our first fireplace of this size, had a few concerns if the fireplace or our method was incorrect when burning as we were having some initial problems getting it going. Shaun was promptly sent over and tested the fireplace and provided the necessary tips to make sure we get a the most out of our unit. Now we are quite enjoying the unit, thanks to their efforts.<br> <br> Overall really happy with the service and look forward to dealing with them again when I renovate other properties.
