I bought a 3 plate stove on take a lot on the 5th of may 2026 and today is the 24th and for the 1st time since buying the stove i wanted to bake something for my family only to find out that the oven is not working. Take a lot is not talking any responsibility. They state that the manufacturer must be contacted. Univa is not responding. Please help getting incontact with someone who can help me or refund me.

I bought a univa oven and hob on Takelot in April 2025. Within the first 6 months the oven's enamel started coming off. I called univa and they said they would send someone out to check it but it never happened. December one of the plates stopped working. I e-mailed them but got no response. In January I called and emailed them again In February a technician came to look at the stove and said he will come back to replace the broken plate and took photos of the oven and said someone will get back to me. Needles to say. I've never heard from them again.

We bought a Univa stove at Game N1 City just over a year ago at cost of over R 5000. After usage the surface around the plates attracted oil grease that don't want to come off now. The surface is like rough now and the wife is very unhappy. We paid a lot of money for a product that is not up to standard.

I bought a Univa 199L Eco-friendly Myltimode chest freezer from Takealot on 8 Nov 2025 and it was delivered promptly on 14 Nov Dec. I wanted to send it back to takealot but Takealot only take returns within 30 days. The date of wanting to return the freezer was within the time frame to the day, however a message from Takealot site says that they do not take responsibility and that we would need to contact the supplier. I went onto the Univa site and set a message as they do not have contact numbers available. I to this date have not had a response! One would also think at least that if Takealot does not take resposibiliy that they give contact details on who can help. No electrican wants to open the machine as they say that that will affect the warrenty. Perhaps leaving this review will help and I get at least a response and have someone from Univa to send a technition to repair and assess the freezer.

I recently bought the Univa U405-1 stove from Hifi Corp mainly because it was advertised as energy efficient and “plug and cook”, meaning it comes with a cable and plug already installed and does not require an electrician. This was a major selling point for me. When the stove was delivered, there was no cable attached at all. Hifi Corp then told me I must buy a cable separately and also pay an electrician to install it. This is completely contrary to what was advertised and is, in my opinion, misleading. I explained this to both Hifi Corp and Univa, but neither was willing to resolve the issue. Had I known this beforehand, I would have chosen a different brand. I feel I should at least have been provided with the cable and plug as advertised. This experience has left me very disappointed and frustrated.
