Waggies
Based on recent customer reviews, Waggies attracts a sharply divided response from South African pet owners. Many customers, particularly pensioners and multi-pet households, consistently praise the product as an affordable alternative to pricier brands like Montego and Vitagen, noting shiny coats, improved energy, and dogs eagerly accepting the food bought from Checkers and Shoprite. However, a recurring and serious theme involves pets refusing the food, vomiting after eating it, losing weight, or falling severely ill, with several reviewers reporting devastating outcomes for their cats and dogs and frustration over unanswered contact attempts.

My dogs have been on hunger strike with this food. Bought the beef stew flavour from pnp because it was on special- what a waste of money. Its like gravel, hard as rocks. Needed to soften it with warm water so that they would eat- even then, they are just avoiding their bowls. Avoid at all costs, its nasty.

Bought a 8kg dog food, dog does not want to eat it. For many days he refused to eat until investigating i found out the dog food it hard as rocks and can only crush it by using a hammer. There is no valid webpage, number or email for this company even though its been sold in major retailers

Terrible product. My dog stopped eating altogether and I thought he didn't like the taste. So I softened it with some water and he ate some. It upset his stomach terribly and gave him severe indigestion and flatulence. The kibble is uneven and there are hard misformed objects in the food. I immediately stopped feeding it to him. Very disappointed in Waggies. You put our pets health at risk and your products should be recalled from shelves !!

Bought the smallest bag of Waggies I could get because I ean out of dog food. My 2 Jaxk Russels refused to eat it for 2 weeks. I gave them extra food from the table. There is definitely something wrong with this food.

I bought a bag of Waggies on 14 April. My 2 Rottweiler dogs refuse to eat it. I tried to trick them by pouring meat sauce over it. They then ate it, just to vomit everything out within 20 minutes. There must surely be somethimg wrong with the batch. They know Waggies as food. I had to go and buy another brand, which they eat and keep it in. Batch nr 4059 SM with BB 18/08/2027

we are pensioners and barely get by on the basic necessities. we love out dogs and really want them to have the best food. But most brands are so expensive. I went to Checkers and bought Waggies adult and they loved it. Thank you its affordable and good quality.
