I am writing this review on behalf of Ms. Thandiwe Foyo, ID *** 088, a long-standing member of EasyPay Insurance, who insured her daughter, Bonisile Happyness Foyo, ID *** 087, who sadly passed away on 03 May 2026. It has now been over a week since the claim was submitted at your Springs EasyPay office, yet no payout has been made. As a result, the deceased is still lying in the mortuary, and the family is unable to proceed with burial arrangements due to EasyPay Insurance’s failure to honor its obligations. During this period of deep grief, Ms. Foyo has been subjected to unsound excuses, poor communication, and unacceptable delays from your staff. Instead of receiving compassion and efficient service, she has been forced to endure additional emotional and psychological distress caused by your company’s incompetence. Furthermore, it has come to our attention that this is not an isolated incident. Many grant and pension beneficiaries who pay EasyPay Insurance premiums experience similar mistreatment when they lose their loved ones. They are made to suffer through unnecessary delays, excuses, and administrative failures at a time when they need support the most. This pattern of conduct is unjust, exploitative, and deeply disrespectful to our communities. We will not allow our people particularly the poor, the elderly, and the vulnerable to be treated as though their lives and dignity do not matter. OUR DEMANDS We hereby demand the following: 1. Immediate payout of the full policy benefit owed to Ms. Thandiwe Foyo no later than Tuesday, 11 May 2026, to allow her to lay her daughter to rest with dignity. 2. A formal written apology issued to Ms. Foyo for the distress, delays, and unprofessional conduct she has endured. 3. Provision of appropriate support and assistance to the family during this difficult time. FAILURE TO COMPLY Should EasyPay Insurance fail to meet the above demands within the stipulated timeframe, we will have no choice but to: • Escalate the matter further, • Engage Provincial and National Leadership, and • Publicly expose EasyPay Insurance through media platforms for the ongoing mistreatment and exploitation of grieving families. We trust that your office will act swiftly and responsibly to prevent further harm and unnecessary escalation.

My sister had a funeral insurance with Easypay and they failed her when they had to honor her loved ones, she is not working depending on the grant money but still make means to pay the insurance so her loved ones can be buried with dignity, she lost her son who was not in a stable condition, he was hospitalized and my sister had to run around in hospital so her son can be fine but unfortunately he didn't make it and when my sister went to claim she was advised they not paying because the son turned 21yrs and my sister took a cover that covers from 0-21 also nothing was communicated to her and the son only turned 21 on the 9th of Feb and passed on passed on the 17th of March, they still had a nerve to take the March stallment in full but not covering the child, now we are desperate and don't have money to bury the child 💔 we need help

I have since taken up a funeral policy for myself and my children since 2022. I have been paying my premiums until I changed the card. I phoned them and requested for their banking details so that I can continue to pay the premium month to month and I was told I had skipped a month and it would lapse o if I don't pay an amount of R281.00 I then paid a little extra as I didn't want to lose the money that I had paid since 2022.i phoned their office to enquire if I wanted to cancel would they refund me the premiums that I had paid already and the consultant that I spoke to said No they don't do refunds I would forfeit all the money that I've paid to them. I asked her if that was allowed by law and she failed to answer me, i then asked her for the ombudsman contact number as I was planning to take it further but instead of cancelling I then decided to continue to pay the premium then last month after making a payment I sent them the proof of payment a day later I was told my account is inactive and I should call their call Centre I rep**** and asked the consultant what she meant by inactive and she never came back to me.

My mother submitted a funeral claim on the 5th of August 2025. Till date no payout was received, policy is active and up to date. When we call, the consultants say claim is being processed. It has been 3 months now. We call every week but no help is received, I have report Easy pay to the Ombudsman because you guys are failing to provide us with the assistance we require.
