Based on recent customer reviews, Stbb is generating significant frustration among property buyers and sellers, with a recurring theme of drawn out conveyancing timelines stretching well beyond expectations. Customers consistently mention poor communication, unresponsive staff, and difficulties obtaining promised refunds for rates and levies. Their proprietary tracking app draws repeated criticism for being unhelpful and inaccurate. A smaller group of clients highlight positive experiences with specific individuals who provided professional and friendly service, suggesting that quality is highly dependent on which conveyancer handles the matter.

A one-star rating is far too generous for STBB. I recently had them handle a property transfer. Their approach is strictly transactional. Once they secure their fees, client care drops to zero. Dealing with Inge Johnson was a distinctly negative experience. She routinely ignores emails and operates with a shocking level of arrogance. Her tone over the phone was entirely dismissive. It has been years since a professional service provider spoke to me with such blatant disrespect. I will never engage this firm again. Please everyone look elsewhere. They are highly efficient at extracting payment but entirely incapable of delivering basic service.

My experience with STBB Johannesburg/ Sandton has been unnecessarily long and it’s becoming unpleasant. This is my second property that I bought so I can confidently say that with my first one it took merely only about 2-3 months MAX when I had my keys in hand. This process has been extremely long and going on month 4. The communication from STBB is also not clear and consistent. I am losing patience and honestly wish I did my homework on this company before I paid my deposit and signed for anything. This will definitely be my first and last time dealing with them-absolutely ridiculous!!!

My Title deeds was lying in their office for weeks. No feedback from Natasha Walsh. Once I paid the fees they didn't give a damn. Icould tell Natasha Walsh is cutting and ****y on top of it!. She wasn't bothered by her slack service. The typical Devil's Advocates. Stay away!

Unprofessional and unreliable. It’s unfortunate I was a buyer in case . I don’t really have a choice of choosing the conveyancers I would have not looked their direction if had the chance . As for that app of theirs , reporting false information . I honestly don’t know what more disappointing their unprofessional conduct or the unreliability . Remember these are attorneys . They know the law . The are just as regulated like many other professions . Isn’t a code of conduct a thing ? 5 months later the house is not registered . It’s one excuse after another . Choose them at your own risk

I would love to give STBB Sandton negative stars but unfortunately it doesn’t allow it. They handled the transfer of my apartment at Kikuyu, and the entire process took over 6 months, which is completely unacceptable. You’re required to use their paid app, which is useless — it never refreshes or updates properly and offers no meaningful tracking. Communication was pathetic throughout. Tracy who handled my file, repeatedly responded to emails with excuses rather than solutions. The fees they billed me were incorrect, and at some point an extra R30,000 was added to my bill. Regardless of where the charge originated, STBB didn’t bother to audit or verify anything. Because the transfer took so long, the buyer owed me occupational rent. He stayed 2–3 months but only paid for one month. STBB didn’t even notice the missing payments even though they were the ones holding the rent. I had to escalate the issue just to get what was owed to me. And if that wasn’t bad enough — Tracy promised multiple times that she would handle the refund of rates and levies. A full year later, I have received no refund, no feedback, and no communication. She promised to help, but never followed through. This isn’t a favour — it’s her job, and she still didn’t do it. Overall, this has been the worst experience I’ve had with any conveyancing firm. I strongly advise anyone considering STBB Sandton to look elsewhere.

I have emailed for assistance regarding to take occupation of the house I have bought, the Bond have been lodge at the deeds office and awaiting for registration. I wanted to move in as the property is already empty. Because the OTP specifically states an occupation date of 1 February 2026, this is a contractual agreement. The seller is legally obliged to hand over the keys and provide vacant occupation on this date, even if the property has not yet been registered in your name. The autorney's don't even care!

The worst service anyone could receive. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. They receive so much money just for them to do nothing and you have to do their work for them, that eventually ends in more money lost.
