I am extremely frustrated with the poor service and harassment I have experienced from Telkom regarding a WiFi contract that was cancelled in February 2026. I took out a WiFi contract with Telkom after seeing an adverti*****t for “unlimited and uncapped WiFi” including a WiFi router. On the first day, only the SIM card was delivered by courier. I refused delivery because the router was supposed to be included. Two days later, the router was delivered with the SIM card. However, the SIM only had 2GB of data loaded on it and was NOT uncapped or unlimited as advertised. I immediately contacted the consultant and requested cancellation of the contract because the service delivered was not what was advertised. Telkom then arranged their own courier to collect the router and SIM card from me. The contract was cancelled the very same day that the equipment was returned to Telkom. It was also logged on my Experian report as “contract cancelled”. Despite this, Telkom has continued deducting R85 debit orders from my bank account every month. I stopped the debit order because I do not owe Telkom anything. To make matters worse, I receive threatening SMS messages DAILY from debt collectors claiming I owe amounts of R170 and R282.70. I have spent HOURS trying to resolve this issue: * I spent more than 2 hours on the phone with Telkom in one day * I spoke to 8 different agents and nobody could assist me * I went to the Telkom store at Kolonnade Shopping Centre and they told me they cannot help me and that I must call customer care Nobody at Telkom is willing or able to assist. Today I received SMS messages threatening legal action, stating: “Notice of judgement - summons will be served and court order granted to recover R170 and R282.70.” This is unacceptable harassment for an account that was cancelled immediately. I had the router for ONE DAY only before cancelling, and Telkom collected it the following Monday. I do not owe Telkom any money. I want: 1. Immediate confirmation that this matter is closed 2. All collection activity stopped 3. Any negative listings removed 4. Written confirmation that my account balance is zero This entire experience has been shocking and extremely stressful.

I recently have been experiencing loss of network when trying to make calls. When calling the call center, I am expected to provide private information, which I am not comfortable sharing over the phone. The agent then refused to help me with my query. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, and I was told that they are not around at first, and then they are not there. The agent put me on hold for about 5mins for some reason, I suspect she wanted me to hang up. After returning to the call, she came with some sloppy advice and still refused to escalate my query to a supervisor or manager and said I have to go into a store to take the query further. I have been with Telkom for nearly 13 years, and this is the worst service I have ever received from them.

They cut our network off after we had made payment. We have een calling and sending all relevant documents to them as they keep telling us to do... for the past week now. And still the same, services are suspended. Worst part is the My Telkom app said we owed R1484.11, when you call and get told by a robot your services are suspended due to outstanding amount of R848.11 but to be told by a call centre agent it is R636. Where the correct amount as per Invoice was R716. What kind of ******* *****sters are Telkom? How can it take a week to find a payment that was made and allocate it to our account. They have the POP and Bank Statement to supprt the payment. Yet we keep being told... PLEASE SEND YOUR PAYMENT TO [email protected] and they will assit you. I have sent this mail 100x times. Im so frustrated as I work from home and cant do anything.

Good day. I am Sandiswa Lingela. I would like your intervention, I took a data sim card contract with Telkom. The agreement was to pay an installment of R199 and we had a misunderstanding because I received a statement saying I must pay R400. I called them several times to fix this error and I decided not to use the monthly data they provided in order for them to fix this. Instead they keep on sending monthly statement with amount increase each month but as per our agreement I'll only pay for the data I used and if there's no amount of data used I'll not pay anything.

I have a cellphone contract with Telkom ,which apparently is in arrears due to non-payment ,however after countless calls to their customer service depatment and their collections company" Nudebt ",who have the rudest staff that have the audacity to tell me that there was no money in my bank for the payment to go through and I need to learn to stick to my agreement and pay my account! Anyway after getting to a point of humiliation and screaming ,they apologise and explain to me that Telkom actually didn't request for the debt order in the month of May which caused all the unecessary calls from this terrible collections company ,!!!!Moreover this said company has been making ******* debit order transactions off MY bank that they were NEVER given permission by me to do !!!!. So I need to know from Telkom why has this inconvience been brought upon me due to an error in their system and WHO GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO ALLOW ANOTHER COMPANY TO TRANSACT ON MY BANK ACCOUNT !!!!!!

They refused to do a sim swap on my prepaid sim because I had a contract with them that I couldn't finish settling and when I asked for them to make arrangements so I can get my prepaid number back an agent said they don't want to lose their job. Which I don't understand because the sim was not the contract one
