Blake & Associates
Based on recent customer reviews, Blake & Associates is drawing significant frustration from consumers who describe persistent collection contact, unclear account handling, and difficulties securing paid up letters after settlement. A recurring theme is repeated calls at unsociable hours, silent or dropped calls, and requests for ID verification that feel intrusive. Customers consistently mention disputed or already settled debts, payments not reflecting, and poor communication between Blake and originating creditors such as Wonga, Momentum, SARS, and Homechoice. Isolated positive feedback references a helpful individual consultant, but service experiences are overwhelmingly negative.

Will you MF's remove my number immediately from your system!! I am not Mr Edelman, and these calls are unwanted. I have already requested this before. If I receive any further calls, I will be forced to take formal steps to stop this, as it is now becoming harassment.

My homechoice account was handed over to Blake and associates and I started paying in July 2025 by means of a debit order (R1000, 26th every month). In January I received a call from them and my debit amount changed to R1245 from end of January and February. In the middle of March I received a call from them offering me a discount to settle my account which amounted to R3858 and I was debited end of March. In the beginning of April I called them to request for my paid up letter however I was told that my debit is not reflecting and it shows that it was canceled on their side and that I should send a proof of payment. I call again this morning only to be told that my last debit was in December then she then goes on and says I was debited R4000 in January which I have no knowledge of then she says my account has been closed but in the same breathe she says my account has been handed over. When was it handed over and to whom because I've been actively and religiously paying my account with them until end of March and in constant communication with them. They've been calling me however now I'm being told stories that make no sense

They call from a bunch of different numbers. Say nothing then hang up. Call them back, then it just says I reached customer support, and then they ask for my ID. This has happened over 30 times this year alone of the ones I picked up. Every time I ask to get removed I get told I must provide my ID number. At this point it feels like harassment.

I am a single mother who works hard to pay my bills every month, I got a phone call from a staff member, saying I owe my sars 7k over a period of time, I asked if I can have a updated statement, as my efiling say I owe 0, I then told them I will not pay a cent till I got the statement not only did they harass me and phone me 5 times every hour, but then started calling my mother, after two months of fighting they sent the statement to my mother saying I owe 1750 so and I would I sent another R500 as promised and because of the showing how much I owe, so last week I got a call from one of there call center agent or employee saying I need to pay my sars or they will take action he was rude, I told him I made a payment plan with a lady from there company to pay 500 a month she accepted it and did so, the Guy told me I have never made payment and doesn't care that I'm a single mom, he was not professional, could give my up dates nor how much I have paid

Very unprofessional experience. I received an unsolicited call from a representative named Notando or Lutando, and her attitude was incredibly rude from the start. She asked for my date of birth for verification, and when I questioned why I should provide personal information to someone who called me, she became irritated. In today’s environment, people are understandably cautious about sharing personal details over the phone with unknown callers. Even if it’s not a full ID number, you can’t be too careful. This kind of service makes me question whether staff there receive any telephone etiquette or customer service training at all. If this is the level of service being delivered by companies working with HUGE organisations, then that partnership seriously needs to be reconsidered. I will not deal with this representative again.
